  1. Very few contenders from an AFC point of view which is why (I assume) you didn't post this in the AFC forum. I enjoyed watching Suarez and Sturridge at their peak a few years back. They scored some amazing goals.

  2. Catch me if you can. The 2002 version with Leo di Caprio and Hanks T.

Had never heard of it but the youngest was home for a night and we watched it. Thoroughly enjoyably excellent.

Still never seen it all the way through for reasons that I just don't remember despite thoroughly enjoying what I have seen of it. Will need to re-visit this one for sure.

  3. Alan Nixon reporting Stoke are following up on their iniital interest on Cosgrove.

£2million bid incoming allegedly and if rejected then they'll turn thier attention to Shankland

Nowhere near the figure of £7m that's being banded about on Twitter this afternoon.

  4. I know I said "McInnes oot" in my earlier post. But in reality I cannot see it happening unless he commits an act of gross misconduct that would allow us to bullet him with no compensation.

I was informed that his previous contract extension ( not long after the 2 day excursion to Mordor resulting in him rejecting sevco) had put him on approx. £15k/week thus blowing the sevconian offer of £12k/week right out the water. However I had no info as to his recent contract extension although naturally I presumed it would be on at least the same terms as his previous one. I've now seen a few posters elsewhere who are fairly sensible sorts so not likely to exaggerate saying that his pay went up to £17k/week. With roughly 2 and a half years left on his contract, a quick calculation shows that to bullet him right now would cost somewhere around £2.2million. Adding in Docherty would take the figure northwards of £2.5million. Coupled with the costs of then bringing in a new managerial team...….can anyone actually see Cormack doing it? Bearing in mind we seem to be struggling for seed funding to get the new stadium built I just cannot see any way the club will not just let the status quo continue. A slump into a genuine relegation dogfight in February/March next season might force action (by which time the compo figure would nearly have halved). But I really do think we are stuck with him for the foreseeable future  :hammer:

Cormack is minted. Ergo McInnes oot.

  5. I seen a good bit of it. I wasn't impressed. Played on the edge of our own box until we were put under pressure and hoofed it.

Mc geoch just did what fergie was doing in CDM. Paired with Ojo it was just flat and predictable. Fergie isn't the CAM to play in front of them as there was no movement and we couldn't play out.

Only McLennan get pass marks in my view. Let's be honest, that was pretty much as strong as we could put out and we lost to a Jordanian team.

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it many, many more times. He needs to change the system, it isn't working!

Interesting. I saw someone else on FB saying exactly the opposite.

  6. Eoin, Theo and Hicham.

I didn't use their first names from any sense of familiarity. Not met any of them. Just thought they would be instantly recognisable from their first names. Plus shorter and less typing. And then I followed it by scribing all this shite. Doh ?

I met the former two. Eoin was our neighbour in Bridge of Don and he was a gent. Dealt with us (local kids who were massive fans) really patiently. Theo was a grumpy cunt. Both cracking players though which is what was most important.

  7. Any of you see The Irishman? I thought de Niro was outstanding but there was nothing Irish about him. Scorcese tried too hard to produce an epic and it failed in my opinion. Good entertainment and worth watching but not the classic they hoped it was. The Golden Globes gave it nothing.

I watched it and the longer it went on the less interested I became. Overall I liked it but the ending was anti-climatic to put it politely.

  8. Speaking of films.. you cunts should take 8 minutes out of your day to watch Ricky Gervais' opening monologue from his hosting of the Golden Globes. Savage and unforgiving as the truth often is. A brilliant man.

  9. Ok ok questionable source I know (Daily Mail)

reporting that Sean Dyche @ Burnley is a long time admirer of McKenna and is lining up a January move for him.

Whilst I think it it is highly unlikely that McKenna would see much game time initially, I'm sure the wages would ease the pain for him of not playing. Alternatively he might just go down there and take his game to another level which could only benefit the national team.

It sounds like the ideal sort of move for him IMO and I have no doubt that once he gets his head down he can become an important member of their squad. Money plz.

  10. I missed the first 8 minutes of OAE but I thoroughly enjoyed it. As did the Mrs. We were all agreed that it had improved! I especially enjoyed the VR arrests and the Klopp impression tickled me.

  11. I'm all for trialling this sort of thing but I'm not sure if this is the best time to do it. You'd be best starting with a game that has decent atmosphere already instead of a game that will have a very low crowd and will have a non-existent atmosphere. Hope it works out though. The part I'd like to see the most is being allowed to stand without getting fucking whinged at.

  12. I got your comment. Just having seen him the last 3 games and the way his team responds, why not? National team is as close to a joke as we’ve been in a while, you never know. Honesty, hard graft and passion, wouldn’t do any harm.

He made clear in his playing days that he wasn't interested in our national team. I don't think he's manager material at all. At any level. There's just something very odd about him that I can't quite put my finger on.

  13. One or two observations in response to recent games and comments/claims made by participants of this thread:

Cosgrove isn't a dirty player. If anything I feel he lacks strength for being such a big cunt. He hits the deck affa easily and it's one of the things about him that grinds me gears somewhat.

Within the first few seconds of the hun game he was being penalised for fuck all. Absolute nothing "challenges" then a couple of further "fouls" later he was getting warned for persistent fouling which he'd soon receive a booking for. 3 x fuck all is still fuck all but the ref set an early precedent that he was basically allowed no contact. Any reputation he got from this scenario for being a "red card waiting to happen" isn't fair IMO. Frustrating but no doubt some hun cunt will have been chirping in the ref's ear. Which brings me nicely to (the actual referee on Saturday); Scott Brown.  :hammer:

Had Scott Brown made that challenge there's no fucking danger whatsoever that he's getting a red card for it. Or even a yellow. It's not even a fucking foul. Ajer has bought that one. The ref couldn't fucking wait to whip out the card. Wthere it's on their by line or ours matters not. Many are suggesting he shouldn't have done it but if we can't go to the homes of the cheeks and compete then we might as well pack it in for good. The speed aspect of the challange came from Sam being mindful of the player punting the ball clear. He'd have anticipated having to try and block a punt by the time he got there but Ajer was caught in possession and had to feign injury to save face. We were growing into the game. We were far from amazing but we were much better after half time and Sam was trying to keep Celtic pinned in up the park. If we're not allowed to do that then why should anyone pay to watch there competitions? As someone else correctly pointed out I'd have been annoyed if Cosgrove had applied no pressure and given Ajer the freedom and time to calmly clear the danger. Fuck that. I want my players, my team and my manager to show commitment to the cause.

This isn't an issue with us - this is an issue with another dreadful refereeing decision not unlike the one that the Huns got against Hibs. Only difference there is that the game was over by that point. Sam's sending off effectively ended the game as a contest.

Having said all this.. It still infuriates me how Derek McInnes approaches these games nowadays.
