Solid first half in all departments I would say.

This. I'm really impressed with what Martindale has done at livi, they ain't hammer throwers anymore either. I would also say SeeBass if you apply the logic of "we shouldn't lose to livi in any circumstances" that that door swings both ways. In other words you might as well be saying we should give up on beating the Glasgow 2 ever again because they shouldn't be losing to us under circumstances. You will always get underdog stories in sports, you will always get teams underperforming too. It's a crucial part of keeping the game interesting at all levels. A wise person said to me a long time ago when it came to supporting a football team "don't get too high and don't get to low, there's always a next season if things are awful.". I would add to this that there will be times that you won't have a choice in the matter such will be the importance of the fixture. A perfect example is the Scotland v England game a few years back. When griffiths scored the second I just...... lost it. Completely lost it. I can't tell you much about the 30 seconds that followed other than it was an ecstacy I had never previously felt. Then, 2 minutes later, that was taken away from me and ive never felt so low. I had no choice in feeling like this but moments like this are rare. You can usually get over a disappointing result pretty quickly if you put your mind to it, it's only fucking football after all.

Aside from defending set pieces we have actually been playing quite well. Also, it turns out Richardson has a weapon cross on him.

You can say what you like about Martindale but his coaching credentials are defo on the up. Livi are not the hammer throwers they once were and, to my eye anyway, haven't been too bad to watch this season. My instinct is this will be a much stiffer test than Friday. They are canny and capable whilst our away record this season is questionable at best but I think if we can score twice we will probably win. And wee can score twice. 4-1 flattered us against Hibs but if there's one aspect of our team I think we are all happy about currently it's our attacking potential. I wasn't that surprised we scored 4 despite not dominating because even when we are looking a disjointed mess elsewhere you have confidence we can score when we go forward. I don't think it's unfair to say you could draw a fair few comparisons between afc and most Kevin keegan sides at the moment. 3-1 dons Miovski, Duk and Duncan.
-
I think it probably was a pen but it took a fair few rewatches to be anything remotely resembling sure. Lopes is on the stretch whilst trying to change forward direction and Marshalls knee clips his extended foot as he's sliding through. Marshall gets hee haw of the ball.... It's enough for me.... Well just about. It's far more a fucking pen than the one hibs got at Easter Road put it that way. Is anyone prepared to give Richardson a bit of credit for his driving at the defence and playing Duk through for the pen? On the subject of Var? To be honest I don't really care, it got us a pen that put us in the lead (eventually) in a game we had looked second best in for the majority of the first half. It's here to stay, for better or for worse, so we may as well just be happy it helped us win today. 3 points will always be king to my eye. Second goal was the crucial one for me. You just can't give Miovski that kind of space in the box. After that hibs proper crumbled and whatever else you want to say about us at the moment we are good for a goal when a chance presents itself. Delighted for Rama and Clarksons was cheeky as fuck.

Does anyone know if there's any truth to the 1 million to us when he plays in the CL clause rumours going about? Probably bollocks

HEED FIRST!

I honestly don't see the point of going defensive for this one. Quite simply it just doesn't play to our strengths. We have a potent attack and a questionable defence (though one that has started to look a bit more resilient as a 3 in the past few games). Our best chance of a win here is to take a "we are going to score more than you" approach rather than trying to keep it tight and nick one on the break. One thing I would note is that I don't this game won't be won or lost by the defence or the attack. Clarkson and Barrons performance will be the keystone of any positive result we get tomorrow.

Napoli rested a few and were already through but the huns will have put a lot into it regardless.
-
Oh very true, that could have been a pen. It doesn't change that it was his best performance in red for me though. Second half in particular I thought he was superb.
-
Stewart was excellent on Saturday i thought, particularly the last 10 minutes of the second half when we came under sustained pressure from Motherwell. The back 3 really suits him, he can just focus on defending and leave the passing out from the back to Mcrorie and scales.
-
Och I've been there when we've scored early and they shut the fuck up pretty quickly. Given recent form too they will be even quicker to get on their own players backs if it's not going well. Also the not having played their before could just as easily work as an advantage. They don't have the pre built in intimidation of mordor and the San giro natives have.
-
Well so what, right now they are playing shite and whatever else you want to say about Aberdeen at the moment we defo have goals in us. Gvb is absolutely under pressure btw, the support hasn't fully turned on him yet but they ain't far off it.
-
It's hard not to feel some optimism about this trip to mordor given respective form of both teams.... and that's before you consider the horsing they are likely about to take in Naples. Heed first should be the attitude and if we can get the first goal I would strongly fancy us for the 3 points. Line up is a fairly straightforward bar one, Mackenzie would be right to be miffed if he is dropped for Coulson, but that aside same again you would think. 3-1 dons Miovski, Duk 2

On yourself Fergie
-
What I don't understand is why he doesn't have a phone strapped to his wrist and if they think he should rewatch something he stops play and watches it there and then.
-
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63309192 Decent wee video on how they are going about it.
-
Var can't interfere with yellow cards unless they believe it should have been a red. I watched the game on redtv and just before it the put this on
-
What add on you using? I just searched bologna on mad titan sports and it came up no probs.
-
I'll be picking up coverage on kodi mate.

Can't see Goodwin straying from the back 3 without very good reason. We actually look reasonably solid again as a result of it. 4 games on the bounce without a goal for Miovski is it? I would agree, cr99 should be given a start otherwise what is the point in competition for places. He was impressive again when he came on, he did so well to get that volley on target from outside the box especially given his body position and hi as attitude to being dropped has been 1st class. One thing is for sure we are well due a result against this mob but it will be a very difficult game. 3-1 dons Lopes, cr99 and Miovski to give JG a massive headache for the next game.
-
Might stick that on actually

I think we all thought Miovski was probably going to be the best bit of business we had done in the summer but Lopes is defo giving me cause to reconsider that at the moment. I'm not saying that because BM is going through a dry patch either, Duk seems to have it all. Good on both feet, strong on the ball, very unpredictable, knows where the net is and a good burst of pace about him too. His attitude seems first class too, I was very impressed at how quickly he got in shape when he first arrived. He dropped half a stone easy in a fortnight. Suppose this is as good a time as any to give a first report card on the summer business. Coulson - big thumbs up Richardson - i don't think he's as bad as some make out but he's defo been shaky and pleased to see him taken out of the firing line. Another player I thought looked better with the back 3. Morris - did better against thistle but that wasn't difficult given how poor he's been and still not seeing why he's getting in ahead of Duncan. Besuijen - not technically a summer signing but worth including here I think. Defo had his moments and capable of something out of nothing but he needs to improve his consistency. Pass marks for sure though. Roos - seems solid enough, certainly not looking out of place Miovski - big thumbs up Clarkson - so far so good, not much yiu could fault about him all things considered. Stewart - good penalty box defender, only thing I've not liked about him is some of his distribution decision making. Scales - thumbs up, would be big if he wasn't on loan. Rama - big thumbs up, especially now he's playing as a 1 in front of defence. It really suits his game. Roberts - we likely won't be able to judge until after the WC
-
Actually Rico I thought this was Morris's first decent performance. For the first time he looked like he was playing for the team, his defensive discipline was excellent tonight and I felt contributed reasonably well. Also, he was unlucky when he was hauled back when about charge onto the ball on a promising counter that he had started. Not a chance in hell he should be starting ahead of Duncan though, what a prospect he is. Like, scary to think how good he could be prospect.

Goodwin confirms its a 3, Kennedy at rwb and vinnie in the middle.
