  1. Lot of aftersun needed tonight
  2. Not unless there was a mad rush on friday. About 900 tickets were left when I checked on Thursday. Reckon had there been more positive performances/ results against tic and jambos they would have all been snapped up Be nice if a player wearing a dons shirt actually scored (at the right end)
  3. For anyone going tomorrow (or if you know someone going), if you want to buy any food at the ground make sure you take cash. Back on Hogmanay vs Partick the only 'refreshments' on offer was an independant burger van parked behind the wee dublin end and they didnt take card payments. It might be different tomorrow but better to be prepared
  4. Stadium, 180 bed hotel, conference centre, health spa and retail (lot of non football things to go wrong there). 4.5miles away from oxford centre in neigbouring town of Kidlington but doea have the bonus of a railway station This is similar to Bolton shifting to the Reebok except unlike Oxford they werent getting evicted from their old ground and had parachute payments from the premier league to help finance it Great they got planning approval but that just means the council will let them build it. Actually getting the builders on site on the other hand.....
  5. I think Lincoln Red Imps just guaranteed themselves a place in the Conference League group stage
  6. Hibs Goalie History (starting just after I turned up) Alan Rough 1982-1988 Andy Goram 1987-1991 John Burridge 1991-1993 Jim Leighton 1993-1997 Ever since then......
  7. Price of materials and labour etc has gone through the roof in last 5 years (something happened about the start of February 2020 but no one seems to know. Lots of politicians and journalist wont even talk about it so it must be really bad) A £10million development in 2017 could be closer to £25million now. There are certain brands ill try to avoid specifying as their price per m2 went from £12 to £45 and sometimes you can no longer get it shipped to the UK. My gut is starting to say if anything happens stadium wise it will be pittodrie redevelopment likely after (or 'if) 'safe standing' becomes widely accepted in Scotland (not just small sections). New Main, Merkland and South stand with the latter two having only rail seating. Capacity for European games cut to circa 13000 but for domestic games 20000 assuming the 1 rail seat = 2.5 standing ratio is correct. Funding for this will come from selling the land earmarked for the new stadium as housing.
  8. Got an email from the club today 'We have around 600 supporters in this area which will be at capacity. Due to the way the tickets were issued to us this area will be unallocated seating. We kindly ask that the front couple of rows are used for ambulant disabled supporters to minimise the number of steps they are required to take. As this area will be at capacity, please ensure you fill rows completely, not leaving single seats, to ensure all supporters and families can be seated together. Stewards will be on hand to assist on the day' My ticket arrives today and I've been allocated a seat. Can see this turning into a traditional scotrail train journey
  9. memo being drafted to SPL referees to warm up the red and yellow cards as the new dons player is prone to 'fouls' and 'bullying defenders and goalies'
  10. The people of Elgin and the bustling metropolis of Brechin would agree. Just to clarify, Inverness also has a cathedral
  11. Commentators said the chance was gone but he was never gonna give it up
  12. Im not sure who the author is but surely a BBC Highlands & Islands Reporter should know Inverness is a City? It bugs me eiither no one proof read this or worse they did. Meanwhile down south clubs like Hamilton, Edinburgh City, Clyde etc are positively thriving in their urban environments
  13. Yes I shall be attending. Decided against standing in the open as that 'terrace' seemed pretty precarious when it was empty let alone with 1000+ on it. With a proper terrace or standing in a plastic seat area there is less chance of a 'David Busst' should you fall forward in a goal celebration
  14. https://www.afc.co.uk/2025/08/04/greenock-morton-a-ticket-information/ Just under 3200 allocation
  15. Martin's Magic Middens showing Motherwell are better or equal to some greek mob
  16. If we are asking BBC questions why do they insist on putting Champs league/ europa league games second in the Scottish football fixtures list when no scottish teams are playing. Is this some UEFA bullshit along the same lines as banning domestic league games kicking off at the same time as champions league matches even in the scottish 3rd division? Or is there a massive clamour in Scotland to see how Cliftonville and Athlone town are getting on?
  17. So it would appear these are the potential teams the dons could face come Monday afternoon - Shaktar Donesk(UKR) or Panathanikos(GRE) - PAOK Salonika(GRE) or Wolfsberg (AUS) - Maccabi Tel Aviv (ISL) or Hamrun Spartans (MLT) (how the fuck is a maltese team potentially seeded?) - Young Boys (SUI) - AEK Lanrarca (CYP) or Legia Warsaw (POL) - FC Utrecht (NLD) or Servette (SUI) - FCSB (ROM) or Drita (KOS) - Midtjylland (DEN) or Fredrikstad(NOR) - CFR Cluj (ROM) or Braga (POR) - Ludogorets Razgrad (BUL) or Ferencváros (HUN) - Malmo (SWE) or FC Copenhagen (DEN) - Lech Poznan (POL) or Red Star Belgrade (SRB)
  18. At cappielow Last actual game against Morton was league cup semi at Hampden in october 2016
  19. Tom Lehrer - 97 A personal favourite song of his https://youtu.be/47bKTtIwrO4?si=-lKRlAPcOER1GvTy
  20. Anyone going should be aware Morton have a pack of teenage 'ultras' who decided to play at being casuals at the train station with Partick fans at new year. They were held back by 3 coppers who essentially told them to stop being wee fannies but it might encourage some of the muppets in the dons support who don't play at being casuals. If I do manage to get a ticket I may drive or if using the train, avoid Cartsdyke station and walk back to Greenock's main one
  21. Has that actually been confirmed? BBC and SPFL websites dont have confirmed KO times or dates yet
  22. Really hoping for a 3pm saturday KO although it might rule the likes if me out of getting a ticket. Be great to see a full house at Cappielow with the open 'terrace' mobbed with dandies.
  23. Similar thing happened with Bristol Bears Women's Rugby team when they signed an american sevens player who has almost 4 million tiktok followers. Ive no idea if she is any good but Bristol ended up shifting some home games to Ashton Gate due to ticket demand. Given the shit Wrexham got themselves into in the last 20 years i say good on them. Far cry from the season I went to see them play a few home games where they had Darren Ferguson in the team. Think I even got to see David Rowson play against them for Stoke
  24. They are from the same land where 'Owen' Jess scored a vital goal for Coventry
  25. Dundee were already out before the Airdrie game kicked off (could only finish 2nd with 6 points which isnt enough for one of the 3 'best runner up' spots). Im assuming the BBC didnt think it was fair to piss on Dundee's destruction of the mighty Rose
