  1. Agree with this. Was always going to happen though, I just hope that the board show a wee bit of backbone when an offer does come in.
  2. Just saw the goals on sky sports news - good hits for their goal and Maguire's second. Maguire also straight over to the Dons fans with a hand to each ear after both of his goals, make of that what you will. I make of it that he's a self-important wee shite, but hey ho. It's been a miserable couple of seasons, I just want to see some improvement next year. At the very least I'd like to see a team the fans can care about again, maybe even be proud of. Good luck Broony, you're going to fucking need it.
  3. This followed by 7 Ages of Rock made for a decent Friday night's teley
  4. Just watched Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle on iplayer. Had me cackling like a madman at points.

  6. I think Newcastle played quite well in the first half, but the forward players are shocking. Kuqi and Ranger up front at the moment says it all. Williamson had a shocker too. Hopefully (from a neutral point of view) Arsenal put up a bit of a fight against Man U today, but I think it'll be comfortable for United.
  7. He clearly neglected to mention that he would love it if we beat them, love it.
  8. Whyte found some letters from HMRC stuffed under the boardroom carpet?
  9. Things take a turn for the bizzare. Ambitious stuff, certainly to be filed in the 'believe it when I see it' pile. Personally, my support for the British League Cup is conditional on it being called the Empire Exhibition Trophy again
  10. Agree with this really, athough I do think that Milsom will stay on next season. Obviously I don't know his character, but I can't see a guy who's finally got a decent run of first-team football at the age of 24 pissing off straight away.
  11. Right, fuck it. It's a semi-final and, no doubt, by sunday morning I'll be as excited as a bairn. In/oot: In Pre match: Beer or two at home. Match: B2 Post match: Pub or home, depending on the result. Prediction: 3-2 Dons. Heard it here first.
  12. The Decemberists - Down By The Water
  13. I care in that I think it could be a disaster, exitement is maybe the wrong word. The finance isssue which the club seems to brush off like its not really there and transport to and from the stadium in particular still look like potential catastrophes to me. Of course I'm interested to see the finished product and hope that it proves to be a state-of-the-art venue with none of the drawbacks that some modern, soulless, identikit stadiums seem to have. How this could be quantified in a numerical fashion I'm not entirely sure
  14. Just got my tickets today. Apparently about 7k sold thus far.
  15. Brilliant, there goes any hope of a productive day.
  16. Absolutely, I'm gutted for him. Whenever he hits the top of the leaderboard on any major in the future (which he undoubtedly has the ability to do) I imagine this round will be haunting him.
  17. Yeah, he's double marked quite frequently. That he has the trickery to get out of such situations is a bonus for us.
  18. My first game for a while - first home game since East Fife - and, as ever, mixed feelings. Played some good stuff going forwards at times, Aluko especially in the first half was excellent and we could've easily got a handful of goals today with some marginally better finishing. The main cause for concern is at centre-half, where alarmingly vacuous gaps appeared now and again, firstly for their goal and then a couple of occasions thereafter. Massive amount of space between Considine and Vooj at times, something which will be punished next week. Other than that we played ok, although we lacked ideas in the second half and could have lost a goal by committing too many men forward towards the end. We've played far worse and won before, but still been beaten by a pretty poor Hibs side. Fuck knows what to think any more. MOTM for Aluko with good shifts from Jack, Smith and Robertson when he came on.
  19. Silver By Nature is owned by St Johnstone chairman Geoff Brown. And there endeth my knowledge of this year's Grand National.
  20. St Pauli v Schalke abandonned with 2 mins to go and Schalke 2-0 up after a full pint was chucked at the lino
  21. Interesting that since I posted that link, the title of the article has changed from something along the lines of 'Rangers announce increseased debt' to 'Rangers chairman admits club could go out of business'.
  22. It's Friday after all. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/12932160.stm
  23. I agree with this. We're light in the full-back areas and we have a decent SPL one under contract - who has probably improved sine he last played for us. If he's happy to play for us, then we should keep him.
  24. Is it a case of him not seeing it or rather protecting him? Every run of games he's had has ended with a month or two on the sidelines, might be for the best if we ease him back into the team.
