Thought we were poor in the first half yesterday and if it wasn’t for some good saves by Lewis we would have been behind before half time. As others have said Bates and Gallagher were abysmal. As a pairing they definitely don’t work and more and more convinced that neither will be much better playing beside another partner. Both and Considine are however better than Charles Dunne. We were better in second half but penalty was only way we were going to score. Think Hayes dived to get the penalty as did MacKenzie in earlier incident. However with the win and St Johnstone’s defeat we can now forget this season and never discuss it again.

Just cannot bring myself to go to this. Last two home games have been utter shite and cannot justify the expense to do it again. Any sensible manager would have Considine in for Bates on Saturday. Pretty sure that won’t happen though. Could try dropping McCrorie back in there instead of Bates and go with Watkins in his attacking midfield role to support Ramirez up front. Just have to scrape a win here but cannot see it even against a team managed by McGhee. They used to ground share with Hamilton at the old Douglas Park and it’s a lot closer to original home in Rutherglen. Wonder if there is any chance of them moving back to Shawfield as don’t think the Dogs are there now. Cumbernauld never worked for Clyde. The council have been trying to get rid of them for years and the residents of the town do not seem to have switched to watching them.

Burnley currently beating Southampton 2-0 and closing gap to Everton to 1 point at bottom of EPL. Burnley’s next 2 games are Wolves and Watford while Everton have Liverpool and Chelsea. Everton could be right in the shite.

Shinnie came off the bench at Wigan game I was at and improved their midfield so surprised to see he is not getting game time. Think wages might be the big stumbling block in trying to get him back.

Saw McGeady play for Sunderland at start of the season and he was poor in both games. Legs looked gone so a no from me.
