  1. I'm not suggesting taking a foot off the pedal ST, just changing things up a wee bit. It's hardly unwarranted either as we have looked a bit less fluent recently and our results have shown that, only 4 points from the last 9. Add to that the goals that we got against Motherwell were a little fortunate. Not saying we didn't deserve to win the game but the points were very much gifted to us and I don't remember too many other gilt edged chances. This combined with the poor second half performances at Dens and the San Giro makes me think a few changes are warranted both in personnel and strategy. I would argue that the team needs to have a bit more practice at playing in a more attack minded way for the games to come where we need to throw caution to the wind to get a goal. Not going to win the league but 8 points clear of third with two games to come against them is a good position to be in and I think DM can afford to experiment a little more than he normally would. With Shankland scoring a brace internationally last night it's time to be giving him some starts I reckon.
  2. So the league is fucked. Such is life, it's not unexpected. Gutting because it was impossible not to dream a little bit but not unexpected. 9 games left and with ICT trailing by 8 points you have to think second is all but confirmed (yes I know we threw it away last year but I don't think we will now). I think this is a good opportunity to give Shankland a run in the team. Eg go 442, drop flood, play Maclean and Jack in the centre and give the kid a run up alongside Rooney for a few games. Low should be given an opportunity too, he looked pretty decent earlier in the season.
  3. Truth be told Reynolds is a player I've never been entirely convinced off. His pace gets him out of bother a lot of the time but without Anderson marshalling the back line he looks very average. Jack obviously fucked up but the shot was very saveable. We have finally sorted out lb, just a competent keeper in the summer would be a huge step forward and must be the priority. I knew in my bones when we drew 3-3 at home to Dundee that the writing was on the wall. We have since had our chances and fucked them. Still we have made huge progress this season, let's just hope that doesn't stall.
  4. I officially hate Dundee more than Utd now
  5. Shane long and Robbie Keane spring to mind
  6. Just read the match report, must have just missed the goal frustratingly. No 8 was masson
  7. He got subbed about ten minutes after I arrived, he hasn't seen much of the ball and looked a bit tired truth be told but a couple of nice touches. Shankland, low, Smith, whoever was number 8 and Clark Robertson looked good
  8. Beat county 1-0 at their place, driver scored. I managed to catch the last half hour but missed the goal.
  9. That's a big ten four Tom, been finding them increasingly meh the past few years now
  10. Bit short notice given some will have booked travel but this defo works better for me
  11. Personal circumstances? Have I missed something?
  12. Speaking to a jambo today, he's gutted hearts weren't in for him. He also said he had a knack of getting really important goals in big games. Could be a master stroke signing
  13. (tin hat on) I quite like McCall, he seems like a good bloke whenever I hear him speak. He did the decent thing at Motherwell by resigning and not looking for a payout and I'm not going to forget that just because he's now the hun manager. Sadly I think this is a good move for the 'orribles, I can see them promoted via the play-offs yet. That said getting past Hibs could prove harder than any of the bottom 3..... mind you with motherwell and county picking up a bit of form that could yet be Partick. It's going to be a really interesting end to the season, the play off's are a great addition it has to be said, and hopefully the gift could yet give again.
  14. ping Our number 2 (joe sho?) reacts like it's a goal against us though.....
  15. I really love how the club is being run these days. Welcome to AFC An :thumbsup:dy
  16. Quite the fixture pile up now with having to play a replay
  17. Sadly, it is my belief anyway, I think todays event's represent a huge upturn in hun fortune. They have a long way to come yet but I reckon the gift that keeps on giving has left the building...... so long and thanks for the memories.
  18. Fucks sake. Just. Fucks sake! You spend a few days, lick your wounds........ accept that it's probably over......... begin moving on. Then this happens and all of a sudden a glimmer of hope appears. You know it's probably still fucked but this latest development is making me feel like a hitcher when someone pulls over then just as you get up to the car they pull forward a wee bit then stop again. The Saintee's have giving us a fighting chance again.
  19. Blame Logan for the first, poor passback to the wrong foot that led you the corner. Should have been a pen at 1-0 and theirs was a soft decision. Gutted
  20. Day of days donstalkers, stand free and see you on the other side!
  21. Sure does
  22. He's been out in the states but is without a club now. Could be a great move for both parties, he's 27 too which isn't a bad age to get a player at. I thought he looked excellent at hearts also, yes please
  23. Don't rate English tyrant? I really like him personally, he doesn't seem to be scared to criticise the old firm for a start and I like his writing style
  24. I reckon so but with Taylor on the bench. I really hope Robson doesn't see anything of this game
