Our team has been utter shite for years so until we’ve replaced more or less the entire starting 11 then I don’t see why anyone expects any massive improvement. The start to the season was incredible but was never going to be sustainable so it’s going to take a lot more than one season to sort our dross out.
-
Fair play to the club, no fucking about this window. If they’ve got a striker lined up it’ll be perfect - on paper!
-
First half we were easily the better team but the second half was much more even so given the penalty at the end I'll take a point. Some save by Doohan. Not really seeing what Duk brings these days but no other alternative to Nisbet so let's hope there's a striker in the works soon. Hopefully Okkers will have better days as well. Palaversa is a really odd one. He looks like he should be a player but he's so prone to giving it away stupidly as well. Otherwise I thought most players did alright: Shinnie showed with the block near the end what he brings. He isn't the most technical player but he's got such drive and determination and that goes a long way in Scottish football.

We’re looking dangerous going forward, mainly through keskinen, so I wouldn’t be changing any of the front four at this stage.
-
Two year contract extension signed, here until 2027.
-
Moyes confirmed at Everton.
-
Bavidge was recalled from Ayr to be sent to Caley going by the article on the official site. It’s a pity as I’d rather see him being the third striker (at worst) after sokler and nisbet but if Gueye is nearing fitness then I suppose Bavidge might not get much time on the park and so long-term will be better served playing ever week in Inverness.
-
Bavidge was already at Ayr so no change to the numbers there and I doubt Stewart is high in Jimmy’s plans this year. Our problem isn’t numbers, it’s quality. We’ve got plenty of players but not enough good ones.

Looks like we’re fighting with the council now: https://www.afc.co.uk/2024/12/23/club-statement-proposed-community-stadium-facility/

The oldest footballing tale of woe in the book. Battle and compete all night, miss your golden opportunity and they go up the park and score A pretty decent effort all in throughout atrocious conditions. Special mention to Doohan for stepping up, would’ve been easy to crumble after getting smashed right at the start but pulled off a couple of brilliant saves to keep us in it.

We're a much better team when it's Shinnie and Nilsen in the middle, I'm really not convinced by Palaversa.

23 ahead with a game in hand now. -
Two Jags because he owned a Jag and was then given one as his ministerial car, which gave the tabloids apoplexy. Two jabs was a play on that after he hit the fox hunting prick.
-
It's never a great sign when a young player goes on loan at a level down and doesn't set the heather alight. Not necessarily the end of the road but you'd really want these boys to be shining in the championship to be reassured they've got what it takes to excel for us.
-
Good to see super Kev in amongst it after he had a hard time not so long ago.
-
Good old rob McLean’s sorted out the bbc live reporter’s obvious errors
-
What’s going on here? Just put it on before our game against the jutes and they’ve shown a table where we’ve got zero points even though we’ve won a game?!
-
What a season.
-
Quite impressive. Though if you find Aberdeen Ole repetitive…

Thanks for laying all that out. Aligns with how Republican-voting associates I have in California feel. A follow-up question if I may? Do you reckon the Dems managed to fuck all that up so spectacularly in just four years? Or is there a chance that this shit storm was coming anyway and they were "unlucky" enough to be in the hot seat? It's not a million miles away from how a lot of people feel the UK has been or is going and that was under the Tories, so not exactly a liberal minded government.

Correction: 22 (TWENTY TWO) clear of these fuckers with a game in hand? And it’s still, still only October? -

Just checking: 19 (NINETEEN) clear of these fuckers with a game in hand? And it's still only October? -
I'm not convinced that the "big money" offers will be there for McGrath. He's spent his entire career - barring four appearances - in the League of Ireland and Scotland and although he's having a good season so far, I don't see Celtic or anyone bigger than Aberdeen being all that interested. Possibly wishful thinking but if we continue to make progress under Jimmy and can offer McGrath an upgraded contract then I don't see why he wouldn't re-sign.
