I was there last night at the athletics to see Laura Muir win 1500m gold, it was tremendous, had an absolute ball in Birmingham and saw a silver medal in the Rhythmic Gymnastics

On a more pleasant note my middle daughter is a nurse and was on nightshift on Wednesday and said there was an almighty cheer from all the patients and the staff when that german penalty went in which did make me smile

This is like every other game I have watched on Redtv this season - we look ok first 15/20 mins, canny break the opposition down and don't really have any clear cut scoring opportunities - we start to make defensive errors and something happens in the penalty box which is a wee bit controversial then they score and our heads go down
