No arguing with you as I have never seen him play, but shankland was a good finisher with limited pace. Why Anderson over shankland?

I still, using my head, think Celtic will beat us. Bigger budget and better players, plus they are used to and expect to win. And we had a very emotional and exhausting game on Wednesday. But this time is different, we are on a major run and we have a manager who can do no wrong. Every time we have been questioned weāve more than answered. Why not today, as I said before, Celtic are due a shock domestic loss and weāre due a cup win over Celtic..??!?

Funny, agree midfield doesnāt need touched when we had no midfield or width last year and we were awful there. Topi sivert palaversa have been very good signings and a reborn Morris and Vinny give us depth that are good enough for now. agree we need a 9. I donāt think nisbet is the answer and sokler and Ambrose give us depth. Gueye is an attacking player who gives you depth in all 4 attacking positions but I donāt see him as our main 9, or even a regular starter. really want to know where we stand with McGrath and McKenzie. Think we need to look at a contingency plan and a legit left mid/winger may be the right thing to do, perhaps giving us better balance in midfield. Maybe the young Aussie we were linked with?? i donāt agree we havenāt spent the bojan money, itās not just paying for players but also signing on fees, salaries and new contracts (eg devlin). I do believe adding topi, sivert, palaversa, and Ambrose also adds up to decent money. Adding say a 32 yr old in January could be an option, but Iād be more likely to look at pre contracts this summer and ride out the season. Although could a legit center forward be the difference between 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd, both having significant financial ramifications.

Is that 5 years after we win the league? Five years in champions league??

I donāt know jimmy obviously, and less than all of you in Scotland. based on what Iāve read, and heard him say, the way he conducts relationships, his affection/care for the clubs he has managed etc, I think we have him for 3 years minimum. Heās also openly talked about this being a 3 year plan (initially.) it was clear he cared for elfsborg, he didnāt leave until the end of the season. He apparently told us the previous season we should hire Robson since heās earned it. He cares about clubs, has morals, brings a āweā and āfamilyā approach. I also think this approach is perfect for us, a family club. And I think what has happened here with him so far is special and far from guaranteed at every club. The fans and players appear to love him and vice cersa. Obviously heāll approach each club he manages differently, but I donāt think his approach works for every club. itās early doors and things can go to shit. Successful managers have been sacked the following season. I think for us we try our best to keep Peter leven happy, he made a very good impression on us and the team last season. Hopefully he learns the ins and outs of thelin and perhaps takes over if and when the time comes.

Thelin to the Huns? Ambrose to Real Madrid?

With the way shady is playing I simply suggest a straight swap.

I guess āeasilyā should be clarified. They created a number of chances and were unfortunate not to score. Just like we could have easily been 2 or 3 up at half time last night. We played so well last night first half that itās fair to say it could easily have been a few goals in the first half, Celtic have the same argument. I wondered when he subbed sivert last night, and subbed him quite early. I think he was on a booking and putting himself around, but he also saved his legs so fully expect him to start at the weekend. as for the team, maybe nisbet for sokler if fit but sokler played well last night and kinda deserves the start. Heās also scored against Celtic, this season and last season I. The cup. Iād start clarkson and McGrath wide, duk coming on to terrorize them second half. Itās really our ānormalā 11. Is duk healthy??
-
I dont know what to expect. I also dont know how much last night took out of us, whereās Celtic have the luxury of freshening things up a little more than us. Celtic battered us at the end of the game 2 weeks ago and could have easily won. At the same time, we could have won too. We gave them something to think about, and from shinnie scoring to going up 3-2, they didnāt look unbeatable. One thing is for sure, we have a clever and creative manager. Iām sure he learned a lot playing Celtic and will make adjustments. Plus, we have a very motivated and driven team who have more than handled everything thrown at them season to date. Weāre a brave group who wonāt be scared. weāre due a cup win over them. They are due a domestic shock/loss. 3-2 us, possibly AET. Sokler, McGrath, and clarkson.

