  1. Taking a slice off of the nose to spite the face there I think. If his form noticably deteriorates then drop him, otherwise play him when needed. On the contract situation, I agree with the consensus that leaving would proably not be a great footbaling decision for him. However if he feels he can get more money down south then fair enough. See ya.
  2. This is it for me, at the very least sneaking into the top six would provide reasonable grounds for optimism going into next season.
  3. Was just about to post the same thing, Mulgrew very lucky to stay on the park before. While it is galling to see the huns win anything, it'll be welcome should this bring around a Celtic implosion prior to the semi.
  4. Pleasing that Jelavic didn't get a penalty in the first half for such blatant cheating.
  5. I'll be there, but only because of locality. If I was in Aberdeen I doubt I'd bother and I'm sure many won't, which is a great shame for the team.
  6. Nah I meant since he left. Just a way of demonstrating the potential gap in quality.
  7. This is the way I see it too, a good scoring record in the second division is something the likes of Bryan Prunty can boast. That said, I don't know a huge amount about the guy and he took his second goal against St Johnstone very well.
  8. I like this. Also if we win it in my lifetime, they should be contractually obliged to lift it one-handed.
  9. In/oot: Out Pre Match: Flat Match: Pub Post Match: Flat Prediction: 2-0 them, our recent record there is honking
  10. Elbow in Glasgow a week on tuesday.
  11. It's a shame, because when he was a kid and started the first six or seven games a few seasons ago (05-06??) until he got sent off at Tannadice he looked an exceptional talent. Hopefully players coming through the youth system will learn from where he went wrong, could've been a great player for us.
  12. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-12631956 Lennon is completely reprehensible. Another embarassing yet, as ever, unsurprisig episode that Scotish football is all too happy to show the world.
  13. In/Oot: Oot Pre-Match: Home Match: Radio coverage Post-Match: Home Prediction: 2-0 the Dons
  14. I read this a few weeks back. Some really good stats in there and it's interesting to see the trends of transfer fees showing how exactly success is bought. I found it a little dry at times though and the section on individual clubs a bit repetative. Also, although transfer fees are clearly important, the effect of wages seems to be a bit overlooked, especially given that they have such a bearing on league position (90% I think claimed in 'Why England Lose').
  15. This is probably what makes him stick out more. At least monstrosities such as Dave Bus had their Dons career nipped in the bud, but Ifil was a regular until Broon came in. My overriding memory of him is when he tried to pick out Vernon at St Mirren Park with a sweeping cross field pass, but instead found the back of the stand immediately to his right from a completely unchallenged position. Mesmeric.
  16. Tricky game and, I think, a step too far for us at the moment. If we win I'll begin to consider us for the top six. In/Oot: Oot Pre-Match: Flat Match: Pub (with Jambo inclined friend ) Post-Match: Nae sure Prediction: 1-2
  17. I recommend their debut album. Which this isn't on.
  18. Hope he does well, I'd never doubt his commitment to us during his time here. Can't pass for shit mind.
  19. I wasn't there, but I'm glad we won 5-0. Positive.
  20. Happening occaisionally to me on Firefox 3.6.13
  21. Done it once, very messy. It didn't help that Chris Kamara featured prominently that weekend.
  22. Nae thread yet Bit of trouble with St Johnstone's pitch recently, but hopefully the game isn't in any danger of being off. They've been not too bad recently so it'll no doubt be a tricky game, but I reckon we'll just sneak it. In/oot: In Pre-match: Train, possibly a pint in the centre of Perth Match: Nae sure yet Post-match: Train home Prediction: 0-1 the Dons
