See, I thought that would be the academy but that doesn't appear to be that at all. I guess they will continue to use the ASV in the winter Seems like a massive missed opportunity if that is rhe case.
When he lined up against us at Pittodrie I was delighted. Then we served up an incredibly insipid and defensive performance which didn't take advantage of this fact at all. I really hope that this isn't the case on Sunday. We need to run at him, he's easily the weakest link.
I agreed with a lot of what was said, although they do come across as over a bit hysterical at times. Whilst throwing a molotov cocktail at the system is all fine and well, at least she acknowledged that there are some scary aspects to Trumps (now successful) campaign. The fact he surrounds himself with Adolf Guiliani and the pillowcase wearer is warning enough. Personally, I couldn't give a flying fuck about humanity. Let them fuck up America (sorry MBT and DD) but if he continues with his anti environment rhetoric we're all fucked. That's my biggest concern (edit: world included).
One of my favourite stadiums in the world for those very reasons. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying the Emirates is the be all and end all. Having stood on the lower tier it was awful and the views are pretty horrific but the atmosphere (or lack of it at most times) is down to the Arsenal fans. Tynecastle is helped by the rake and the closeness of the fans to the pitch, something you don't see in modern stadia very often anymore. Big shame imo.
I'm more criticizing the roof structure, but the rake down towards the pitch always helps.
I know you were, but it also made me realise I hadn't put my point across correctly! I'd say those images will be fairly representative of the strategies, such as the structural one for the roof that are in place. I doubt much will change from the bowl view we see. Final layout internally may be tweaked but I'd say they know what it'll look like.
I agree Bb,the new San mames is a thing of beauty. I was gutted when I went they hadn't finished it. Would love to go to a game there. Saw enough from the outside and got to go into the old San mames before it got knocked down.
Ok, it's not a guess. It is basic. I (and TW), probably more than most look at these things.
Given what I can see, this is how that image will look like:
Some thing like this (albeit on a smaller scale obviously) is not hard to achieve. The structure is all contained, better materials and the rake on the roof is slopped towards the pitch which allows the atmosphere (on those rare occasions at the Emirates) to roll around the stadium. It's much cleaner imo.
Nah, I guess it's just basic, standard steel sections, prefer it when they're integrated into the roof build up, cleaner lines etc....it's going to look like a mecanno set. Anyway, will hold my full critique for now
Aye, right enough, but "God is in the details" and "less is more". As Ed says, they've obviously got to work within a tight budget but the roof is simplistic (not in a good way) at best. Functionality of the building is of course imperative in a stadium but I'd like it to avoid the look of the lego building...a.k.a new St. Mirren Park or whatever it's called.
I'm guessing the Uefa 100 must be in relation to the coefficient. Given we are at 202 at the moment, we have some way to go!
Architecturally disappointing, but given the length of time it's taken us to get this far, I couldn't care less. We need a new stadium and the facilities appear to be good. I'd be interested to see if they actually deliver the full 20K capacity on day one given we very rarely achieve near that figure.
The roof and structure of it is what I like the least, but hey ho. Acoustically that profile won't work the best it could do.
