  1. two types of ultra in my view: kids and social inadequates
  2. oh bollocks, did that quote thing wrong again, sorry Padre, quick reply is too confusing
  3. I was gutted when Kerr got the nod and now it's blatantly clear why.. he was indeed honking. Sadly MacDonald seems to be going off his game too, probably playing beside shit week in week out. Thought bebo and Pawlett done really well, and clangers was superb ( did anyone else notice the change in attitude at cross balls and passbacks, eh Jim? ) Those three apart we looked like we still don't know what we're doing. I'd have thought 2 weeks of uninterrupted training might have helped with the game plan, but apparently not. Looked very narrow throughout and lacked attacking nouse. When Falkirk got the ball they spread it and attacked our full backs all night, and if I'm honest they should have had 2 or 3. I'm now of the opinion that we should give the whole reserve team their chance as their senior counterparts have yet again failed to turn up for 80 minutes. I don't blame McGhee I feel sorry for the fella, these guys seem to have no shame or professional pride.
  4. sorry Jager, the quote thing didn't work quite as I'd anticipated
  5. Where is the rest going, is it paying our debts?
  6. Superb, but seriously you have too much time on your hands !
  7. 2 spells, no highlights I can think of
  8. went for mulgrew, had a hand in all the goals, however has started trying some ridiculous skills of late. Screw the nut son and keep finding the pokey
  9. A proper legend and I wish him all the best
  10. every day's a school day on here
  11. should have stayed at the front post and let the defender do his job, a fucking catastrophic error, the angle was too tight to pass him at the post. Made some good saves but made a right backside of a few crosses also today. Needs to tidy his game up. Agree that defence wasn't the shambles of last week, up the park though, utter bollocks. nae direction attacking and left trailing when celic pushed up the park. 3 of the back 4 I'd give pass marks, the rest could have been a lot better. Sure Aluko scored but has contributed far too little lately and we can't afford luxuries at Pittodrie when we're this poor. Nice to see a manager who seemed as annoyed as I was for a change though.
  12. spot on marky, the 1st sigma game exposed his lack of leadership and ability to muster a fight in the team. no fight puns intended
  13. Teacher = Holiday camp entertainer
  14. Aluko is our own faddy
  15. langfield + pressure = watching from behind the couch I know he's our keeper but I really hope they don't throw him in at the deep end.
  16. call me a cynic, but we're not exactly swimming in offers for any of our " big names ". Miller and Zander aside, I couldn't give a flying toss who left if we got cash to help the squad. No one else on decent money has been a stand out for us. If they were they'd have gone already or at least have generated interest in themselves. We've been mediocre with these guys Hart. Anderson, clark and all the nostalgic pish included, so if the gaffer wants to punt some and change our style what's the worst that can happen? more disappointment like the last 20 years or so. As I've stated before I was for Newell not McGhee but I think there is a clear need for a shake up at pittodrie and he can do whatever the hell he wants to if it helps break our mediocrity in the mid to long term. He knows he'll never win anything with the core of our team as it is so lets give the fella a bit of time.
  17. seriously this time, This town ain't big enough for the both of us by Sparks those ultra chappy's would lap it up, voice a bit high though
  18. Dire Straits, money for nothing
  19. I think this thread is a tad hasty, No one can defend the result and I was all for Mike Newell but to be fair I don't think McGhee's done a lot wrong. He put faith in Mackie and Miller up front, realised this was a bloody stupid idea and pulled Mackie, I'd imagine he'll struggle for the first 11 now. Lets face it JC would have pulled miller and put on someone randomly to confuse us. Aluko also strutted around as though he'd made it doing piss all to help the team, again spot on to change him. The real problem was lack of depth, shown by the bench. The back 4 whilst inept were probably the only volunteers from the squad. Consi had a bad game but he was trying to organise the other 3 as well. Kerr is never a skipper, not vocal enough and when he got the ball looked for the pass back instead of driving forward and spurring the team on. A tidy footballer but not an inspiration. In conclusion, we need our 2 CB's fit, a new full back or 2 ( ricky did well at LB IMO ) and a proper striker. Mulgrew should stay LB as his control was crap on thursday and showed he's not up to midfield. I suppose you could say McGhee should have sorted these positions already but he's tried to put faith in a team who can't be trusted on big nights and this really is his only but MASSIVE error. p.s Was I the only one that thinks Clangers really failed to marshall the defence and dropped us in it a couple of times by sticking to his line when it was obviously his ball. Made some good saves in game but really needs to tidy up the bread and butter stuff. Still a bombscare, was like tynecastle v's utd all over for 1st half
  20. there was free flowing attacking football, sadly it was from the other side usually
  21. when did our strikers last look comfortable though ??????
  22. was my shout for captain, well chuffed hope he keeps it
