  1. With the expulsion of May and the introduction of the bumbling blond fool, at least the new PM knows that leaving the EU is what should happen - best interests of the UK + it's what we voted for - but he has no idea how to achieve it. Without a majority and consensus, the only guarantee is nothing will happen. The Westminster rhetoric is being confused by the SNP in particular who are mixing messages, uninterested in what the UK voted for and doggedly pursuing independence.

Good. It's literally their job to look after Scotland and Scots. 62% of whom voted to remain as we all know. Although due to us rejecting independence 2 years previously I would and still would accept ending up out of the EU despite that not being what I voted for personally. We made our bed so we should lie in it. And that should apply too to the Tories who voted May as their leader. They made their bed. They elected a remainer who apparently negotiated a shite deal. They then elected a man severely lacking in any sort of diplomacy skills required to bring MPs together. I still think Brexit will happen but if it doesn't it's no one's fault but said Tories.

It's a fucking mess and if the Scottish people do now have the appetite to leave England, I would have far preferred the SNP to have delivered a clear vision rather than relying on Tory incompetence to swing 2 or 3% of the remainers. Currency, economy and the type of EU membership are big implications for an independent Scotland and there is no further progress since the last failed referendum on the key issues. The SNP banking on Tory splits is one thing, that they're continuing to sell nothing concrete themselves makes it less likely that they'll get a majority to any indyref that England won't allow us to have so soon anyway.

I think the SNP will deliver a clear(er) vision. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from the 2014 whitepaper and if those lessons aren't learned then again the SNP will have to take responsibility. I can hardly think of any circumstances in which I wouldn't vote for independence so to me it almost doesn't matter what's in the whitepaper but for others it very much does so they need to get it right. The Tory incompetence will undoubtedly speed up the time between indyrefs but I don't think the SNP are relying on it. Like everyone else they're trying to navigate the political minefield that is the UK at the moment.

  2. The only way that she CAN be against no deal is if she KNOWS that this would be counterproductive to our interests.

We know that she's against it. We don't know why she is so anti because she has failed to spell it out, beyond the "loss of jobs" and other lines she spins, none of which has been backed up. Why is her crystal ball so robust, one might ask?

She's against Brexit full stop of course. My guess is that she is taking the opportunity to play party politics. If she genuinely wants a Scotland free from England but remaining in the EU, God help us. More than a third of us in Scotland voted out of the EU. The other 62%, including my own children, are too stupid to be allowed a vote on this issue.

There was a report published into the effect of Brexit on Scotland. This was well publicised at the time. I assume that's what she's referring to.

Who are these unelected that you refer to? Didn't we go to the polls recently to elect our MEPs? I hear this point made a lot and I'm not sure who it refers to.

  3. Maybe you just got in his way while he was watching and he over-reacted. Perhaps you need to consider that sometimes in the heat of the moment some people get overly annoyed about silly litte things. Also, you say that Dons fans are "generally fucking pricks", but I'm guessing that the "fat mong" was not the only person that you walked past on the way to your seat?  Inotherwords, he wasn't particularly representative of Aberdeen fans, but more representative of "fat mongs". Whilst Rocket's approach is a good one if this guy was your equal, but if he's a fat racist mong, then why drag yourself down to his level and not just leave him to it? Or, apologise, smile and say "you're entirely correct sir, it won't happen again". You'll have appeased the stupid guy, plus you won't have to come on here of a Tuesday to tell us about it, because it won't be praying on your mind like it seems to be still. You've let the "fat mong" get to you, you see, which should never happen in life. Just laugh him off.

I should clarify for a start that we're talking about two separate people here. Said fat cunt and racist mong are two separate people. Only the fat cunt made the initial remarks but that sparked said racist mong into life. He'll happily shout at home fans for leaving early whilst hurling vile racist shite any anyone brown. The other folk in our row going back and fore for pies etc was also causing discontent which I found amusing. I actually apologised prior to them saying anything as I was saying excuse me to get past. The polite approach (which I will always initially take) doesn't always work. Especially if you're dealing with the irrational or unreasonable. I disagree that it's "praying on my mind" but it certainly stuck out which is why I mentioned it in the match thread here. It's far from the first time that I've seen such moronic behavior from Dons fans although of course this isn't an issue exclusive to Dons fans. If I didn't know any better (and I think I do) you almost sound offended, Rico. I assumed that no one on here would take it personally.

I'd be amazed if this is the last installment of this story because whilst I am rarely late my mate is late most of the time.

  4. I don't love Aberdeen any more. I used to. Then I grew up. But I'm grateful to the background it gave me. I learned how not to take shit. Belting cunts is the last resort but the threat of it is always enough to shut up the weak who aren't capable of fighting for themselves.

Well I've got a few years to go until I get to your age. ;) Who knows how I'll feel by then!

Said cunts said fuck all directly to me. But instead to my mate (who happens to be much smaller than me) and he was quick to retort. Also a NE mannie FWIW. Sticking up for ourselves when required isn't the issue. It's the mindset of a man who has a go at other fans who he doesn't know for being late to a fucking football match. Absolutely mad.

  5. Boris treating what's happening later today/tomorrow as a confidence vote thus allowing him to call an election. And what I'm finding utterly bizarre is that quite a number of Labour MP's who have been on TV today are saying that they'll vote down having an election (apparently under the new rules two thirds of MP's must vote in favour of an election for it to happen outwith the Fixed Term Parliament arrangements).

