  1. Thought the same thing. Good work Dave_min Slovenia is a nice country. Outside the Euro too is it not?
  2. Thanks, I'm still pretending that I'm doing mine (goes away to make a cup of tea )
  3. I think you would still have just as much of a chance of meeting a big team once you'd got through the first qualifier? At the end of the day though, I think I would still prefer to finish third, and just play the two legged qualifier. Our players would have more time to rest, and should we actually (hopefully!) get some new players in, they will have that little bit more time to settle. It'd be far more embarassing going out to some numpty team from uzbekistan than say a bigger club in the final round of qualifiers.
  4. LOLZZ!!!111!!! +1
  5. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, but Sandy Clark is in the EE this morning saying that the strikers have done well this season Don't really think thats true at all, apart from Miller, who obviously has won a cap, but even still, our strikers do not score enough goals. Can't see them scoring 7 in the next 6 games.
  6. I actually think that this may work in our favour (in regards to seve and cripple boy) as they will be aware that the club won't be able to afford more than what they are on, and probably, that no other club will offer anything near what they want. I know its the only positive you can take from this, because we should have been fine had we made the final....
  7. But another problem is, he isn't the quickest. So where do you play him then?
  8. Is that what thats about, I seen that on BBC Gossip.
  9. Aye, you do deserve better
  10. Another cracker of a post from Stooge.
  11. Stalker! Noted
  12. Indeed, I'd like to hope so. Did they not offer him a improved contract during his second season with us? I hope he regains his form with general match practise, but at the moment, I know he's not value for money.
  13. If I had a choice, I would prefer Cregg signed for us I just remember him having a good few games (not sure about this season mind).
  14. Didn't realise that, actually I remember a killie game being shown. And I know that hun game got covered when it was postponed 20 mins for people telling the huns what was what I guess I think i'm taking the league as the whole, because i'm sure they didn't show as many games.
  15. From what I read on MAD, it sounded like Smith had yet another horrendous game for us. They were under the impression he was going to get a new deal (I didn't think the club had commented yet). Im still undecided whether or not he should get a new deal, leaning towards no at the moment.
  16. Now why didn't we think of that But I actually do agree, Dorman would be a great signing for us, just a shame that he is most probably out of our price range If Falkirk go down, I would quite like to see us go for Cregg or Barr.
  17. But if I remember correctly, we didn't exactly get good coverage under the Sky deal did we? Setanta do give the most comprehensive SPL coverage, much better than what Sky gave. I think it would be a big shame if they went under (apart from the fact it would probably fuck us over). Furthermore, if they did go under and don't get any premier league coverage, the profile of the SPL is severely dented in England. I remember the first few years of the deal where it was an absolute nightmare trying to find a pub with it. The number of games I missed because that really fucked me off.
  18. As much as I hated scumtanta, they have done good things for the SPL and the coverage isn't half bad. I agree that the SPL never should have turned down sky's offer, and they certainly got too big for their own boots. As GD says, Sultana are losing the EPL, so I would imagine that we would see them investing further in the SPL, unless the infirm move to another league But I do think the SPL/SPL clubs actually have to do something to market the league better.
  19. This is also true, but I think its just a sign of the times, Scottish football in general is horrific to watch. I think it is clear if one team was even remotely consistent they would be challenging the OF no problem. But at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
  20. Completely agree. At the end of the day, Villa have done extremely well to even be competing for this long. Its a shame that we can't compete, but I don't expect us to do so. We have a league of nearly half the size of say the EPL, they have 4 teams who compete for the title, the SPL have two. It kind of makes sense. We've not done terribly against the vermin in the league, but as stooge says, we don't have the money to have a vast squad like them, more of a flexible squad. As you quite rightly say, he points out the grim reality of the SPL, it is what it is. I'm not enjoying it at the moment, but its not just us that are horrendous.
  21. Couldn't be bothered to start a new thread, so found the most relevant thread on here. Interesting and well thought out post on MAD regarding the quality of our team/SPL courtesy of Stooge.
  22. Jager, you should check out Unexist! I think you'll enjoy it
  23. Haha indeed on both counts! I suppose it is quite a chilled out album, but I don't think its horrendous. Still has a time and a place!
