Unsurprisingly, pardew has been sacked. They've been on a terrible run of form, confused substitutions and under performing squad after spending money in te summer. None of my palace mates will be sad to see him go, appear to be very hopeful on fat Sam taking over.
Seems like there is a general air of despair, apathy and annoyance around the club at the moment. Really need a good victory to not only get the fans back on side, but also and more importantly, get the players confidence back up. I think that's what's been frustrating about the past few weeks is that it isn't a case of not having the team to do better, we do, they just need to be set up correctly and get their confidence back. I don't doubt their desire to do well, just isn't clicking at the moment.
Hopefully this is the game to do it, especially since it's tough place to go to. A few strong away performances will set us up well to go into the new year.
Out
Christmas shopping
Home - possibly listening if I can get away from the family
Home
2-1 Motherwell, McLean
Seve and Heikkenen, even though I think it was for one season only? was my favourite midfield partnership in recent times. No-one has come close. Nicholson was awesome, but by then Seve wasn't his best.
Heading round to the family home, can't wait! Should have a decent turkey to pick up from the butchers on Christmas eve
Morning whisky and champagne
Smoke salmon most probably
Turkey with all the trimmings, normal bread sauce for my parents and I, not for my g/f and my sister (bread sauce is always one of my highlights of Christmas)
Girlfriend is making a sticky-toffee pudding and we'll probably be having some chocolate log as well
Food coma and more booze!
We can but dream KFP! Would be the ideal!
Watched the game down at home with my Gran, Malaga, we went berserk lol. My Dad isn't much of a football man, seems to have skipped a generation, my Gran absolutely loved it. Mind finding the game on the red button down here in Englandshire and being overjoyed!
My hibbie mate says when he's off form he's as good as playing with a man down. I don't think we can afford a luxury player like that. We need someone who is proven. What is clear, we need to spend money. McInnes' inability to have good transfer windows (in particular the last two) has seriously cost us this season. I hope he's got some ideas which are going to pay dividends straight away.
Watching MOTD , how the hell did West Ham win yesterday?!? Hull hit the post about 4 times! So unlucky. Second game in a row the hammers have won 1-0 courtesy of a penalty.
Went out to Faversham a couple of weekends back. No hills, in fact it's pretty flat as hell out towards the estuary and exposed to the wind but a nice walk with one of the best pubs i've been to at the half way point. One of the most haunted pubs too apparently, well worth a visit if you're ever down in Kent. Off the beaten track but definitely rewards you with fine ale and food!

Would Neil consider making the move back up north of the border? He'd be exactly the kind of manager we need, one that can spot a bargain and brings through academy players. Not sure he's too popular with Norwich fans though.
Certainly seems to have been something our manager has subscribed to. We just need to get back to basics and play to our strengths. Enough of of this over thinking over cautious approach, it is precisely this that has brought on this malaise in the first place. Something has to drastically change in our mentality / luck for us to even think about challenging for second.
