  1. McInnes won't be sacked, that is absolutely certain SeeBass. He's here until he decides otherwise. However, if it ever did come to it that he left, I am going to agree with you regarding Roy Keane.

Keane is very much like Marmite, you either love him or hate him, there is no in between.

I think he's a Manager that would not let standards drop, he'd demand 100% each and every training session/game and he would not want to be friends with everyone in the opposite dugout.

Think on a quick check there, he had a 35% win record at Ipswich and 42% win record at Sunderland. Can't say I remember his playing style, in management anyway, but it has got be be far more productive and far less fucking boring than McInnes.

I like the idea of him being our manager, would be shits and giggles, but at the end of the day, he'd need to improve on what McInnes has done, that would be the main objective really, is he capable of that? We'd never know until he got the job, which is as likely as McInnes playing Bruce Anderson up front for the remainder of the season.

I'm literally in between. I neither love nor hate him.  :dunno:

  2. Update on the Dm sacking

It was a wind up apparently. Hilarious. Boy is taking a right slagging for being a dildo

Exactly why I switch off whenever The Hat is mentioned and why I rarely repeat anything I see or hear from there.

  3. Got to laugh at these kind of things which always surface when a team is struggling.  Has no one on here ever had a night oot after having a shite day at work???  Are they meant to just lock themselves away until 2.55pm next Saturday?

After that? Yes they fucking are.

  4. I have had many a dispute with the deluded cunts that think McInnes can do no wrong. One of them had an excellent argument " I have got more to worry about than the Dons, at least we beat the Huns 3 times last season "  :-\

Fuck off you odious wee wanker.

This is partially part of the problem as well, the odd result over the last 2 seasons has well and truly papered over alarming cracks, but some people are literally too thick to be able to think for themselves, Social media has well and truly opened my eyes to that.

The other one from the other night, and this got the old blood boiling was when someone posted the generic McInnes Oot tweet, this cretin wrote " Aye, because McInnes missed the Penalties didn't he " I mean come on to fuck, how stupid or completely oblivious can people be.

If you're on this Forum and think that it was you that tweeted those comments I have quoted above, then fuck you, cunts.

No but McInnes has the players so mentally fragile that they fucked it badly. Although to be fair there were Hearts fans waving scarves at them behind the goal.  ::) I hoped the days of that sort of thing were done after a wayward pie thrown by Dundee United fans at Tynecastle left Clangers completely unable to play against Dundee United ever again.

  5. If the DT fezbook comments are anything to go by, there seem to be a lot of deluded fans out there still.

Same on Twitter. I was debating with some happy clapping Derek McInnes brown-nosers last night. I referred to Hearts as "the worst Hearts team in two decades". I was quickly reminded that they were in the Championship not so long ago which is correct, aye, but I'd fucking bet that they're every bit as bad right now if not worse.

"All of Scottish football is shite, not just us"

"We're still 3rd. Why do our fans have such a sense of entitlement?"

"Not the worst Hearts team in two decades"

"Why should we expect to win every game?"

Fucking second worse Hearts team in two decades then.  ::)

Doesn't wash for me. The technical side of our game is one thing but it's separate to the very real recent issue of mental weakness, being beaten before we take to the park and giving undeserving sides far too much respect (Rijeka, for example). We very rarely turn up in the big games. I've said it a million times. I don't expect to win every game but I do expect the team to play with heart and to have a proper fucking go. That hasn't happened very often recently and it's the manager's fault. It certainly appears that Rocket was on to something when he said that McInnes appears to not want to be here. Then fuck off eh.

  6. Living in Los Angeles I follow the Lakers basketball and they had a number of injuries last season. Sacked all the people responsible for the fitness of their players. This is the second year running for us, questions have to be asked, this isn’t coincidence.

I'd definitely sack the cunt that speculated about one of our players (can't fucking remember who) had a broken leg a week or two back only for him to be back in contention at the weekend.

  7. Read further down the conversation. The source was supposedly a Liverpudlian who knows Kent's mother

However this "Liverpudlian" was posting in the weegie vernacular. Suspect its just a Dhimwit trying to stir up some huns….tbf he got a few bites. Ah well. I do see Kent got crocked in the first half of his debut. Lets hope it keeps on happening

Nae sure if that's true but but I suspect not. Why would any club be silly enough to let a player sign for a club knwon to be dodgy without any money up front?

But apparently he'll be out for a long time which is highly amusing of course.

  8. Taxi driver told me its coming to the P&J Live/TECA this year (although I can't find any evidence of this).  That's a bit of a coup for Aberdeen.

