I'd agree with this. McLean has shown that if he is utilised In the right position he's the player we signed. However far too often , this season in particular, his position has been sacrificed to shoehorn Maddison in and he's not delivered. It should have been one or the other playing as its not only a detriment to the team but their own development. If it gets confirmed I'm happy but it shouldn't be at the expense of one of our own and especially at the expense of what we need.

Don't get me wrong LA, think we're saying the same thing but I refuse to accept the rhetoric that DM peddled from may last year. Regardless of the previous clubs history, we were a stable club. The signing of Garner, an average player imo, I couldn't give two shits about. I don't think he's a game changer. I highlighted the previous two because they are actually players. But DM has talked them up so much that now our players are calling them fantastic. We'll do well to finish anywhere near the two Glasgow cheeks. This Jan is different, they'll probably spend money, but we gave up before the last season was over. I'm full of cold at the moment so apologies if I'm not very coherent.

Of course we can, we were scotlands second team and were playing in Europe on a regular basis. The only major signings they've made of serious note was Barton and to a lesser extent sick note (kranjcar). Those and the players they have aren't players that are superior to ours. Unsurprisingly, pardew has been sacked. They've been on a terrible run of form, confused substitutions and under performing squad after spending money in te summer. None of my palace mates will be sad to see him go, appear to be very hopeful on fat Sam taking over.

Seems like there is a general air of despair, apathy and annoyance around the club at the moment. Really need a good victory to not only get the fans back on side, but also and more importantly, get the players confidence back up. I think that's what's been frustrating about the past few weeks is that it isn't a case of not having the team to do better, we do, they just need to be set up correctly and get their confidence back. I don't doubt their desire to do well, just isn't clicking at the moment. Hopefully this is the game to do it, especially since it's tough place to go to. Seve and Heikkenen, even though I think it was for one season only? was my favourite midfield partnership in recent times. No-one has come close. Nicholson was awesome, but by then Seve wasn't his best.
