Everyone of the potential opponents plays summer football so not the greatest list of opponents. Sligo and Tobol are currently 2nd in their respective leagues so would really like to avoid them. Argentina v Chile was decent but Brazil game was a procession which was understandable given the number of players Venezuela had out. Not manage either of the late games as they start 1am U.K. time. The late games finished 1-0 to Colombia over Ecuador and 3-1 Paraguay over 10 man Bolivia.

Dykes starting was always a strange one for me. Both Nisbet and Adams had scored in the friendlies games before the tournament while Dykes had missed a number of chances. Why start with the striker who is not in from. Could understand if Dykes had started with Adams or Nisbet as a front two but on his own meant he was always going to struggle to make an impact.

Proper South American game with some agricultural tackling from both teams. Finished 1-1 with Chile equalising from the rebound after Argentine keeper saved Vidal’s penalty.

Spain should have won by 3 or 4 tonight but some how managed to miss a bucket load of chances to draw 0-0 with Sweden.

Hibs have a tie up with Brighton so got to wonder why they haven’t taken this guy if he is so highly rated. If there is no option to buy then I would much rather we give game time to one of the young midfielders we have at the club to develop them rather than developing a player for someone else.
