EE: Aberdeen FC boss targets three new signings
redordead replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
anybody surprised by this -
If Killen's going free we should be looking at a deal
-
is it Keane because he is genuinely a class act and the rest are past it or a bit too pish to play down south ??
-
From the article he could be decent, just hope he can do a job for us
-
OK then I apologise, better'd send me 3. or Maybe the club should look into trying to retain control of these matters and improving their situation.

It's that time of year for me once again to show my lack of love for the club by criticising their policies and lack of interest in their fans. Particularly the younger fans. ( few we have left ) 3 weeks ago I bought 2 of my sons World cup strips. Nike kits with shorts and socks included £30 each for the whole thing. 2 weeks ago I bought 2 Scotland kits at £35 each for the whole thing. Today I went onto the AFC website and refused to pay £58 each for a kids kit which lets face it comes from a catalogue. Kits for my younger again son aren't even on sale yet and probably won't be until after August. The quality of this product ( if previous is anything to go on ) is likely to be awful. Where's the incentive for me to buy kits from AFC for my kids when they ask for Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea kits at 2 thirds of the cost. As I've said before the money is not the issue, it is the deviation between what AFC charge against the others. (old firm, perish the thought £30 ) They aren't interested in getting our kids to the games and supporting the team. Instead they concentrate on bleeding dry the existing support. If someone at AFC reads this, PLEASE NOTE: my 6 year old has watched every Holland game since getting his strip, my 4 year old watched Italy and cheered them on, because he had a strip. Just think what a dons strip would do to them with a team they can go to see??

lets sign the kiwi who was on hols from the bank to play at the world cup, a couple of North Koreans ( the exhalted one would happily lend MMG a couple of citizens) and most of the Ross county team. Forgot to mention the cave brown boy who's still unemployed. Sure we could switch him from RB to LB.

If diddies like grassi think they're better off elsewhere then we may as well board up the turnstyles. Whilst far from sad to see him go, I am embarrassed for the club that someone playing way above his level has turned his back on them. MMG must be bricking it. I know last year was poor, but surely someone would still like to play for us!

looks like the Aston's a goner then

great opportunity to hit the ground running and build confidence. Just wish I could shake the feeling that the opposite could and is more likely to happen

great one liner

Mulgrew set to join Sheffield United Published: 12/06/2010 ABERDEEN defender Charlie Mulgrew is expected to seal his departure from Pittodrie next week when he signs for Sheffield United. The former Scotland under-21 international has verbally agreed a three-year deal with the English Championship club and will complete the formalities upon his return from holiday in Turkey. Mulgrew, who joined the Dons from Wolves two years ago, has offers from other clubs in England, Brentford and Huddersfield, as well as Portuguese club Maritimo, but has decided to link-up with Blades manager Kevin Blackwell following the offer of a three-year contract. Blackwell said: “He is a player we are interested in but it is at a delicate stage. “He has been on our radar for a while, although his agent is talking to other clubs.” Aberdeen have added another fixture to their pre-season campaign. The Dons will head to Glebe Park to face Brechin City in the David Will memorial match on Tuesday, August 3 (kick-off 7.45pm). Mark McGhee’s men face Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Dunfermline before heading for a week in England from July 23 where they will play against Tamworth, Port Vale and Brighton and Hove Albion. They return to the north-east ahead of the Scottish Premier League kick off on August 14. Read more: http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1779528#ixzz0qcuyJxj9 I wonder if he'll be a centre half or left back, or bench warmer of course.

If he has a clue where the pokey is then he's bloody lightyears ahead of what we've got. If he has a scoring record we should bend over backwards to get him in ASAP.
-
If Sone had removed the finger during the season, he'd be too busy at the world cup to play on facebook. Hopefully realising this will increase his effort next season.

surely one goal against dnipro in 10 years doesn't justify a big thankyou.

Dons Target Hitman "Kevin Kyle" signs for .....
redordead replied to 19afc03's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Hearts = scottish Portsmouth. It will all come to a head and bite them in the ass. If Kyle and the boy from Falkirk were stupid enough to go there, knowing romanov and their unusual debt arrangements then they have only looked at short term gain and not their careers. I await the hearts players not paid headlines again this season. When they go under how we'll laugh !! -
MY by the pool or by the fax line is now vindicated. Who uses fax ? MMG does obviously.

apologies for an outdated choice of medium

If we've been tracking 100+ players over the last few months why are things so quiet. I fear that by the time the budget is settled there'll be little activity( sorry productivity ) achieved. Has anyone heard of anything going on at pittodrie or has everyone buggered off on their jollies.. After last season I expected 24/7 commitment to rectify the situation. Surely we could have tapped up a few already on pre contracts. Maybe a flurry on june 1st will make me look foolish( I hope it does ) but the club just seem to be too quiet of late. P.s Keigan parker to be released, does anyone know if he's still any good?
-
is Cave Brown not a scotland junior international, sure he was in u19 world cup squad and from what I remember of the telly games was a very handy player. If he is who I think he is we should jump at it. Johnny Macken might just stilll do a job for us, may just be his level. Anderson Silva of barnsley I've seen in cup game on TV and looked pretty effective in midfield. Creative and willing to have a go. Something we currently don't have. Finally Volz has been released, played in scotland before and a solid player. could help shore up the back, sadly plays in fosters spot, I'd kinda miss the wee guy.

Dons join queue for Mehmet/6 New Players required 21/4/10
redordead replied to BobbyBiscuit's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Cregg could just be the ," boot in " tough midfield winner we're crying out for. Not a bad ball player either. I'd take him over what we have in a heartbeat. I can only assume Falkirk can't afford to pay him, which begs the question. Can we?? -

Scobie's a great shout if no fee was required. Flynn's a live wire but the game controller we're screaming for -
FANTASTIC shot stopper and still young, would be more than a replacement for langfield. That'd be good business in my view.
