  1. Think many are slightly aggrieved at the lack of transfer activity, and rightly so. Anyway, not sure what to make of Hibs, no Ambrose and Porteus, as much as a bombscare as Ambrose was, when he was on form, he was a good defender! Honestly don't know anything about McNulty. More concerned about our own squad at the moment, McInnes said we are light at the back in his presser this morning, so I assume Devlin is still out, McKenna obviously. Hoban & Considine at CB? Logan & Lowe at Full Back. They will have had a lift with their 2nd half at St Mirren, but I think we have more about us than St Mirren and hopefully take a 2 goal lead in at HT. Hibernian 1 vs 3 Aberdeen ( Cosgrove x 2, Considine )
  2. So turns out the McKenna to Stoke for 7 million was bullshit, and Tyrone Smith has just tweeted this, perhaps explaining the decision to allow Wright to go out on loan, given we still have GMS, McGinn & McLennan. As well as defender Scott McKenna staying put in the face of interest from Stoke City, Gary Mackay-Steven is also set to remain at Aberdeen beyond the closure of the window. The winger was a target for New York City.
  3. The same person that told me Watt was signing for St Johnstone said at the same time Wright was going to St Mirren I think it was, on loan, not sure what happened, of course, he also said we were signing Nathan Delfouneso and that's turned out to be shite.
  4. Peter O'Rourke now on Twitter saying Stoke have had a bid of 7 Million accepted for McKenna! He is also usually on the ball with rumours/speculation. This could be a very interesting few hours.
  5. According to Scott Burns, GMS, James Wilson, Bruce Anderson & Scott Wright could all be away in this window. All of that and only one incoming, Brandon Barker. I thought Scott was usually on the ball with this type of stuff, but there is absolutely no way McInnes would let 4 players leave and only bring in one, therefore, I call bullshit. That's not to say there haven't been enquiries etc...
  6. A bit wayward this, but made me smile.
  7. Might just be the kick up the arse the players needed in this half, listening to the Radio, you'd think it was us that was 3-1 down
  8. The thing with Hayes, even if he was half as good as he was previously at us, he'd probably be out best winger! The guy was easily a 8 out of 10 performer most weeks, guaranteed assists, chipped in with plenty of goals & defended brilliantly. He hasn't played an awful lot of Football since he left us though, he's ageing now and has probably lost a bit of his biggest asset, which was his pace, he'd be ineligible to play against Celtic and we'd be back to square one when the loan expired. If I weigh everything up, I'd be against it, and I fucking loved him, genuinely, he was amazing in his spell here and I actually thought he'd retire here.
  9. Aye, it's from the 90's Rocket, literally no idea how their career went? I thought she sounded a tiny bit like Lana Del Rey, but that song in particular was decent in my opinion, suited her monotone.
  10. Insipid, hesitant and overall, poor. That is 2 points dropped, literally cannot remember Lewis making a save? Too many not at the races individually, the usual suspects to be honest, but we won't have them bad mouthed Shinnie deservedly MOTM, not much else to write home about.
  11. I think there is a lot more to it than that. What is May's goal to game ratio? How many has he scored from open play? Did you see his attempts at Livingston? He is a nuisance, he runs his socks off, but there is normally no end product, albeit he did put in a decent cross for the opener against Hamilton. If playing May gets the best out of Cosgrove and he continues to score, then happy days, but Stewart could quite easily adopt the same role as May, but would more than likely add more goals than May. Not sure what it is going to take May to get his confidence back in front of goal, can't say it is lack of game time, he's played plenty now, and can't say it's lack of clear cut opportunities, because he's also had plenty of them, he is a Striker, people were absolutely bashing Cosgrove after 3 or 4 games, who despite not scoring, was more problematic than May, the guy is getting it awfully easy from a lot of supporters, I assume because he tries like fuck & we paid for him a decent fee, whereas had it been anyone else ( See Cosgrove before his goal run ) they'd have been brushed aside already.
  12. This is definitely worth a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ9E0mC9Cwk
  13. Saw this man in Glasgow on Monday night, small venue, close and personal, thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth the £15.
  14. What a huge game this is going to be. Kilmarnock have been very good under Clarke, nobody can dispute that, and we were very fortunate to beat them at Rugby Park earlier in the season, and by all accounts, they were very fortunate to beat us at Pittodrie even earlier due to a ridiculous sending off. I anticipate a few goals, their midfield work hard and they have a real nuisance in Brophy ( worth a look ) up front, but I think they can be got at defensively, we need a sharper GMS, and I think McGinn will come back in for May, meaning Stewart will play off Cosgrove, that's what I think will happen anyway, probably as you were regarding everywhere else. Must win in my opinion, we are on a good run, Stenhousemuir aside, and we'll need to be at our best to get 3 points come Saturday, but so will they, an early goal could put the fear into them ( considering our record against them ) so fingers crossed we start with a bit of intent and take the game to them. Aberdeen 3 vs 2 Kilmarnock ( Stewart, Cosgrove, McGinn )
  15. 3 Points, clean sheet and big Sam with a brace ( loved his 2nd goal ) Saturday is going to be tasty as fuck. COYFR!
  16. Is that right? That is pretty bad, cant use the pitch as an excuse because we've had the better of Killie on their pitch several times, and Killie are a much better team than Hamilton! ( Assuming pitches are the same ) Hopefully they are itching to put Stenhousemuir out of their minds and we turn Hamilton over, Canning is a bawbag, never liked him, and he's pretty smug considering he's a rather pish manager. Hamilton 0 - 2 Aberdeen ( McGinn, Cosgrove )
  17. Shame for the lad considering his personal circumstances, but it is the best solution for both parties, just a pity it was an expensive one ( in relative terms ) and also Tansey, we've forked out a few quid on releasing players from their contracts. I'd also imagine we are contributing more towards Greg Stewarts wages than Killie did, bringing Lowe back as well, is there anything left to add another Forward, perhaps another Central Midfielder, fuck, even a Winger? We could do a lot worse than allowing Scott Wright to go out on loan for the remainder of the season and bring in another experienced Winger ( Similar to McGinn & GMS ) Just my thoughts.
  18. I thought he'd been showing decent signs in his last few appearances and still think there's more to come from him, even though I don't think he has been anywhere near as bad as some make him out to be. Maybe in a minority but I'd be disappointed if we let him go.
  19. Spurs just scored a literal last 10 second winner away to Fulham, and I swear to God, their supporters seemed awfully subdued considering the goal and the timing etc... weird as fuck
  20. Greg Stewart's loan move to Aberdeen is "bull****" and has a "slightly strange smell about it" says Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke. Clarky not too impressed
  21. Certainly did not anticipate that. A team bottom of their league, which is 2 leagues below us, and conceded 16 goals in their last 5 games, has to go down as an absolutely ridiculous & unacceptable result. Fairytale stuff for Stenhousemuir though and I am sure they will enjoy the replay ( Which I thoroughly expect us to coast through )
  22. It's as strong a line up as he could put out given the injury situation. I can't see anything other than a large goal to zero margin here. Hopefully Stewart hits the ground running. COYR
  23. Welcome back Greg, if he carries on the form he showed at Killie then we are laughing.
  24. Fuck & Yes. Fuck yes.
  25. Superb news. He improved dramatically the more he played and this is genuinely a key signing, wish we could get him permanently but of course, finances dictate these things and the parent clubs willingness to sell. Welcome back Max
