  1. Surely the worrying aspect is how many of our youth system find their level at Peterhead!
  2. Yeah thats what I kind of alluded to earlier, old fashioned values got us to the top so weren't all bad. Modern times we'd have made a lot more than £1M with that kind of success. Just a shame ID couldn't have repeated the magic of DD

One problem I have is at work the quote feature works fine, old version of IE. However on my home computer the quote thing goes tits up and its like the box is fighting against me - maybe knows what I am about to post Any ideas?

Totally agree, LS is in my own experience a sound guy to be honest However on this one the site points to donstalk which is about chatting about AFC. I fail to see any breach of any law on this one, its not like it leads to a porn site or something, its leads to exactly what it says it will.
  5. Wasn't aware of those bits of info to be honest and I agree looking back now those sums especially at that time were massive amounts of money, there's also no doubt Anderson knew his stuff, just think DD couldn't be expected to have acheived anything more during his reign
  6. I don't think thats a fair shout, its easy 25 years later with the commerical nature of football in 2009 to say that but back then....I think the last thing you can accuse the Aberdeen board of that time of being is shortsighted.
  7. Stand by what I said earlier, think Mulgrew's general crossing is decent, whether that be in play or corner kicks. You can't realistically expect every corner kick to lead to a goal or a chance otherwise he wouldn't be playing for AFC. I presume you mean Harts general crossing, I do remember one game inparticular at Dundee Utd where Hart was given so much space and couldn't cross worth a feck. That said don't mind him taking corners much?
  8. Think I read somewhere Mo Ross isn't interested in a long term deal? Maybe Grassi will prove to be the answer?
  9. I think the overall handling of the game by the referee was poor but he made decisions which by the letter of the law could be justified. Dallas is totally missing the point though and that is common sense needs to be used at times, especially on Saturday, there was no malice in the tackles whatsoever. That said i'm not sure what the heck Miller is talking about, we'd all like to go 45 minutes without a booking but if someone makes a nasty challenge you can't not book them because its in the first 45?
  10. Think his corner kicks are fairly good too. I think his overall game is pretty good in general and would be difficult to replace with our wage budget.

I think we're splitting hairs, whatever way you look at it I guess its good news that its not a more serious injury but big blow to us that he'll be out for x period of time.

    Crikey, would prefer Pawlett myself.
  13. It will only be our saviour if someone is daft enough to pay £12M+ for the land at Pittodrie. I'm no land expert but I would have thought that was unlikely at best.
  14. Interest payments were £698,000. Overall loss £1.642M.
  15. Someone with the actual accounts can confirm but aren't the interest payments now something outrageous like £800,000 a year? There's also the fact that the loans have to be paid back next year and that the sale of Pittodrie is linked to the paying back of the debt.
  16. I would be inclined to keep Mulgrew, we're not going to get a good bid in January, he's not daft, he'll know any fee the club could have got will go towards his signing on fee. Surely its in our interests to keep playing Mulgrew when he will undoubtedly be playing for a move therefore playing out of his skin? I think this will particularly be the case in the Scottish Cup which we really need a good run in. Wouldn't be keen on us writing of any chance of winning it in a season where the Old Firm are so poor.
  17. The club was not in debt until the RDS was built, Milne wasn't on the board then, he only got a place on the board because we couldn't afford to pay him. I'd say at least half of the debt Milne is responsible for. I also note that Milne and his fellow board members are charging AFC interest of 1.5% above the bank base rate for loans they have given the club.
  18. So which one of Scotland's top clubs offered him a contract? Almost of all the fans are concerned about where the club is heading, £10M in debt, manager not been given any funds for players, we've lost 4 experienced players and signed 2 and a total reliance on youngsters. Mulgrew has served the contract he signed and done it mostly i'd say with a decent degree of quality. If you ask me Mulgrew knows exactly what he's doing.

However if he is out for 8 weeks then its not going to be a case of being able to go straight back in the team therefore will probably end up being 3 months?
