Daily Record making a poll regarding Michael O'Halloran? For what it's worth, and I stated it last week, I would take him, I think most of us would pre-hun move, and he's certainly a ball carrier, definitely has good pace and can score, for whatever reason it's not worked at Mordor, probably due to mismanagement, who knows. Don't think it will happen, but wouldn't be against it if it did. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/would-rangers-winger-michael-ohalloran-10769209#ICID=nsm

Aye, it's a closed door friendly, but it's tomorrow.
-
But i'll send him to Hamilton for a season long loan to get his match fitness up to speed.
-
Did Arnason not stroll it in the Euros last year? Fairly sure he started every game and generally looked comfortable. He will be a solid addition for the CB role and if need be, can fill in at CDM. I hope it happens.

Hayes was really at his best driving at people, knocking the ball passed them and putting in a cross etc... He was also very useful at helping the full backs out with defending. Stewart is a completely different player, he's far better with the ball at his feet and beating a man skillfully, he doesn't have anywhere near the same pace but is probably a better finisher and can still put in a cross, we were never going to find an exact replacement for Hayes, but Stewart certainly ticks boxes and within our budget, I am very pleased at his addition. Still miss Jonny though and he's only been gone a week, plus we haven't even kicked a ball without him this season, won't properly sink in until we start playing. Fucking wee tim bastard :'(

The club have confirmed that Greg Stewart has passed a medical, would imagine he'll be announced within the next few hours now. Welcome aboard Greg.

As well as being a complete wank, Halliday is also a below average player in my opinion, and would not get near our 11. O'Halloran was a good player for St Johnstone, and most on here would have taken him pre Huns, so he'd be a yes from me, but I reckon he'll go back to Perth. Definitely has ability, just seems more inconsistent than other wide players, perhaps McInnes and Docherty can get more from him. Thon Ayedemi player that was doing the rounds last week apparently wants to stay in the Championship, was probably just bollocks as I have seen nothing other than tweets about it. I refuse to post any more social media pish from now on.

Another name doing the rounds on Twitter ( I know, I know ) that we are apparently close to signing, is Tom Adeyemi, a midfielder released from Cardiff, Spent the season on loan at Rotherham, I would imagine if there's any truth in it, that he's in to beef up the midfield, will wait and see I suppose.

Must confess DD, I am very much despondent myself. We have basically lost all of our creativity in losing McGinn for fuck all and Hayes to they bastards. Christie is a good player, i'd have been more pleased at a permanent transfer although that still wouldn't have softened this blow of Hayes & McGinn. I genuinely hope we have several quality players lined up and hope they arrive in the very near future.
-
Ach well, Hayes confirmed to Celtic then. Can't bring myself to wish him luck, but can certainly thank him for the efforts he put in here, a truly difficult player to replace. Side note, Ryan Christie returns on a season long loan, apparently nothing to do with the Hayes deal, separate according to AFC.
-
According to gossip pages we are back to pursuing Maloney and now apparently want Steven Naismith. The obvious stumbling block for these moves would be wages surely? And Hayes was in Glasgow Airport today with Celtic's Physio Tom Williamson, would imagine this will be announced today if he passes the medical.

Was Maurice Ross not a bit like that?

Next Aberdeen Manager
KennyFuckinPowers replied to Garlogie_Granite's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Out of that list, only Alex Neil would soften my current mood, and not that greatly. He has experience in this division, went to England, did what he did there and is now looking for work. Similar to McInnes' story really. Whatever happens though, I sincerely hope it's all settled before the Europa League qualifiers start, that's very important. We need at least 5 key players and a couple of squad type's, and adding to that a new manager and assistant, fuck sake, what a debacle. Alex McLeish has literally been pimping himself out for every available job that's been going, I sincerely hope we give that a wide berth! -
Deek to Sunderland??
KennyFuckinPowers replied to Garlogie_Granite's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Looks almost certain now unfortunately. Sky Sports Scotland just had their breaking news pish and it's saying that Sunderland have made an official approach now. And regarding the post above, I saw Harvey's tweet also, looking ominous I am afraid. Perhaps that's why all the players left that have left, and now Hayes, never thought there was anything in that recently, but could very well be the case that he goes now also. Fuck sake -
Can't be any bad to come from this surely? A step in the right direction and maybe McInnes will think twice about going to Sunderland ( If there's any truth in that ) as hopefully his budget might see a slight increase.

And according to some newspapers this morning, they are going to make an official approach for him this week. -
At least all the gossip surrounding Hayes has went away for the last few days. I still believe there's nothing in it. Obviously at first I was weary, but I reckon they'll try for Roberts again and failing that, they'll go for someone else, a more household name if you will, as the Dhims seemed rather underwhelmed at the prospect of Hayes joining them.

Andy Cunningham, of Bodger & Badger fame, dies aged 67. Remember that programme well, as was roughly my generation growing up. R.I.P
-
Another rumour doing the rounds on Social Media, Lloyd Isgrove on a free transfer. Released by Southampton and is primarily a winger.
-
Apparently Cardiff City have matched Celtic's 1.2 Million Pound bid for Jonny Hayes now. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfers-another-bid-submitted-birmingham-13146634

Here is a snippet from Hayes interview Asked about Celtic, he said: “We’ve obviously known about it for a while now. –– ADVERTISEMENT –– “There have been a few things developing with the club. “It means you are doing something right if somebody else is taking a look. “You can take it as a compliment. As far as I’m aware I am still an Aberdeen player. “I enjoy it there and it’s an old cliche but we’ll wait and see what happens. “I just wanted to finish the season with Aberdeen and I signed a new deal there in January.
-
Side note, I see there's " quotes " from Hayes in today's papers in where he's saying that he's flattered to be linked to Celtic and whatever happens in the summer happens.
-
Thistle released Amoo, and from what I have seen from him, he's extremely inconsistent. But he's a free transfer I suppose. He could come in and share the role with young Scott Wright if anything. But I very much doubt McInnes will be looking for that. Said it before and I will say it again ( Cause I'm a cunt ) Gordon Greer is a free transfer. 6ft 3" definitely a no nonsense type, doesn't try play out or anything fancy, good experience and played 20+ games in the Championship with Blackburn last season. And they also released Jason Lowe, the CDM Brown tried to sign a few seasons ago. He was Blackburn's captain last season. 2 Players that would come in and certainly add to our squad, without weakening it.
