  1. Could you educate me as to who sold Russell Anderson, Michael Hart, Chris Clarke? I thought Milne owned the club?
  2. I keep reading this p*sh about more resources than most - can we have some actual proof? I know we sold some players, and Wright aside, where has it all gone? Is that the resource you are all bleating about. And let's get one HUGE misconception out of the way. You don't get to Cup Finals based on Reputation and Expectation, I.E. We don't get to cup finals in 8 years BECAUSE we are AFC (That's just bollo(ks) - you get to a cup final based on performance. We are sadly lacking in the performance part - and have been for years, it isn't going to change without some investment from No. One Fan Stewart Milne. You even have the proof - two very win-able semis last year - performance lacking cos we have pish players and let all our good players bugger off too easily.
  3. squad = pish, resources = d*ck all. 2 or 3 cup finals = having a laugh.
  4. I'm sure Billy Davies, once he didn't get the Scotland job, thought, mmmm, i'll wait around for the Aberdeen job..... If Billy Davies ends up managing Aberdeen this season, i'll eat my own c0(k
  5. Pointless question. "We" - the fans, have no say at AFC. How long will AFC give Jimmy - they aren't sacking him this side of Xmas, and will only consider it if we don't make top 6.
  6. and going into the split last year, no-one would have given us a hope in hell of finishing 3rd, yet Zander's goal at parkhead would have given us 3rd. Dons fans seem to have 2 memories, "The glory days" and "The whoever isn't giving us more glory days". JC brought us europe for the first time in ages - it was miller and wiggy who broke up that squad - not jimmy. I wish the majority of fans would wake up to the real issue of AFC and why we'll never challenge for anything on a regular basis - Stewart Milne!
  7. Which would actually be illegal - but don't let facts stand in the way of a good argument.
  8. Aberdeen don't even own Pittodrie, so buying the club doesn't get you the land. Pittodrie is owned by a AAM - with minor shares to shareholders and Milne.
  9. You must be the MOST positive thinking Dons fan on the internet.
  10. If Milne were to "bail us out" - as it were and still hold it as a debt, that boy is a bigger tw*t than I give him credit. He claims to be a fan, but that would be concrete proof that he isn't. No fan would do that to their own club. If this has even been suggested by Milne, the boy should be forced out. Newcastle fans were trying to buy their club, I reckon it would take a damn site less for AFC fans to buy the club.
  11. I don't think we stand a chance if we can't score goals - with one up front, we might as well not turn up for the fixture. Isn't the penalty for not playing just a 3-0 loss? maybe worth considering then....
  12. Jimmy has already shown he is a good manager and he has a great coaching team behind him. Pity the chairman has no backing for him then, think what he could do if he could spend some money...
  13. That tells us nothing. Celtic and Rangers could have millions to spend, Hearts, a few thousand, and we could have 50p, with the rest having 1p.
  14. If the club is depending on attendances for income, then we truly are shafted.
  15. And we all thought it couldn't get worse than soapy! ffs
  16. Whilst we officially show a debt, Milne has agreed to cover it should the bank ever withdraw it's support - so are we really in debt?
  17. I agree, but sadly wiggy will only see this :- Sacking jimmy costs money, and then I need to spend more to bring someone in, unless they are already on staff. And before you know it Sandy Clarke is in front of the press
  18. That's how we ended up with Aitken and Heggarty though.
  19. Wasn't at the game and haven't seen it so can only go on what the radio said.
  20. Given that footballing contracts are not worth the paper they are written on I wouldn't take such a clause too seriously. It is also questionable as he is employed to manage a football team - negligence or incompetence - such as player goalkeepers up front - simply cannot be waived like that.
  21. 1. Can't sack Jimmy as we can't afford it 2. No-one of the fav's mentioned would want the job - think about it - Willie & Wiggy "Eric, come manage Aberdeen" Eric - "Will I get some cash for new players?" Wiggy and Milne - "Er, we have to pay the 2 Jimmy's off, so you could sell to buy" (sound of phone hanging up) 3. We all know if we sack Jimmy we have to go cheap for a replacement - so it would be Nicholl if he didn't walk or worse Sandy Clarke - They are the only two financially viable options if we sack JC. As an outside gamble we might end up with Leighton. As has been said, JC has been fairly successful as a manager at Aberdeen, just hasn't got the boards backing and has signed second rate players who are now not performing.
  22. Well, even the commentator on bbc scotland pretty much said he was the biggest embarrassment of a so-called professional player he had ever seen. "A 6ft 7 goalkeeper who can't catch" was another choice quote, which in my book is up there with a chocolate tea-pot. And Glasgow Sheep, if you think it is nonsense, please list your queue of potential managers who are clambering for JC's job.
