    Holidays 2020

Nothing planned for abroad this year. Our annual fishing trip up the N/W was cancelled in May but weve booked it in for late Sept.A few long weekends for bagging the remaining 70 odd Munros, and a couple of trips to a cottage we rent on the Isle of Lismore.Thats it this year
  3. Cracking shot that. I knew it was Skye but never been to/heard of Tarvaig. Love the Cuillin but Skye's landscape generally doesnt do much for me,nor the tourists/midges Forecast pretty good from tomorrow.Recommend the walk from Elgol to Camasunary.A cracking coastal walk, takes you right to the edge of the Cuillin.Or you can catch a boat trip from there instead if theyre looking for things to do
  4. Aye,apart fae those hills, not over fond of that location myself.
  5. Know where you are,but nae 100% sure which part of where youre at fae the first pic.Forecast decent Wed/thurs.Gies a shout if looking for a hill or walk Edit - Youre in the N/E so no need
  6. That'll do.Patchy performance but hopefully identify and encourage the good aspects attack wise,ie less hoofball, more movement/interplay. Despite Watkins not being a proper striker, didnt dislike what I saw of him
  7. MoM for me.
  8. Looks like hes going for it then rather than managing
  9. Matty Kennedy let us down there...
  10. Wright has been poor but may have been worth keeping on after scoring. Game managemant time ?
  11. Nice goal
  12. Hopefully get the ball down and see a bit more movement/running at defence. COYR
  13. Tried out our bivvy bags on local Barmekin hill as a way to avoid taking tents in summer.a bit chilly despite being 10o overnight.Great wee hill for little effort(275m) DSC01961 by , on Flickr Pal(plus bivvy bag) managing to sleep in for sunrise DSC01997 by , on Flickr Good wee starter hill.routes here https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=50559 https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/aberdeenshire/barmekin-hill.shtml
  14. Also a bit meh for me,but lets see what he can offer.Prove us wrong min.....
  15. Canna be too canny with these lethal StJs strikers
  16. Maybe Campbell at L/B.Prefer Jonny up front...
  17. Hayes McGinn and Kennedy buzzing about the box has the potential to be tasty if given the freedom(or if they ignore Derek/do their own thing)).More curious than excited about tonight, hoping for a pleasant surprise. COYBeardedmidget

    Q Magazine

Bought my first drum kit from an ad in 'Sounds' a few decades ago,and later took up Melody Maker and a monthly drummers magazine which I canna mind the name of.Bought Kerrang a few times but was a bit too Greaser for me. Shame to see them all go
  19. The book of Luther Blisset - Chapter 3 v 19. Come on now...
  20. What a redd up. Not sure why theyre complaining so much if they knew they were in breach of protocol. Sounds like some of them are looking for reasons to leave
  21. Heres Aoife ODonovan covering your mans(Springsteen) album,Nebraska
  22. Am a pretty fit loon, but continuing to allow myself the indulgence of butteries. The boy at the Grove is now selling 'Bruce o the Broch' butteries. Some days very good,crispy/flaky,....others on a par with an Inverurie based baker ? no.1 these days is a griddle heated buttery(via the Breadmaker,Rosemount) with butter fae Cognito,st Swithin st. Breadmaker breads are fine too.Have to try the wee artisan cafe up the road there too
  23. Got the stones fae Leiths Quarry up in cove. They had a pile where you can pick out the ones you want. That bed ^^^ is appx 24m2 in area,by appx 0.5m deep on average.Used about 10tons of soils(A and M Smith,Portlethen give it away for free).Reckon I used uround 5 tons of rock for the wall.A lot of big eens hidden behind to support/build on,and small ones to underpin/ fill the gaps If you canna be arsed with all that,I would have gone for sleepers instead, either horizontally,...or to give you more flexibility with shape, vertically. Some stunning pics in here among the dross https://www.railwaysleepers.com/projects/retaining-walls-with-railway-sleepers
