  1. I'm now imagining its written above the tunnel in a 'This is Anfield' style.
  2. I read that too, some interesting points regarding the board which seem to have been skimmed over elsewhere.
  3. Steve Clarke is certainly persuing a management job in his own right - I believed he recently turned down the Newcastle assistant role for this reason. Could he, as an unproven manager, attract a better club than Aberdeen? Do we want an unproven manager? Does anyone care anymore? Fits abdy havin for lunch?
  4. http://www.donstalk.co.uk/messageboard/index.php?topic=8706.0
  5. His position had become untennable and, as he points out himself, the fact he didn't do this earlier undermined the point in the referee strike. For this he can only blame himself. However, I have sympathy over the way the circumstances escalated from that incident to the point we are now at. Frankly, I would find it nigh-on impossible to work with some fucking neanderthal like Lennon continually being confrontational, aggressive and critically assessing a job which I imagine he has absolutely no understanding of.
  6. Setback for SFA contingency plan - Icelandic refs support the strike. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9216271.stm

    Andy Murray

Match against Federer just away to start, available on the BBC site.
  8. Fair enough. You could be on the fucking moon though and still work out that four points from 36 isn't acceptable. No amount of 'he played well though...' or 'we were unlucky but...' changes that.
  9. Striking. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9214212.stm Can't blame them to be honest.
  10. They were making a very big deal over Ray WIlkins' departure of 5live before the game. Not sure whether it should have had that big of an impact though.
  11. We're losing football matches that we shouldn't be losing. There is a matrix of massive, catastrophic problems at the club, but that does not excuse the results. There is no logical reason to believe things will improve under McGhee. Joke decision.
  12. Factor in the potential financial implications of relegation and it becomes hard to defend McGhee. Although I accept that any projections on attendences based on managerial change are purely speculative.
  13. Surely that should be multiplied by the number of games between now and when McGhee is removed?
  14. Because often, especially at a club like Aberdeen, the club is more desperate to appoint a manager than the manager is to join that particular club.
  15. Both must be at rock bottom confidence wise, so I think picking the better goalkeeper (IMO Langfield) is the only criteria worth considering.
  16. You didn't use an eye catching headline with unusual spellings though.
  17. Due to its lack of precedence in football I imagine that this is a non-starter. Could also put off any potential replacements.
  18. Perhaps one of the reasons the board are keen to stick with McGhee. Probably not as significant as the cost aspect though.
  19. I read in a recent interview that he was currently doing them. To be honest, as long as he is going through the process, I think he would probably get dispensation to manage us.
  20. Hopefully sounding out potential replacements.