A good opportunity for Lewis Hamilton to visit Espionage.

I'm nae driving to Dyce in the rush hour to see that knobber.

  9. Great thread, SeeBass. Always happy to discuss 90s culture. Although the fact that Shawn Michaels' theme isn't an option is nothing short of a travesty. Get Kurt Angle in there too. Jim Johnston = genius.

The start of a wrestler's theme is key. All the great themes had a distinctive start. Exemplified by said Stone Cold's glass breaking. Brock's has this characteristic too.

  10. Pea-hearted shite. A disgrace to our country. First thing I'd do is drop all the plastic Scots. None of them want to be there and their play proves it. Some of them openly admit it ffs. Then get all the non-plastics to fuck who think they're above it or are embarrassed to be Scottish. I'd rather have lion-hearted players who are shite representing me than "good" players who are pussies.

  11. I stupidly agreed to go to the rugby on Friday without checking fixtures and going to miss the game against Russia. First home qualifier I have missed in a long time so probably means we will win.

    Is Naismith not injured?

I don't think so. It just looks that was because he's shite.

  12. Whilst this whole mess was created (and has been continued) by the Tories, the main issue has always been the Irish border.  It was never properly discussed, or conveniently largely ignored, during the referendum debates.

There are posts in this very thread from 2 years ago saying there are no solutions to this.  Although a unified Ireland is probably the only solution for a clean and orderly Brexit.

I have never believed Brexit would take place.

Oh and I see BoJo's brother can't be bothered with it all now either.

There will be nothing clean or orderly about the unification of Ireland. The proddies will kick aff big time. There was a riot just the other week in the Weej when a Irish Unity march was countered with a large group of UJ waving Huns. I'd love to see it but I can't envisage Ireland being unified full stop and certainly not without some large scale disturbance.

  13. With the expulsion of May and the introduction of the bumbling blond fool, at least the new PM knows that leaving the EU is what should happen - best interests of the UK + it's what we voted for - but he has no idea how to achieve it. Without a majority and consensus, the only guarantee is nothing will happen. The Westminster rhetoric is being confused by the SNP in particular who are mixing messages, uninterested in what the UK voted for and doggedly pursuing independence.

Good. It's literally their job to look after Scotland and Scots. 62% of whom voted to remain as we all know. Although due to us rejecting independence 2 years previously I would and still would accept ending up out of the EU despite that not being what I voted for personally. We made our bed so we should lie in it. And that should apply too to the Tories who voted May as their leader. They made their bed. They elected a remainer who apparently negotiated a shite deal. They then elected a man severely lacking in any sort of diplomacy skills required to bring MPs together. I still think Brexit will happen but if it doesn't it's no one's fault but said Tories.

It's a fucking mess and if the Scottish people do now have the appetite to leave England, I would have far preferred the SNP to have delivered a clear vision rather than relying on Tory incompetence to swing 2 or 3% of the remainers. Currency, economy and the type of EU membership are big implications for an independent Scotland and there is no further progress since the last failed referendum on the key issues. The SNP banking on Tory splits is one thing, that they're continuing to sell nothing concrete themselves makes it less likely that they'll get a majority to any indyref that England won't allow us to have so soon anyway.

I think the SNP will deliver a clear(er) vision. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from the 2014 whitepaper and if those lessons aren't learned then again the SNP will have to take responsibility. I can hardly think of any circumstances in which I wouldn't vote for independence so to me it almost doesn't matter what's in the whitepaper but for others it very much does so they need to get it right. The Tory incompetence will undoubtedly speed up the time between indyrefs but I don't think the SNP are relying on it. Like everyone else they're trying to navigate the political minefield that is the UK at the moment.

  14. The only way that she CAN be against no deal is if she KNOWS that this would be counterproductive to our interests.

We know that she's against it. We don't know why she is so anti because she has failed to spell it out, beyond the "loss of jobs" and other lines she spins, none of which has been backed up. Why is her crystal ball so robust, one might ask?

She's against Brexit full stop of course. My guess is that she is taking the opportunity to play party politics. If she genuinely wants a Scotland free from England but remaining in the EU, God help us. More than a third of us in Scotland voted out of the EU. The other 62%, including my own children, are too stupid to be allowed a vote on this issue.

There was a report published into the effect of Brexit on Scotland. This was well publicised at the time. I assume that's what she's referring to.

Who are these unelected that you refer to? Didn't we go to the polls recently to elect our MEPs? I hear this point made a lot and I'm not sure who it refers to.