I think you are starting a rumor, January loan until we fully sign him back next summer?
-
That first half display was a thing of beauty. We were relentless. We said we havenāt really been that good, getting closer. I said at half time it would have taken a lot out of us and I expected more from rangers, but to lose a goal then go on and win it says so much about this team, AND the fans. i do appreciate so much honesty in the media saying how we totally outplayed them first half and deserved the win. To hear Clementās post game interview is laughable, and given it was so obvious they were outplayed for much of the game, only does damage to his relationship with their fans. What thelin doing at Aberdeen makes him look so poor. Long may all of this continue. Oh, did I mention 17 mill losses yet? Ha.
-
Donāt see anyone having a go at him, heās been excellent this season. But it was an awful penalty! tremendous win, most bizarre interview from clement afterwards, he felt it was one of their better games and didnāt deserve to lose. First half we absolutely hammered them. Hope he stays though, he is not making any progress with that squad. also nice to see hearts new manager bounce has lost its elasticity. October was the month that challenged us, and would really tell us and everyone if we were legit. damn weāve come through it well. saturday is a free hit. We got to see what they were like and while they are good, itās winnable.
-
Stunned at how bad a penalty. Would have preferred sokler to take it to be fair, he has the fight and temperament that I think heād smash it in. at 1-1 I was pretty crushed given how good we were in the first half. But credit due, yet again we found a way. Iāve always believed in Morris too, up there with Ambrose in terms of quality! To be fair to him, thriving as an impact sub, letās not get carried away and start him! Well done to the lad, nice to see we have players on the bench that can change games for the better when we need them. lastly, shout out to Molloy, very solid game. Ruby too. Molloy is a young lad but certainly has a calmness and a good partner for ruby. A consistent back 4 with sivert in front, hopefully they continue to grow together and improve.
-
Think he needed that! I know heād missed a penalty, donāt think heād scored for them before tonight??
-
Shaky first 20 mins of the second half but fucking deserved. First half outstanding. Proud dandy!!!
-
Absolutely battered them. Thatās a lot of effort in the first half. Donāt expect them to be as shit second half. Definite red card as sokler was through. Awful penalty. Interesting second half ahead.
-
Duk starts, clarkson on the bench. I assume McGrath at 10 with duk on the left. Topi right, shady coming on second half to grab a goal and an assist!

Given the 17 mill announcement Iād really like to know about Barron, how when and how much we are being paid?? -
I think they are under so much pressure to compete with Celtic on the park while not having their shit together off it. Money is an issue to them obviously, to an extent I dont fully understand, but I think missing out on champions league is enormous. I also think itās clear they arenāt progressing on the field due to two main factors, the manager has not improved performance and doesnāt appear to even have a style of play, plus their new signs have cost money but so far do not appear to have bought value. then the dons factor kicks in which affects them in my opinion. Our manager has brought an instant impact with a smaller budget. We are playing well, fans are excited, and we have a clear tactical set up - they have none of that. You then could argue gueye, sivert, mitov, molloy, even palaversa and topi have had as big if not a bigger impact than their more costly signings. they envy us and that terrifies them. Lose Wednesday and that is devastating to their club and fans. Now and potentially next too, at least.
-
I donāt see it being all 3 at the same time, shinnie sivert and palaversa. One of our strengths this season has been our subbing and being able to bring on a fresh legit center mid in the second half has been huge for us. He didnāt do it at Celtic and donāt expect it at home to a lesser team.
-
Your last part is key. Thelin has made humble comments so often, one game at a time etc, that I donāt think we get carried away. Add to that, we had the stones to come back at parkhead, and we have a manager that coached us to a win making in game changes on Saturday. I know weāll lose at some point, I just dont think itās Wednesday. I think our mentality will be spot on and the orcs are vulnerable.
-
I fully expect us to play McGrath clarkson and topi behind nisbet if fit, if not sokler. Shinnie back in with sivert. duk and morris have had chances, duk is just coming back and morris had his chance earlier in the season and didnāt take it. Both have produced off the bench in recent weeks, thatās where they are best utilized at present. I wanted us to go for Alan Campbell but we signed palaversa. We got what we needed though, three legit starting center mids. Expect shinnie back with sivert with palaversa a good player to bring on when we are ahead second half and tightening things a little. its nice to have options rather than eleven players and dross coming in after that, which we have seen recently. Donāt know enough about the huns but we have plenty of players who have experience in this fixture and /or know the importance. Confidence is sky high, we have a level headed and clever manager by the look of things. we've said recently that the next game is a real test, Dundee away, hearts, Celtic, and utd. And weāve come through it very impressively. Are the Huns any different? Everything we hear is that their manager is suspect and their players are average. I see no reason why we cannot win this. 2-1 us, McGrath and clarkson.
-
Tough result for united, good opportunity for rangers to get a little breathing space tomorrow in their battle for 3rd. Rangers only 11 ahead of hearts, sure theyāll still be looking in their rear mirror there too. interesting to note that we are 20 ahead of hearts after 9 games. By that average, in May after 36 games weāre 80 ahead of them?
-
Not sure if we were good or they were disappointing as they offered very little in attack. A very dons like performance of the past from them when we played the old firm. I expected more from them since we are not overly strong defensively and have given away poor goals. I thought theyād try to win the game. First half they offered a little on the counter, all us second half. Really intrigued by Wednesday now, donāt care what rangers do tomorrow, they are there to be beaten and I expect JT to approach it that way.
-
Totally. I donāt think we play really well. We dominated today but our attacking play wasnāt great and we really didnāt create much. JT can do no wrong, injuries and not just rangers but Celtic next weekend were Iām sure a factor in the line up and subbing. Using the squad and Vinny, Morris, Ambrose, and shinnie were all a factor today. Fully expect McGrath left and clarkson at 10, plus shinnie against rangers, and nisbet too if fit. Only question is if shady starts. Iād say no, heās an impact sub. interesting we get our first pen of the year and Vinny goes to take it. Iām assuming it would be McGrath or sokler, maybe nisbet, if they are on the field??
