I think i'm big enough to accept a new manager without holding a grudge against the club, i don't agree with the people who wanted Jimmy ousted but life goes on. For every arguement I've made about why I'm so disappointed about yesterdays events, BobbyBiscuit, glasgow sheep, or whoever, has come back with a perfectly good arguement why it was the correct decision. Bottom line is AFC will go on regardless of who the manager is. I hope the club goes from strength to strength. I'm desperate for a cup final victory. I'd love to see some exciting football at Pittodrie. Aberdeen Football club is all that matters here. There won't be any sniping from me.

Mate, I'm 36 years old and i've seen plenty of football, good and bad, at Pittodrie over the years. Ask Falkirk fans where good football got them this season. I would much rather have a season of mediocre product on the pitch ending with a great day like today, than losing every other game 4-3 or 3-2 and battling relegation. Maybe the new man can give us football we'll all be drooling over AND good results. But if he can't, do we sack him next May? Aberdeen fans are fickle, moaning bastards. I worry that todays events could lead to a downwards spiral for Afc.

I'm suggesting the hate campaign against Jimmy for being fat/orange/weegie/hun/clueless/the list goes on, probably took it's toll on everyone at the club. We've lost a great manager because of 3 or 4 bad cup reults, and a very vocal minority of fans.

Very worrying news in my opinion. Seems certain now that Calderwood is offski, the hate campaign against him has done the trick. My biggest fear is next season it will be "----- must go", then the season after that "------ must go" and so on. Do we really want to be back there? I know I don't. Jimmy Calderwood, thank you Sir for the tremendous effort you put into Aberdeen, for returning some respectability back to our club, and for some of the happiest memories I've had at Pittodrie for many a season. A very happy day just turned sour for me.
