  1. I'm well aware of this but you've missed my point. The above is about Westminister covering up Westminster, why would they cover up for the SNP/Scottish Government? Especially in today's political climate. Which previous court case are you referring to? Jesus wept.
  2. I can't imagine Westminister hiding it, it would have been whipped out (no puns) during IndyRef surely, as it is a huge smear. Perhaps the Scottish Government supressed it. Certainly Sturgeon appears to know a bit about it, and she's getting some criticism which I think is unfair (until we know all the facts). There is always the consideration that it has simply taken this long to get a case together that the PF agreed can go to court. Timeline and number of accusers will be interesting. I'm in the "I wouldn't put it past him" camp. He's always been a smug git, even yesterday, and a bit odious for me.
  3. It's a fair charge sheet, and very serious. Lots of conspiracy theories from some happy clappers.
  4. What an incredible turn around he's had. Good on him. We're on a good run, with a huge match this weekend.

  6. To be fair you’re probably right. Remain certainly didn’t take it seriously. I saw a poll today where 25% of those surveyed thought “no deal” meant remaining in the EU
  7. The question should never have been put to the public. By and large the public are thick, gullible and not capable of researching to make up their own minds. Many of them just believed what the Daily Mail/Gove/Johnson/Farage etc said.... even today Johnston is claiming he didn't use Turkey as a fear factor during the referendum, it's just lies plain and simple. The Leave campaign was Project Fear led by some utterly horrible cunts.
  8. New Steve Mason album is a delight.

    Andy Murray

I think he genuinely would want to play one last match/humping at Wimbledon (mainly for the fans) if he thought the op was going to prevent him from ever playing again. But reading between all the lines over the last couple of days, I think he'll have the op very soon.
  10. Quite the shambles most of us expected 2 years ago. Article 50 needs to be stopped/postponed ASAP. It’s a shame the government will win the confidence vote.

Highly emotional stuff at the end of the match. What an incredible sportsman, fighting right to the end. He seems to have suggested he might go for the big op as he said he'd do everything he can to return to the Aus Open. Really hope he's playing at Wimbledon.

Indeed. I was so glad I went to the Andy Murray Live event which Federer took part in, it was a great evening. Perhaps that sort of thing may continue, I don't know. The greatest British sportsman ever.

Gutted but he's having to retire Obviously pushed his body to the limits by getting to the top of the game. A proper Scottish & British sporting legend.
  14. Hopefully he doesn’t jump into the Hudson River.
  15. Cracking two part Storyville documentary on BBC4 about Waco. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0001v8s/storyville-waco-madman-or-messiah-part-1 https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0001vzj/storyville-waco-madman-or-messiah-part-2
  16. Perhaps you should have said that in the OP rather than trying to dig yourself out of yet another hole.
  17. Bang on the money as usual. Fuck it, lets win the league! It's wide open with lots of teams capable of taking points off one another.
  18. One of the reasons it'll be a tough game is because the weather is abysmal today.
  19. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/dec/12/eleven-sports-may-be-facing-closure-in-uk-after-only-four-months Shambles. There's no room for all these different sports broadcasters. Hopefully La Liga gets snapped up by BT if they get the chance.
  20. Now vice chairman: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46541484 Good move.
  21. Hardly a convincing victory for May but a good night for remainers.
  22. And yet the SNP, unless they change, want to leave the UK but stay/join the EU. Brexit has weakened the case for Indy, only because this whole shambles will put some folk off voting for Indy. Even though Indy couldn’t and shouldn’t be as complicated as trying to exit the EU.
  23. Popcorn at the ready tonight then. Perish the thought of some right wing loony taking over who just wants us to crash out of Europe with no deal. If May does go I hope it’s not a hardliner that gets the nod. If she survives then that’s no deal / hard Brexit off the table. Still think no Brexit / second referendum is the most likely outcome of this clusterfuck.
  24. Never in doubt.
  25. Lewis Hamilton is very good but F1 is a sham these days. Winning titles doesn’t make you the greatest, especially when there is a huge reliance on the car. My old man has lived through all the champs post-Fangio (he’s not THAT old) and he says Jim Clark was the best. And that’ll do for me wrt F1.
