  1. I'll be amazed if that prediction comes true, we haven't made any chances for weeks
  2. Brilliant article, cheers for posting that
  3. Great article, think our result is higher than 6th in terms of upsets though, totally love this picture
  4. Think we'd all be happy to win tomorrow regardless of style, otherwise its two weeks of moaning ahead
  5. I would also question the logic in saying what progress has been made, we over acheived in that Uefa campaign in terms of reaching the last 32. Surely folk are not expecting a club with the resources of Aberdeen to reach the last 32 in the Uefa/Europa every season? Progress for me for a club our size has to be centred around bringing through youngsters, keeping a good average crowd, regularly qualifying for Europe and reaching the latter stages of domestic cups.
  6. Everton have gone a bit pish to say the least lately
  7. Got to agree about the common sense approach, you will see it in years to come from the same ref I think, he will be moulded to take a more measured approach, apparently he's highly regarded and a cert for the FIFA list, not sure if thats by default of all the other refs being old or what.... I just feel if you follow the letter of the law every time games will finish 7 on 7, except when you go to Glasgow where it will be 11 V 7. Also someone posted earlier about why Nish did not get booked for celebrating his goal but fairly sure he did.
  8. Crikey loon, the pic made me embarassed to look in the mirror I can tell you
  9. Think we'll know more about the squad later but fairly sure Pawlett will be back on the bench so thats a boost Haven't heard much about St Johnstone other than at home they have been playing well, for me though this is a stick on home win and i'm tempted to stick us on the coupon as I can't believe we won't win.
  10. Its an interesting tactic to adopt, I don't think your to far of the mark. Look what happened to the crowd at Easter Road, the fans gave the team a standing ovation as they were totally believing that the team had given everything and had been cheated. The club seem to be making small PR steps to keep this feeling of being cheated in everyone's mind, it might help get the fans behind the team and maybe even pressurise a ref into giving us a few 50/50's
  11. Not those Chelsea fans again
  12. Agree, what the hell was the point of that drivel, he basically said nothing.
  13. Thing is what are they doing down the front? The bottom part had nobody in it during the game.
  14. On another note how good are Arsenal at the moment, total joy to watch that kind of football
  15. Brilliant Thought they played fairly well tonight to be fair but Unirea created some very good chances. Seville somehow drew with Stuttgart so leaves that group wide open.
  16. Surely it will be Chelsea fans
  17. I think we have enough to be worrying about results in competitive games without worrying about pre season games.
  18. Are there any women likely to be mad enough to go to Aberdeen Hamilton in December
  19. Totally agree, judging by Millers comments in the annual report he does too. On the face of it losing to QOS when I think we all felt rangers were there for the taking in the final was a feckin joke...... That was until our atrocious failure in beating Dunfermline in the quarter finals, not just once but in a replay also. With Falkirk awaiting in the semi final I think last year represented an even better chance to win a major trophy and similar failings from McGhee would not be acceptable. I'm of the opinion McGhee has already burned one bridge with that defeat against Dundee, yeah they are a decent side but losing to lower league teams is unacceptable for me. Maybe the game came to soon, but come January I expect us to be ready
  20. McGhee clearly has more in his head than Jimmy Calderwood, that said so does my cat. I think its to early to judge but the performances are kind of similar and the results are arguably not as good as last season. I'll not start judging McGhee fully until the Scottish Cup starts, I expect a good run and with the old firm total shite i'll be fairly pissed off if we don't get a good run this year. The quality of the team isn't there in terms of depth for a good season in the SPL but on one off basis I think we have enough there to at least expect another semi final.

Not sure about Mackie but Aluko was in the squad to go to Easter Road so presume it was a sickness thing. Heard a rumour both had the flu?

Expect Pawlett to be on the bench this Saturday, he only just missed out on Hibs game with his back problem, but he is training
  23. There's a difference though, you said firstly that you didn't rate Zidane et all, now your saying he was over rated? I actually agree if you think its a case of being over rated, there were to many games that passed players like Zidane & Jess to a degree, however for me there's no doubting his amazing ability, hence goals like the champions league final and all the rest of it