I couldn't envisage a better time for Labour. The Brexit Party will be fielding candidates in most constituencies down south and will cream off some of the natural Tory vote and could allow Labour (or Lib Dem) to sneak wins in constituencies which up to now wouldn't even be considered marginal.

Big winners  in all this are the SNP who will increase their number of MP's and still have a mandate for a new referendum when Britain inevitably does leave the EU via whatever method it happens under.

Not convinced that's true. I had a look at the poll data earlier today. Admittedly I didn't look closely at every constituency but of those I did Unionist parties (Labour/Tories/Lib Dem/ and let's assume Brexit too) outnumber pro Indy parties (SNP and Greens). Indy still seems a depressingly long way off.

I'm patiently waiting to find out Sturgeon's plan. I admit I'm starting to wonder if she even has one. I thought the same about Corbyn. I assumed incorrectly for a long time that he had a plan. He didn't. He's a fucking chocolate teapot. I hope Sturgeon isn't the same. The SNP must promise to disband in the event of a Yes vote.

  6. You really hate Aberdeen. Perhaps it's because you're not one. A real NE mannie wouldn't put up with that shit. There are mongs everywhere. It's putting the cunts in their place that defines us. You're too weak to be Aberdeen.

I love Aberdeen. It's the people (and more specifically the oil wankers) who are a fucking nightmare as well you know. What constitutes "real NE mannie" actions? Going round belting cunts? That sort of shit might fly at secondary school but it's not how adults should be conducting themselves no matter how tempting it might be whether they're miserable Aberdonian cunts or not. And for the record I am.

  7. Reason #17356 why Dons fans are generally fucking pricks.. a couple of which, sitting in our row fucking moaning that we're a few minutes late. I can only assume the fat cunt was incensed that they had to stand up to let us to our seats. Don't know who these cheeky pricks think they are. Even my boss would never speak to me like that even if I was late when it actually matters like to work.  ::) That was a first for me like. Makes sense because they're the same wankers that think they're better fans than the rest of us because they'll stay until the bitter end like mugs when the "product" on show is an embarrassment. One of them regularly shouts racist shite and is clearly a bit of a mong. Ideally he gets caught and banned. Cretins.

  8. Id've fancied us to qualify given the draws that Dudelange and Linfield had. There were a few brutal draws that they somehow avoided and ended up pairing Eintracht Frankfurt v Strasbourg, Wolves v Torino, AZ Alkmaar v Royal Antwerp and Trabzonspor v AEK Athens...……...every one of which would have beaten those sides by a 5 goal aggregate margin minimum.

But totally agree that McInnes is utterly clueless in Europe

We didn't have that difficult a draw. We should have beaten Rijeka (despite so many seemingly adamant that they're class above us. They are not) and we could have given Gent a real run for their money at least. We're agreed though - Our manager never gave us a real chance. (And Logan didn't help but he wasn't the main culprit)

  9. Agree with some of this but Davidson has shafted Boris, they might lose all their seats North of the Border, and all seats will probably go to the SNP and Lib Dems.  Happy days.  South of the border there will be alliances between remain parties which will minimise the damage that these Eton cunts could do to the country.  They might be leading in the polls but I just can't see them getting a majority at all.

That said, I think a vote of no confidence followed by temporary government (possibly not with Corbyn at the helm) and extension of Brexit date is most likely option.  Unless a legal move is successful.

You know what would have minimised the damage those Eton cunts can do to our country? Not voting against Scottish independence.

  11. Cheers min, will check them out. Someone else mentioned Holiday Inn Express for their park, stay and fly option which might do the business too.

I believe if you stay there then you get the parking for free or heavily discounted. I also recently heard of a park and ride bus service a ball hair north of the Forth Road Bridge where you can park for free and you just have to pay the bus fare of a few quid. Ferrytoll Park & Ride I believe it's called.

  12. I like it more than a more corporate name like "Costco Park" but not as much as something with hostorical relevance like Miller Park. (Named after Willie, not Alex before anyone starts feeling unwell!)

Selling the naming rights is basically what we did. By contributing large amounts of cash Cormack has effectively bought the naming rights so I don't feel that we've "missed a tick" as the mongs on Facebook are saying. The name is fine IMO. Much more important that we get the facilities and quality correct.

  13. The Hateful 8 was a big disappointment for me but if it's any help, my 17 year old went with her mates on the night of release and my oldest daughter went to see it in Rotterdam at the weekend and they both liked it too so there's three positive accounts albeit from the same family. I can't imagine anyone other than a moron giving it a negative. Specifically, they'll be complaining that there wasn't a beginning, middle and end, like a traditional storyline. But since when did QT follow fashion. You'll love it.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Hateful 8 although again I know of a fair few who didn't. If it's as good as that I'll be delighted.

  14. I'd argue that he never, plenty of games where he ran around like a headless chicken, unable to make a simple pass and worst of all his tackling was way below the standard required.

Like Ojo who you already hailed as the complete replacement a fortnight ago?

  15. I went to the cinema the earliest I'd ever been this week. 11 a.m. screening of Once upon a time in Hollywood on the day of release. Loved it. Tremendous acting by Brad Pitt and Leo DiCaprio.

Looking forward to seeing this one. Even though this is the first positive account of it I've heard! I know 3 people who've seen it and none of them liked it. I just can't see me not enjoying a work of Tarantino's.
