  1. Mind hearing this back in the day In October 1908, Charles O'Hagan began contributing a series to Bon-Accord entitled "My Football Reminiscences" entirely penned by himself. The series ran over 12 weekly issues. Bon-Accord were rightly proud of the series and at one point printed this promotional "story": Got What He Wanted Charlie one evening was making his way up to "Bon-Accord" office. At Windmill Brae a man suddenly sprang on our friend. 'Your money or your life! said he hoarsely. Was Charlie dismayed? No, not he. He just took a copy of a paper from his pocket and handed it to the robber, saying simply, 'This is an advance copy of "Bon-Accord." You'll find my life in it.' Bon-Accord, 29th October 1908
  2. Mmmm Might want to reverse CBB to get the answer there Jute
  3. That's really good Stewart
  4. Motherwell appoint a Hun as new boss: Motherwell have appointed former Austria Vienna boss Michael Wimmer as their new manager. German Wimmer left the Generali Arena last year and was previously assistant at Stuttgart and Augsburg. The 44-year-old replaces Stuart Kettlewell, who left Fir Park citing the personal abuse he had received during a recent downturn in results. Bristol City had been linked with Wimmer in December but the League One club were reportedly unable to secure a work permit. A player with Lohhof, Dingolfing and Ismaning, he moved into coaching with Nuremberg in 2010, joining Augsburg eight years later. Wimmer had a brief spell in interim charge of Stuttgart in 2022, winning four of his eight games, and won 27 of his 61 matches with Austria Vienna, who finished eighth in the Austrian Bundesliga shortly after his sacking. The Steelmen sit eighth in the Scottish Premiership following Saturday's 3-0 home defeat by Ross County, having been fifth when Kettlewell departed. Assistant Stephen Frail had overseen the home losses to Celtic and County.
  5. I've been thinking about Mulligan as well, would be surprised if as a club we weren't giving him a thought or two. As an aside, although I was depending upon TV coverage to watch, I tried to keep an eye on Cameron to see exactly what we would be missing out on Whilst I should allow for the circumstances and that he might not be putting 100% effort into it, I didn't think he was anything special. Wouldn't be surprised for him to become Barron mark two for the Huns.
  6. Yeeeessss At last A win
  7. Morris fuck sake Check which end we're attacking
  8. Fuck sakes 1-2
  9. What a fucking strike Topi. 0-2
  10. Sokler, Polvara & Milne all back on the grass in training but obviously this game comes too soon for them. Hopefully our luck is turning back in our favour and we can kick on again Replicate our victory at Dens from earlier in the season and we could end the weekend back in third place again
  11. Tend to agree with that, with the obvious exception of the brain fart when he charged unnecessarily out of his box at St Mirren's first goal
  12. Remember the days when a Scottish team drawing a League of Ireland team in Europe for a Scottish team was like getting a bye in Europe. Well have times changed, watching Molde v Shamrock Rovers on Conference League playoff and the Irish team winning away from home after 75 minutes. Where are the Scottish qualifier teams like Hearts, Kilmarnock and St Mirren ? Has the balance swung in LOI favour ? Hearing that Shamrock Rovers have made £6.8m so far from European campaign. Can we expect further poaching of players from Scotland to LOI teams if this continues ? Thoughts, am I spiking shite ?
  13. Can't help but think there was a degree of inevitability about this after the recent St Mirren game. I liked Rubi, thought he was a real character and really wanted things to work out for him with us. I suspect he will be away permanently come the summer transfer window. Good luck lad
  14. 1-2 now
  15. Howkers getting turned o'er by Bayern Huge gulf in class.
  16. Broon noser
  17. Some finish and taking nothing away from it but WTF were the opposition doing leaving a player in so much space.
  18. Angus MacDonald (remember him) misses one of Exeter's penalties in their shoot out loss to Notts Forrest.
  19. Played o'er a hundred games for us back in the day
  20. Josh Magennis on the score sheet for Exeter V Notts Forrest in FA Cup. He must be a fair age now surely.
  21. Nope, just make sure the deposit is fully refundable
  22. Agreed with the above, but let's take nothing for granted, it took us into injury time to get the win against them. Hopefully by the time this comes around we might have had a couple of morale boosting league victories
  23. Given The Diets haven't beaten us this season and we haven't beaten St Mirren then probably as well for us The Diets win the shoot out
  24. Penalties it is then
