  1. First 3 and half 4 mins is about the game tonight then they talk about Aberdeen.
  2. Anything can happen in knock out football and we have a chance for sure. The tims have massively turned a corner since the draw was made though, to stand a chance I can't help but feel we would need them to go down to ten men fairly early on.
  3. Aye that caught my eye as well Rico. I think we can defo safely say we are not getting more of the same with this guy

  5. In fine with June the 1st, it's not like he won't have done his homework prior to stepping through the door and have a good idea of what he's working with. Don't be surprised if it is earlier though, sometimes squads don't react well to the knowledge the manager is moving on soon. It may be they decide to take their new management team in a bit earlier if so. I like the sound of this guy I have to say. My suspicion is that boring is paper talk for calm and calm is good. Derek Rae was saying nice things about him on twitter last week and I see that as a fairly solid endorsement. All in though, assuming it doesn't fall through of course, isn't it nice to have a wee bit of light appearing at the end of this fucking miserable tunnel?
  6. Fair
  7. When was the last time we didn't have a busy summer? Must have been under Mcinnes

    Serie A

I've been watching a lot of serie A the past few seasons. It's such a fun league
  9. I don't know who I ever really wanted to be honest mate. Agreed though, it's been a very grim few months
  10. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/aberdeen-fc-manager-latest-jimmy-32496164?fbclid=IwAR2MeY_tCpyZWm5mJQJurMQrUT93fLFPwxw6kBQGj2X_IHvo7E_FR50Hs7c Apologies for the source but Scott Burns is usually well informed. Sounds like Thelin is the man they want and aren't letting it go
  11. When the tourist was appointed I mind the sportsound team being fairly sure Leven has absolutely no interest in the position, didn't want the pressure. I can't see any set of results, even a Scottish cup win, getting him the job. I wouldn't be devastated if he was in till the end of the season but I would much better for that not to be the case.
  12. According to Scott burns the club were hoping/expecting it to be done over the weekend which I assume is why the story got leaked.
  13. Yeah, it isn't underwhelming exactly but we are unlikely to see a spike in season ticket sales either. If it is him I suspect the delay is the fixture this evening. Friendly or not I could see why you wouldn't want to leave NI in the lurch against Scotland, that it would be to leave yo a Scottish club side would be extra salt in the wound too. For that to be true though it presents a conundrum which makes me think none of this is the case. The club seemed genuinely confident they would get the appointment done at the weekend, O'Neill is unlikely to have given that impression given NI had a fixture. Making that announcement was pointless, they should have just kept the powder dry until the ink was on the paper. Now everyone is wondering what is going on even more and the club looks extra shambolic.... Which is actually quite impressive to manage given how shambolic we were looking prior.
  14. We know.
  15. If memory serves the consultants we brought was a German company? Wouldn't be totally shocking if we brought in someone with German football experience from that pov
  16. Currently unemployed 2bf
  17. Where are you hearing that al?
  18. Today or tomorrow but you would think today.
  19. Aye the record is running that too.
  20. He could take that Armstrong kid if he wanted. That's fair though. Personally I think both parties have moved on enough that a reconnection would likely produce something new but that's just my opinion. It could be distinctly average.... Though I doubt it would ever get worse than that.
  21. Disagree, Ramirez's wage alone proves we started spending bigger the moment Mcinnes left. That season we also payed fees for besuijen, Jet and bates as well I think? Brown would have been on a higher wage than anything Mcinnes could have offered either. I agree however Goodwin was given even more to play with but of the three Mcinnes clearly had the smallest pot and imo it's because Cormack wanted to move him on.
  22. One thing I do find interesting is Mcinnes, to the best of my knowledge anyway, has yet to be asked it about it by the media. And you would think they would have by now after the warnock debacle. I can't help but wonder if he has instructed journalists before any interview not to ask him about it. If that is the case (and of course that is nothing but speculation) then it would possibly suggest an interest in coming back. I'm normally never go back but I would be happy to make an exception in this case. With hindsight I feel he was a bit hard done by previously. It had absolutely gone very stale by the end of his tenure but I think a big reason for that now is that cormack kept the purse strings tight as he wanted to bring in his own man. I can't be the only person on here that has wondered what Mcinnes could have done with such an increased wage budget that every manager since has enjoyed. How would everyone feel if it was DM once again?
  23. Cowan is always saying on the radio Motherwell are the team you want to play when you're a desperate for a result.
  24. I would snap your hand off for Mcinnes back right now
  25. I heard Macintyre quiz him about it on the radio when he was first in charge of Ni and after he had turned down Scotland. He obviously denied it but fwiw I found him reasonably convincing at the time. I don't think you can get away with being an alcholic manager these days 2bh, there's too much scrutiny on you.
