  1. Do people still think that? All I ever read on t'internet and social media about Ronaldo is about how generous he is with his time and money to fans and charities. Undoubtedly he's gone up in my estimation as a human being. Since his move to Real Madrid and his subsequent form he's been unstoppable. His performance at Anfield the other week there (the last time I saw him play) was absolutely brilliant. And I don't think many will agree regarding the POTT award for Messi at the World Cup. Just goes to show just how loudly money talks. There was probably a whole team of players more worthy.
  2. No surprise.
  3. I'll have a go at answering this one: McCulloch: £10k per week. Black: £8k per week. Coisty: £16k per week. And that's just to name a few. Unnecessary and inexcusable when you're in the 4th tier of Scottish football.
  4. WHy's that? That's a shame. I found it really useful for checking fixtures quickly.
  5. Both out of this world players in a total league of their own (along with Niall McGinn, obviously). Domestically I think it's hard to separate them but I'm going to say Messi shades it because I feel he performs that bit more consistently on the big stages of domestic and international football.
  6. Another big game in terms of our league placement. A proverbial "6 pointer". Would love to beat them after the thumping we got at the start of the season if nothing else. More of what we got in the 2nd half on Saturday and we can win this one. In/Out: Out Pre-match: Visiting my old man and doing some form of manual labour no doubt. Match: SSN if I'm lucky. Manual labour if I'm not. Post-match: Hame Prediction: 1-0 Dons. Goodwillie
  7. I do think Ash Taylor is starting to almost look as if he's capable of doing a job at CB back. Chipping in with a goal here and there is all the better. Man of the match? Wouldn't go that far. McGinn excellent again. He's really looked in the mood again the last couple of games. Strange first half. I think the plan was to bamboozle them with an odd formation and then revert back to a half decent formation in the 2nd half. Can't say it didn't work! Could have been 5 or 6 by the end as well. Another clean sheet is a bonus. Another massive game this weekend. 3 points plz.
  8. Win.
  9. Same. I remember being at Easter Road for the first Dons game since his death. Can't believe that was 10 years ago. RIP
  10. FFS. Gutted. Can't stop thinking about that McGinn chance right at the death too.
  11. Fucking Coldplay.
  12. Facilities in the South Stand FFS sake sack the board.

    Films

I believe they were "digitally remastered" so I guess it was the latter?
  15. I think their pitch is a huge advantage for them. They are able to train on it and get to know it very well. I don't think it's a coincidence that their first and reserve teams are doing so well in their respective leagues.

Watched Star Wars Episode 4, 5, 2, 3 and 6 yesterday in that order. Never seen them before. I saw Episode 1 back when it came out. Didn't think I'd like them at all because that sort of stuff isn't normally my cup of tea but I have to admit I quite enjoyed them.
  17. One of the boys that got binned (McHattie I think?) out for 6 weeks as result. I think it was Kenny Miller's tackle assault. Really pleased to see Hearts get a deserved victory Sevco get a deserved loss.
  18. How much do we reckon Pittodrie is worth again? £10m - £15m? If that's true why is it still ours to sell? Why did Lloyds write off their debt to us? Couldn't they have forced us to sell to pay back our debt (that they'd apparently written off in 2009)?
  19. Fucking 3-0 YAS min. Sma bounce.
  20. RIP
  21. Players that I've seen (maybe showing my age a bit!): Eoin Jess Willie Miller Alex McLeish Russell Anderson Markus Heikkinen Jim Leighton Theo Snelders Duncan Shearer Jim Bet Brian Irvine
  22. So is Lotiston completely out of the running? Do we really need a new stadium? If the land that Pittodrie is on wasn't worth an absolute fortune to hoose builders would we even move? Not sure that I buy the "Pittodrie costs x amount of millions to stop it disappearing into the dunes" argument. Sure it costs money to run but so much that it's genuinely cheaper to build a new stadium? If it was up to me I'd put 50% focus on a left back (and, fuck it, a centre back to replace Taylor/Anderson. We're debt-free. Let's go mental) and 50% focus on training facilities that will allow our players to avoid dog shite in the parks they use presently.
  23. This doesn't surprise me actually. The debt getting cleared has looked increasingly more likely than getting in a semi competent left-back for ages now.
  24. Whilst, obviously, I hope to fuck that this is the case I'm skeptical about it too. Rich people aren't rich because they like handing money here, there and everywhere.
