Frustration would be the word ajja, we (in the North East) have been reading misleading headlines about this fecker for weeks. Now - in good old fashioned afc style- it has fallen through. Frustration might be promoted to desperation in the coming days/weeks.

Absolutely spot on, who gives a flying fuck about what Falkirk and Hamilton are doing? We should be concerned first and foremost with Aberdeen - and there is gaping hole in our defence that needs to be filled quickly. We should also be concerned with what the teams around us are doing, and while I'm not going to pretend I know too much about some of their signings, at least Hearts and Utd have freshened up their squads. I'm casting an envious eye towards Tannadice in particular after their capture of Webster, who I think will make them a vastly stronger team next season.

I was responding to your original post, and you know that. We should stop before this becomes a 'he started it' argument. Mark McGhee has my 100% backing. 100%. You were the one who threw out the 'No sniping' challenge to the (so called) JIG people. Seve was allegedly shite last season, that fact went undisputed on any of the dons forums including this one. Smith played only a handfull of games. The rest of the 'pish' got us into Europe.

Mcghee can't really be judged on this showing (not that i was there). Friendlies are a joke - I hate them. We obviously need to strengthen the squad, and quickly. We'll see a different afc on Thursday when it matters. Niall you can be a right cock, why bring JC into this? Totally agree mate, this is not a swipe at McGhee, but it is a gripe at our club. Utd can't afford top signings either but at least they're being creative and filling the gaps in their squad with good quality players. I first heard about Webster yesterday and it's a done deal today. We'll be reading pish like this P&J article for the next three weeks, until we eventually sign some non-league European dude none of us have ever heard of.
