  1. I have said on here before that the sense of entitlement amongst our support is bewildering at times. We've had a poor week but are we expecting our team to win every week now or something? We are not Real Madrid, Barcelona or Juventus - we are a team with the third biggest budget in the league (light years behind the second biggest and marginally bigger than fourth and five biggest). Why the sudden notion that we are massively underachieving? Most people on here agreed a month ago that the manager had recruited well in the summer yet after letting him sign 9 new players you would sack him TWO games into the league season?

Jesus, nae this again. ::) It's nae about expecting to win every game. It's about how we're approaching these games! I do expect to see 110% from every player in every game and that doesn't sound anywhere near what we got against Dundee. Being outfought is not acceptable at any level. For the record I don't think there's anything wrong with expecting to win every game we've played so far this season. We've only faced teams poorer than ourselves which means we should win. Mitigating circumstances such as fitness so early in the season aside. If we get beat we analyse it and depending on what we find we deal with it in different ways. Whether that's giving it in the neck to McInnes or shouting at our chairman to fund more players etc. Rijeka aren't a bad side but they're not better than us. They have an average home gate of between 4 and 5 thousand. That puts their gates at roughly the same as a Falkirk or a Ross County. (Although I can assure you the latter two are charging a hell of a lot more than £11 a ticket to get in!) So what did McInnes see that he was so afraid of? What spooked him so much that he approached the first leg of the tie like we were playing said Real Madrid; resulting in an entirely avoidable defeat which would have prevented his hand being forced in leg 2.

Maybe it's the club who have a sense of entitlement expecting fans to spunk their money into the club no matter what shite they're serving us. Wish to fuck I didn't renew.

  2. Neil Lennon said today after their game that there is a possibility there will be another addition to their squad, ahead of their Europa League game, but he said the player in question will be Cup-Tied, now of course that could literally mean any player from any squad that has already played in the Competition this season so far, but the murmurings are that it is Scott McKenna.

IF that is the case, I would hope we get a respectable fee, and I probably would take Hendry as part of the deal, purely because Devlin seems to be a bit of a crock, so no harm having another CB, who knows the League, as cover/for rotational purposes.

    See what happens.

If this is the case we might as well just fucking pack it in now.  :(

  3. Ojo is a totally different player from Shinnie, he can actually pass a ball and dictate a game, SHinnie couldn't do that, my point still stands Ojo looks like more of a footballer than Shinnie ever did as a midfielder.

How long until everyone else sees this side of Ojo that you clearly have? So far he looks like Shinnie in disguise.

  4. Surely has to start with 2 strikers tomorrow, probably Main & Wilson. Picked up tkt tonight, apparently only sold 13k, pretty poor tbh !

Get intae them boot boot :hammer:

At least mostr of those 13k didn't spend hundreds of pounds to watch us play like fucking pussies in Croatia.  ::) I'm surprised there are even this many mugs going along tonight.

  5. Is it? They beat FC Sutjeska. Getting to the play-offs is surely only as much of an achievement as the level of the teams you beat? In theory, we could get to the league cup final beating only 1st division teams. That wouldn't be classed as punching above our weight.

I believe favourable draws like that are currently reserved for The Rangers.

  6. Wright did ok at Dundee in his loan there. That's his level. Too many of our support view him through rose tinted specs as he's a local loon and they want him to do well. But he just hasn't got the attributes to be effective at the very top level in Scotland. He should be allowed to go for free right now if he can fix himself up elsewhere.

McGinn I don't think should have started tonight. Not in that heat at his age. He's getting more game time than expected, probably partially to do with the lack of availability of Bryson.

Will be interesting to see if Vyner gets a crack on Sunday or stays on the bench (and if he does get started....will it be at right back or right central defence)

It wasn't particularly hot. Once the sun went down the conditions for football were pretty damn good.

  7. Embarrassing stuff. To play against such a shite team so cautiously was a disgrace. It flattened the fans and the game was a waste of everyone's time and money. We deserve to be papped out on Thursday. However I will love it if we turn it around as the wild celebrations from the Rijeka players and fans (including an OTT fireworks display) was also an embarrassment from them and will hopefully bite them on the arse.

