    Coronavirus

Surprising how casual some folks are being.Assistant at b and q yesterday coughing all over the joint without covering her mouth. It's quiet at the NHS up here because there are only 18 confirmed cases in Grampian (down from 24 strangely),though expect that to grow as we reach a peak. Edit there's a webpage called worldometer Corona virus for latest stats around the world, and a map for affected regions in the uk in the Guardian website Currently self isolating in the Glen Orchy hills

    Coronavirus

While the politicians fanny about,as much of this will depend on our own decisions and common sense. Some better news below ; ? China has closed down its last coronavirus hospital. Not enough new cases to support them. ? Doctors in India have been successful in treating Coronavirus. Combination of drugs used: Lopinavir, Retonovir, Oseltamivir along with Chlorphenamine. They are going to suggest same medicine, globally. ? Researchers of the Erasmus Medical Center claim to have found an antibody against coronavirus. ? A 103-year-old Chinese grandmother has made a full recovery from COVID-19 after being treated for 6 days in Wuhan, China. ? Apple reopens all 42 china stores. ? Cleveland Clinic developed a COVID-19 test that gives results in hours, not days. ? Good news from South Korea, where the number of new cases is declining. ? Italy is hit hard, experts say, only because they have the oldest population in Europe. ? Scientists in Israel likely to announce the development of a coronavirus vaccine. ? 3 Maryland coronavirus patients fully recovered; able to return to everyday life. ? A network of Canadian scientists are making excellent progress in Covid-19 research. ? A San Diego biotech company is developing a Covid-19 vaccine in collaboration with Duke University and National University of Singapore. ? Tulsa County's first positive COVID-19 case has recovered. This individual has had two negative tests, which is the indicator of recovery. ? All 7 patients who were getting treated for at Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi have recovered. ? Plasma from newly recovered patients from Covid -19 can treat others infected by Covid-19.
  3. Just coming down a hill as we speak, before I was going to head to for park.Spose I'll head up another one
  4. Was meant to be on the hills on Saturday, but the forecast looks grim, but great tomorrow so off the morn and working Saturday In or Oot - an unlikely In Furryboots - Away end Pre - Couple of Southern Munros am Post - Falling asleep at the wheel Prediction - 2 - 2 Main, Ferguson
  5. Fair do's min, wasnt aware of all that.I do think a capacity of circa 18'000 suits us looking at our crowd averages down the years.Hearts crowds may have built up as a result of their initial crowd restriction.Folks therefore getting caught up in a ticket clamour > getting into the habit of going regular >and therefore able to increase capacity at a later date? Another reason for liking the 18'000 capacity is weve often had crowds teetering on the 10k mark over the years,...aye,actually in the stadium.I would rather be in a stadium that seemed to be more than half full than less, and therefore wouldnt increase even if it was possible
  6. A bit early to assume theyre trying to convince us of a smaller capacity at Kingsford.Have we not been closing the upper RDS since before any Kingsford height issue? May be as simple as reducing costs/increasing atmosphere
  7. Trump,Sanders or Biden. What an array of choices.I assumed Biden was just a bit old and doddery for the presidency but wasnt aware of his creepier side...
  8. His name doesnt work too well with the song?,...or the fact he's quietly effective, and the song suits someone more prominent?. I heard a new one in his honour for the first time on Saturday, but cant remember how it goes. Deserves the praise as you say though
  9. Aye,forgot about those saves from Lewis.Could have been a different story otherwise. As an aside, there seemed to be a heavy police presence in and around the ground.Even the Mainer, where there was a policewoman patrolling the aisles.Noticed a fair group of scarfless Hibs guys next to the RDS??
  10. An unexpected but excellent turnaround, which looked unlikely as we reached half time.Hibs started brightly, and showed us what breaking quickly is all about and deservedly went ahead. If our attacks werent breaking down,we were so laboured, that we carried little threat, though appreciate we've had to change the line up again hindering us getting into any rythym Second half, helped by the sending off,we upped it and deservedly got back into it without being too pretty on the eye.Good old Andy once again baling us out.Whatever flaws he has must surely be cancelled out by the amount of important goals hes scored. Top Dons for me were McGeouch,Ojo,Ferguson and McGinn.Great attitude from all.MacLennan? I want him to do well, but we could be getting so much more from him IMO.He could start by whining less and thinking more effectively Good noisy support from Hibs, though it was nice to rub their smug elements faces in it.
  11. Our unpredictability of the last few weeks has made going to the fitba a bit more bearable/interesting than the previous predictable dirge. Hope we continue with McGinn and Main or Cosgrove up front, and we go for it if Hibs are still off the boil. In or Oot - In,Mainer Pre - Working Post - Driving Prediction - Will take a 2 - 1 win McGinn,Kennedy
  12. Well done loons.MacLennan with an equaliser
  13. Actually, did we start off 3-5-2 in the cup and struggle, maybe needs a 4-4-2 with similar personnel.Who knows with Deek though, soon find out, COYR Heres it - Lewis, Logan, Taylor, Devlin, Considine, Ojo, Ferguson, McLennan, Kennedy, McGinn, Main. Substitutes: Cerny, Hernandez, MacKenzie, Gallagher, McGeouch, Hedges, Anderson.
  14. Lewis Devlin Taylor Considine McLennan Ferguson Ojo Campbell Kennedy McGinn Main Keen to see McGinn up front again.McGeouch for Campbell if the loons out.Hoping McLennan is having his 1 good game in 5.Swap with Logan if not All going well,3 - 1 the dandies. McGinn x2, Ojo
  15. Rather play them now than the final personally.Think we've a wee chance in a one off against todays Celtic, with the added carrot of meeting a team as mediocre as ourselves in the final
  16. He does deserve a run,but also have a hunch he doesnt have enough about him.Only find out if he gets a run though. Love a Scottish Cup away day,but dont do enough away days for the points. Forms a bit too up and down recently to predict,I'll hope for a McInnes surprise line up and a 2 - 0 win.McGinn,Kennedy
  17. Nor that....hahaha
  18. Blimey.Didna see that coming. COYR
  19. Boom......Considine once again saving the Dons
  20. A decent line up personnel wise, but scratching the head at the formation??. Am sure Deek has it all ..er under control though. Come away the Dandies
  21. Slick City fitba is always worth a watch, but agree on the womens fitba,a no watcher for me(more so after watching that first goal ^^).But if theres a demand for it elsewhere, good luck to them As far as female commentators go,I find them a hard listen, maybe the pitch of their voices or something.Nae doubting they can be as knowledgeable as anyone, but its when they try to emulate the over enthusiasm of some of the seasoned pros it becomes a turn off.Just be yourself, why copy your Alan Greens,or our own Liam McLeod with their spittle covered mics
  22. Well that was harsh,Celtic looked out of sorts. We deserved something from the game, showed good intent, competed wel and looked hungry Some good performances,Taylor,Ojo,McLennan and McGinn.Kennedy doing a bit of an early Johnny Hayes though,ie hesitant, out of sorts as compared to what he was doing at StJs. McLennan looks like he could be pretty handy through the middle, though would like us to continue with McGinn and Main or Cosgrove for the time being in the 'lesser' games Bit more optimistic than of late, bring on the Killie. COYR
  23. Opened the curtains just after 9 and there was a mini Blizzard going on.Eased off now to bright but very breezy.Might deter a bit of hoofball but nae too confident. Take a draw 2- 2 McGinn,Gallacher
  24. And a bit of Funk - worth it for the bass players head movement Fearless flyers
  25. Like this guy - Theo Katzman
