  1. He'll add some firepower up front... Yippee ki yay muthafucka.
  2. I'm a big fan of his toothpaste.
  3. Jeremy Kyle?
  4. I worry that without the full backing of the Board McGhee is pissing into the wind. It will be very unfair on him if (and when) he's judged on his first season at Pittodrie, if his hands have been tied behind his back during that time. Miller, Milne, whoever else was involved in the management change decision, now is the time to back up your choice, give Mark McGhee the tools he needs to make an impact this season. The last thing the club needs is the fickle minority of dons fans turning on yet another manager.
  5. Gets my vote, I was in the south stand and had a great view of it. What a strike. Seve v the huns is a close second for it's importance, and quality, and of course because of the opposition. I also remember McKimmie's strike at Tynecastle shortly after he scored an OG, and Peter Weir scoring direct from a free kick at Tynecastle also, special because it was the first time I'd seen anyone bend the ball round a wall like that. Weir was magic on his day. I fucking love threads like this, happy memories.
  6. He'll be missed. And I really mean that. Best footballer we've had at Pittodrie for years.
  7. Ireland rubgay player Paul O'Connell could probably motivate our troops. And he'd be good in the air .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjXO308_mKM ** N.S.F.W several 'F' words **
  8. Can't argue with that. I don't think he'd be that difficult to deal with either, as I've said before his family are really happy up here.
  9. Hibs away on the 31st October. Scary.
  10. Celtic, followed by Hamilton, Motherwell, Falkirk, St Mirren. Potential to get off to a flyer.
  11. Good job mate. +1
  12. I can hardly contain my excitement. So we're going to spend the money freed up from Jamie Smith's wages.....on Jamie Smith. A new beginning, a clean slate, a fresh approach. I'm nipping down for my season ticket right now.
  13. I've got to say I quite like the simplicity of the new Utd kit, and compared to previous strips they've had it looks ok. But it's still a Dundee Utd top. Gads.
  14. Voted Kerr. I don't think the red cards are an issue, one was for gobbing off at the ref but if he had the responsibility of wearing the armband I'm sure he could control those emotions better. I always think the captain should be the one who leads by example, and Kerrs workrate and combative style will surely spur on those around him. Diamond is one for the future I think.
  15. I still read topics afc-related on both afc-chat and the mad site, but choose to post my childish drivel here. It's natural for users to migrate towards a site with like minded people (that's not to say everyone here has the same viewpoint on every subject) but donstalk has some of the funniest, most intelligent posters around. There has been good debate about the rights and wrongs of getting rid of JC, and who his successor should have been. I'm not convinced by McGhee, but I am hoping his appointment will stir the entire afc support to get behind the club this season. Feel-good factor is the key to getting the season off to a flier, who knows what might hapen after that.
  16. I agree. I think.
  17. You got him there Nellie, nice one. (unless i'm mistaken it was classic BB reverse whooshology)
  18. Big fella up front with two little ones tucked in behind.
  19. I despise the Motherwell keeper, hope he's not on MM's list of targets.
  20. Jager was right all along.
  21. Oh yeah. STFU up smartarse.
  22. Aberdeen hope to conclude the deal before MM goes on holiday tomorrow. FFS sake.
