Have to admit how pleased I am to see both Real Madrid and PSG dumped out of europe. PSG in particular given some of the shite being spouted after they won 2-0 at Old Trafford.
Not quite sure how it can be classed as exploiting things. Your teams player stood in the goalmouth completely behind the goalline potentially ends up blocking a shot by their teammate and is now not in a position to have a shot/ header themselves.
If they foul or obstruct the goalie its still a foul however by standing 'off the field' they themselves could be blocked in taking them away from the attack and any effort to free themselves from their goalmouth prison would probably result in a freekick to the opposition.
Bolton's tactic under allardyce of having a player stood in an offside position as a distraction before a set piece relied on that player being able to run back onside or get out of the way.
But its only a theory. i don't know the laws of the game (especially this season)
I believe by standing in the goal (completely behind the goal-line) he would have been classed as 'off the field' and therefore not involved in play. Essentially the same as if he was stood behind the by-line by the advertising boards.
Had one of his feet been over the goal-line on the pitch he would have been offside
Thouroughly enjoyed 'Fighting with my family'
Stephen Merchant did a good job promoting it on 'the last leg' last friday as I believe it is No.1 at the UK Box office
Greg Halford in to replace him?
Appears he hasn't played since last season

Caledonian Stadium, Inverness
Wonder if they are trying to 'help' a Scottish team' to win it, especially given there are no trains between Inverness and Perth that weekend
So hollywood has decided its time to remake 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' with Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson taking the Michael Caine & Steve Martin Roles

Connah's Quay Nomads just got through to the Irn Bru Cup Final with Ross County.
I wonder where the final of this 'frankenstein's creature' of a tournament will be held (Palmerston?)
Not one of the quater finals has a 3pm Saturday kick off
Sat 2nd March - 17:15 Hibs Vs Tic
Sun 3rd March - 13:30 Dons vs Sevco
Sun 3rd March - 15:30 Arabs Vs (Caley or County)
Mon 4th March - 19:05 Thistle vs Jambos
Saw that story and personally object to the 'cheating the taxman' angle. Finally marrying your partner of 40years 2 days before you peg it so she actually inherits your estate rather than losing 40% to the Government is not 'cheating the taxman'
'The Second Coming' by John Niven
May actually have gotten me back into reading much like Brookmyres ' A Big Boy did it and ran away' did about 15 years ago.
Possibly cosidered cheating but also been using 'Audible' whilst working and currently on the 3rd 'Mortal Engines' book. Didn't see the film but feeling a bit annoyed that it looks like Peter Jackson & co have blown the chance to make it into a movie franchise.
Chris Mooney's Darby McCormick series is also pretty good. Very Gruesome imagination for his serial Killers and to date the only time I can recall a Camel Spider being used as a torture method