  8. Excellent points and totally agree, you can see the difference in our midfield already with the signing of two proper footballers in Hedges and Ojo.

Whilst I agree that Shinnie very much had his limitations I think it's premature to hail Ojo as the vastly superior replacement in the way that you are. So far he's put in a couple of promising performances with the odd booking for a rash/poorly timed challenge thrown in. Sound familiar? They could easily have been Shinnie. I'm not saying Ojo won't turn out to be better either. Just that from what we've seen we can't possibly know. But then again I don't have an agenda even if he was overrated and quite clearly a knob. He never hid that at all.

  9. Just never really noticed the lad, but then again, I have only ever seen him when we've played them, and they always give us a difficult game.

Devlin being made of glass, Considine getting on a bit, Hoban potentially returning and being made of glass, Taylor being Taylor ( Not as bad as made out, but still not good enough to be our 1st choice ) .....if McKenna goes, we really must bring in another 2 CB's in my opinion, and at least one of them should be Left Footed.

Jack Hendry on a season loan from Celtic, or even until January, giving us time to find a replacement? Efe Ambrose if he still hasn't got a club, on a years contract? Either of those with a Left Footer coming in is doable.

Fucking hell that's enough to make me greet. I will not watch Effe Ambrose in the red of The Famous. And aye Gash is every bit as bad as is made out and worse. And apparently he's made of glass too. Out for 6 weeks after failing miserably trying to bin someone.  ::)

  10. It's a sad state of affairs. It doesn't look like there's anything that could possibly happen to make the gun nuts reconsider. Aye it's in the constitution that they have the right to defend themselves. Turns out they should have added a wee asterisk* to state that "abusing this right will lead to repeal". It's bat shit mental and tbh I can't really comprehend their way of thinking.

  11. Hearts are a fucking disgrace. As per usual. Absolutely brutal to watch and I couldn't be happier that we got the better of the cunts.

The fans were generally really good for once and got behind the team when they needed it. We got the best bounce at Pittodrie in years when the winner went in. As my bruised body will testify to! (Although the thick cunt sitting near us calling one of their black players (I assume) an ape and making reference to him swinging through trees is a fucking embarrassment and I hope he gets banned.  ::))

I thought giving Joe Lewis MOTM gave them more credit than they deserved. He made one really good save and was dependable when he came for crosses but it wasn't a MOTM performance IMO. Considine and McKenna did really well. They knew they'd be in for a bruising afternoon and they didn't shy away. But Cosgrove was my MOTM. And I wanted him dropped a couple of weeks back. Him and McInnes have got it right up me there so well done to them.

The cunt on the radio (not sure who it was) that was trying to claim that a draw would have been a fair result is a fucking disgrace to football. If you setup your team like that you deserve fucking nothing. Get it up ye Levein.

  13. Are mcginn and hedges automatic choices?  Seems so but I’m not sure that they have proven themselves ahead of Mclennan and Wright this season and I’d like to see the latter two given a fair crack. If I had a pound for every ball mcginn has put over the top of the box this season already, I’d be watching Thursday for free.

Forgive me, Redordead. I'm nae sure how many games you go to or see but this comment suggests to me that it's maybe not many? I've unbolded Hedges because I'm not sure about him but the other 3 I am. McGinn has looked more like the MccGinn of old so far this season whilst Wright has continuously flattered to deceive. As has McLennan although I believe an injury has hampered his preseason also. I hope they improve but I believe they have been given a decent amount of game time and they've failed to take their chances so far.

  14. Last I heard he was on trial at a Shewsbury or Southend or some shite like that. I believe he held us to ransom over wages. He was captain at St. Johnstone and wanted to be one of our higher earners. It sounded to me like his agent (Dad?) fucked it up. As a result we had to sign Ash Taylor. :( Who is now injured of course after putting in a ridiculous challenge on Thursday.

  15. I voted Yes, but I only ever used the "England could even vote for Boris Johnson as PM and there's nothing Scotland could do to stop it" as a ridiculous example that would never actually come true.

Give yourself more credit min. Your worst case scenario prediction came true.  :
