  1. I'd take a humiliating 10-0 defeat in exchange for a yes vote.
  2. The way things have panned out over the last week and seeing some of the shocking lows that No are willing to stoop to has made me more passionate than ever about getting independence once and for all. I hope to fuck we don't lie down and just accept it following a No vote. I'm really worried that we're going to miss out by the narrowest of margins. Kow will be overjoyed!
  3. The way this stuff about banks moving their head offices has been reported is a disgrace. It's merely a paperwork change which has been turned into a scare tactic. If I was with one of the 3 banks in question I'd have moved my account by now. Best way to make them pay!
  4. Well they got their obligatory penalty so I can certainly believe that.
  5. We just didn't have the quality to match the Germans. If they'd been even just slightly more clinical it would have been a cricket score I'm afraid.

Went and saw Sex Tape at the weekend. If you ever get the opportunity to watch it choose something else.

Aye but did the film have boobs in it?
  8. Or not! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29036244 ;D :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:
  9. He won't play, obviously, as there are perfectly good lower league Engerlund dwellers that obviously deserve a game ahead of anyone at Aberdeen but I'm sure he'll manage to do himself a mischief during a training session or warm up.
  10. For a hideous drunken wreck, Andrew, you do make some sense there.
  11. Why would they sell the naming rights for a quid?
  12. But it won't.
  13. Surely FIFA will tell them where to go?

    Andy Murray

Only caught the end of the match. Murray looked absolutely knackered. As if he'd never played a 3 set match before. Not sure why. I think he was 4-1 down in the 1st but managed to get it back to a tie break?
  15. Utter nonsense. Politicians aren't interested in what Joe public thinks about financial issues such as this! Since when have they really cared about what the public think? Like I said there is NO CHANCE of them footing "Scotland's share" of the deficit just because the public might vote against a CU. It's not up to the remaining UK public to decide on a CU. And I also disagree on the own currency being a vote winner. Most people would have completely shat themselves at the thought of any sort of drastic change, especially on currency.
  16. By the way.. I expect nothing from Westminster after a No vote. BoJo already wants to go back on plans to give us more powers if we vote against more powers.
  17. You're forgetting one thing. Money. Money before pride. I doubt anyone in Westminster is too concerned with looking stupid when it comes to a choice between money and looking stupid. See: Viggers, Peter. Ring any bells? That's the guy that claimed £1,600 from the tax payer for a fucking floating duck island. He knew that if that came out he'd look really stupid. But he decided the £1,600 he'd get out of it was worth it. Money is the most important thing to elitists. And I definitely don't buy that electoral suicide thing. If they campaign to the masses in England that agreeing a currency union was important to ensure Scotland paid "it's fair share" of the national deficit it wouldn't take long to convince them. A CU is in the interests of the rest of the UK. It will mean Scotland takes on its share of the deficit that Westminster built up. It also means (like you alluded to) that Westminster (or the Bank of England) retain a little bit of power over us. I can assure you any hardons that I may or may not have are not for a CU. If it was up to me I'd go with plan C which is a new currency entirely. And I believe it's also a matter of when and not if that that happens also.
  18. Well you can't ignore those referendum plans? The Tories wants the UK out of Europe. More and more of the general public feel this is the way forward. The EU have said they'll make membership for an independent Scotland as easy as possible (because we have resources they want to stay close to). The currency union that WILL, without any shadow of a doubt, happen in the event of independence means that we'll meet all the criteria. That's if we even want to be in the EU as an independent country. We'd still be in the EEA (like Norway) so trade costs will remain unaffected. (Another bullshit BT scare tactic). And to answer your second question: Not all of them but seemingly the vast majority are, aye. Anyone who believes all the BT campaign pish is a poor excuse for a human being.
  19. It's not going to go away, that's for sure. If 47% vote Yes and 53% vote No the 47% aren't going to just shut up and accept it. And that 47% will undoubtedly grow. Once Boris Johnson gets into No. 10 and Westminster renege on their promise for more powers for Scotland (as will happen) the Yes section will grow. It's a matter of when and not if Scotland gets independence. I just hope to fuck it's this time and not next time so we can try and put some of the oil money to better use. It's split the country down the middle and bridges will have to be rebuilt. I've deleted no fewer than 2 spastic No voters from my Facebook page (mainly for calling for a No vote to secure EU membership. Ignorant mongs) I'm still surprised that anyone is voting No let alone just over 50%. If you're undecided go and read The Wee Blue Book http://www.theweebluebook.com/ Obviously written by Yes people but the sources are either neutral or No. Do yourselves a favour and give it a read.
  20. I blame Feyenoord.
  21. That's what I said right after we scored but I was assured that wasn't the case. TBH be honest if Langfield had conceded that I wouldn't have been happy. It was 2-0 going on 5 or 6. We should have scored more. I hope the same Dons team turns up at the Tattie Bowl after the international break.
  22. Van Der Vaart wasn't there. Van Persie, Robben and Sneijder are a strong back bone for any team, aye, but players like Depay, Martins-Indi, Blind, Cillesen, Janmaat, De Vrij and Vlaar? and Kuyt? As I said.. seemingly hopeless! Most of the squad very either shite (Kuyt) or inexperienced (Cillesen) and you need more than 3, maybe 4 world class players to finish 3rd at a World Cup.
  23. That's nae fit he showed at the World Cup. Took a seemingly hopeless (weak as I ever remember seeing) Dutch squad to the brink! Ach I'm sure with his almost unlimited spending power and given enough time (he'll get a lot more than Moyes) he'll turn Man Utd around again to the relief of most of Aberdeen and Kent.
  24. "Loans". Dirty, cheating, lying, smelly, minky pricks.
  25. LOLis Van Gaal.
