Has there been any chatter? Christ this winter break is as boring as the international break. Can’t say I’ve seen many names banded about. Obviously we’ve signed mcginn which is a massive boost, surely we’ll be bringing in another body or two though?

I see the Huns have signed some guy from qpr called Sean goss (on loan of course)

A lot of the press down here have been writing about whether it is the end of his career. Would be a massive shame.

I think it’ll get chucked. Seeing those naysayers being all joyous will be horrific, thank fuck I’m not there to see it. It would be great if acc updated their development plan for the city to include improved transport links etc...which would have made all of this more palatable. I want the new stadium but the transport still leaves a lot to be desired. Given that the stadium and training facilities are all in the same application, I’d hope that if it gets rejected, the club will seek to ensure only the club and the community trust get to use it in a new application. If they don’t sell the land of course.

Absolutely, but that would depend if we were getting rid of mclean in the summer or in jan. if the summer, I’d be happy with a central mid signed to allow shinnie back. But I get your point re this game. Suppose in previous games (this season aside) we had jack fulfilling that role. I hope consi is fit. Rather him than Reynolds play imo. Think this is key. Rooney hasn't been great this season but the service has been the worst it ever has been (in this team) so it's hardly surprising given that balls like the one Christie set him up with have been lacking. I'd like to hope that McGinn will allow us to make the most of both strikers' attributes. Might be the type of player to help May get a bit of a run going.

I disagree, we need Shinnie to be able to play at Left Back, he gets booked far too often in the middle of the park. I love his passion but a booked Shinnie just doesn't provide the same level of tenacity. We need to find a midfielder that will provide us with his drive though, which is sort of what you're saying. Doesn't Reynolds get absolutely bullied by Hearts? I'm sure that happened last season?

Last game before the winter break, hopefully get a great crowd for this one. Decent record against them and I’d imagine they’ll set up similarly to Partick and try to frustrate us except they’ll be better on the break. Think Stewart more then deserves to keep his place, as did gms. Has there been any news on consi? Feel for Hayes as despite him going there, did everything he could to help us and the fans out. Certainly don’t wish him any ill will but he’ll be well looked after by then. Certainly rules out a loan away from Celtic park though. Not that they’ll be short of cash with van Dijk getting them a cool £7.5 m

Good chat guys Hard fought victory, a lot tighter than I thought it would be and not that many chances created. Some good play from gms / consi in the first half but failed to take it through to the second. Hopefully consi is ok, storey ran into him and managed to get a free kick out of it. Rooney was unlucky to have his goal ruled out for a high foot (no red tv reply so need to see it again) but was in the right place at the right time after some excellent play from christie. Stewart was probably worthy of his motm too. Still a wins a win in what looked like a Baltic pittodrie. Especially with the hunnery getting a win at home

After the predictable disappointment of the game against the dhimmery and the coveninent result at stybrox (again proof that others are helping the league be more competitive than we are), we need a win. I expect us to win this one as the jags are truly awful this season, despite a few freak results. Play like we can and we have nothing to fear. Are our injury concerns supposed to have eased by then?
