  1. The referee is ultimately responsible for all decisions during a game. I also disagree McCurry couldn't spot the offside as there was clearly only one man within the 6 yard box for AFC when there needed to be two - it's not difficult to spot. Both linesman and Ref to blame. SFA compounding error by not reversing red card.
  2. Good - we need a keeper who's better than langfield - sign him up JC
  3. I just simply cannot believe the amount of Sh*te we had to put with after the Rangers games. The media went mental, those (unts on Setanta saying things like "Rangers were robbed", "clearly a mistake", etc etc. When it was the CORRECT decision (from even UEFA's point of view regarding offsides) Then this abortive decision, that even a 2 year old can see is offside, and we get maybe 2 lines at the end of match reports. I think this is much worse, as it proves Referees don't know the most basic of the laws of the game, and are unable to handle the pressure of officiating. Yet the SFA stands behind them, and compounds the error by not allowing Mulgrew an appeal. It's thinking like that which proves the SFA is unfit for purpose.
  4. Very wishful thinking if you think Caroline is gonna bend over anywhere near you ajja
  5. The onus is on a defender to be in a position to make a tackle. That said, our penalty was highly debatable. There is no contest on the penalty against us - the ball wasn't even in play at that moment.
  6. Maybe so, but that's a completely pointless argument. JC DID achieve all that - it is hypothetical if anyone else could. It's like arguing that you forgot to play the lottery one week and your numbers came up. Pointless. JC ain't going nowhere soon - can we all move along and live with it.
  7. The fact that he was cheating on his wife? his general character? What sort of person he is? Nah, you are right, doesn't matter at all that he's a (unt
  8. What should happen :- Red Card forgotten about. McCurry fined his match fee for being an incapable bigot, and removed from SPL till Xmas Linesman fined his match fee, removed from SPL for season. AFC start litigation against McCurry for financial compensation. What will happen :- red card will stand, and willie miller will go on record to say we are lucky it wasn't increased. T-shirts with "SFA refs, shite" for the scotland game? I cannot believe that McCurry is a fooking minister?!? and he was shagging someone half his age - dirty bas*ard. He needs kicked out of refereeing.
  9. It's a penalty and a red card, or it's play on - how the fu(k the ref gives a pen and no card at all is beyond me - and what's more beyond the rules. If he thinks it's an accidental collision, it's not a pen - just play on, if he thinks it's a foul, then it's a goal scoring chance (1-1 with a keeper is a clear goalscoring chance) so it's red and off. That combined with the complete joke of a decision in the second half - I cannot believe there has not been more made of how poor a decision it is - Mike McCurry and that linesman should be banned from SPL games for a long while after their performance on Sat. They get paid to do that job - and were almost on strike cos they don't get enough !??!!??!?!??!? I cannot believe what a joke the SPL has become.
  10. When you think of the hu-hah that surrounded the CORRECT decision against Rangers in the media - "Rangers robbed", etc - when in fact Boyd was offside and correctly flagged as such - then we get that abortion of a referee decision yesterday - is the media going mental - is it fu(k. Mike McCurry, I wish your mother had aborted you.
  11. -1 Knee jerk reaction to a poor start. If it starts to look like we are adrift at the bottom maybe. Also, If JC goes I have no doubt he'll get another gig quite quickly, and I also think JN will go with him. I still think we'd get lumped with Sandy Clarke, even in a stand-in capacity.
  12. Just in to the dons talk fax machine
  13. Platini's cap of 3 teams from the "big" leagues will mean Europa will get some better quality sides too.
  14. Years ago maybe, now - no. I'm sure I heard a rumour that dick turned down a substantial amount from Shell back in the day.
  15. Aye, but it's hard to play Dnipro when you dni-qualify.
  16. where's my nearest brick wall
  17. you do realise it's a team sport don't you?
  18. I don't think we are going to agree here - or even get in the same ball park. Calderwood has also only been here since 2004, which is 4 seasons, plus this current one. You can hardly lay all the blame for not reaching cup finals at JC's feet. Regardless of how inept our semis were last season, that was an achievement to play in 2 semis. Again, I don;t agree, JC might find players, but WM and SM sort out the financials We all know football doesn't work like that. We beat X and X beat Rangers, so we are better than Rangers. Just No. 2 semis last year is not appalling - despite how we played in the semis - reaching 2 semis is nowhere near appaling. Again, there is only so much JC can do. He can pick a team and tell them how to play. STOP RIGHT THERE...The celtic game at the weekend - clearly our best performance of the season so far - so yes the players can be motivated and produce results - and Jimmy is right - they should do that every week. You can blame him if you want - but who are the players on the park not doing it - yes those very same players who did it against Celtic last weekend. As i've said, we are no where near agreeing on anything here, and i've got much better things to do. Agree to differ.
  19. Where am I saying anything about it being acceptable to get beated by QOS ot United? You were arguing (incorrectly) that getting to a cup final is based on probability and random chance - it isn't and that's a plain fact. And it's Jimmy's decision to pay that wage? No it's Miller and Wiggys Must be confusing me with some of your mates. I rarely buy paper based news products anymore - I have a tv and the internet. (and live in NI, so doubt i'd get the retard anywhere here apart from Larne) 1 is perhaps a realistic challenge, 2 also. 3,4 and 5 depend on big game players turning up for cup ties - we don't have the quality. We might be able to scrape consistency in the SPL, but getting a result in a cup game is very different, especially in the latter stages. We beat Celtic at parkhead last season, by hook or crook, but then the big names fell flat on the arse in the semi. Sustainable club and achievements on the park are mutually exclusive - especially when there will always be someone coming along pumping money into some club somewhere. All managers buy well and poorly - it's not just JC - even Ferguson at Utd has bought some s*ite. As for the argument that a manager cannot motivate a team - it's just pathetic. These players are on astronomical wages, which they will pick up even if we are relegated. They shouldn't need motivated - they are being rewarded for their services - and if they can't be professional and give their best then why do we employ them? It was several players who should have been sacked after QoS debacle, not Jimmy.

  21. Barely sevices the debt and opening the stadium Really? Seriously, you believe that? Hibs just bought back Riordan, bought bamba and a few others, Untied spent in the summer, Caley spent money, Well bought too - so I don't think we are the "streets" ahead some seem to think we are. Sadly probability doesn't work like that. You are trying to say everything is 50/50 - it either happens or it doesn't. If we were drawing straws to get to a final - yes we may have been in one sooner - but it doesn't work like that in the real world - we actually have to play football to qualify for the final. And the last season we got into two cup finals, where did we finish in the league? It's the old expectation thing again - you seem to expect that AFC - if funded and managed properly will set the heather alight and be challenging for the league and 2 cups, with a decent european run. Without serious money from Wiggy to improve the squad and the product on show it isn't going to happen. Even with a bit of investment from him used correctly is unlikely to yield the results you want. As has been said on here before, JC has bought the best he can for peanuts and a can of sh*t - if Wiggy would give him a decent sum - we could improve - rather than trying to stay mediocre with less and less resources.
  22. Russell "I want to finish my career at Aberdeen" Anderson, and giving his sign-on fee back to AFC. Actions of a man desperate to leave AFC the season he could lead the club in Europe.
  23. Yeah, this whole Split nonsense needs sorted - but that's another debate
