  1. What a redd up. Not sure why theyre complaining so much if they knew they were in breach of protocol. Sounds like some of them are looking for reasons to leave
  2. Heres Aoife ODonovan covering your mans(Springsteen) album,Nebraska
  3. Am a pretty fit loon, but continuing to allow myself the indulgence of butteries. The boy at the Grove is now selling 'Bruce o the Broch' butteries. Some days very good,crispy/flaky,....others on a par with an Inverurie based baker ? no.1 these days is a griddle heated buttery(via the Breadmaker,Rosemount) with butter fae Cognito,st Swithin st. Breadmaker breads are fine too.Have to try the wee artisan cafe up the road there too
  4. Got the stones fae Leiths Quarry up in cove. They had a pile where you can pick out the ones you want. That bed ^^^ is appx 24m2 in area,by appx 0.5m deep on average.Used about 10tons of soils(A and M Smith,Portlethen give it away for free).Reckon I used uround 5 tons of rock for the wall.A lot of big eens hidden behind to support/build on,and small ones to underpin/ fill the gaps If you canna be arsed with all that,I would have gone for sleepers instead, either horizontally,...or to give you more flexibility with shape, vertically. Some stunning pics in here among the dross https://www.railwaysleepers.com/projects/retaining-walls-with-railway-sleepers
  5. Originally,Portlethen now..
  6. aye,crack on....
  7. Good question - I painted the fronts and the edges(very carefully),but should probably have spoken to my neighbour first.Hasnt said anything yet though.I can see it being more of a problem if theres an eg, larch lap/interwoven fence panel where your paint can overspill to you neighbours side. ps ,know a man who can fell your trees if looking.Pm if looking
  8. Never usually that well maintained but between lockdown and breaking my ankle a few months back, got the fences painted(first time in 15 years),and garden knocked into shape.Thinning /chucking out heaps of plants if youre needing some this Autumn
  9. Haha. Its a bonny spot that.worth coming back in a couple on months to watch the salmon jump up the same bit 40 times
  10. If I'd known it was as nice inland, would have headed for some hills,...but,worked a half day, followed by a bit of gardening at home....
  11. Needle and the damage done - Neil Young
  12. Woke up this am about 6,and a'thing was dry. 2 hours later, and theres polls of water the likes Ive rarely seen. Near B and Q Garthdee
  13. you seem to be going thru a melancholic musical phase Cairnsy,so heres another in the same vein - Anais Mitchell
  14. .Fringe players to come in and turn Deeks old boys club upside down ?
  15. Normally a game I would go to but thankful of the excuse not to.If I hear its a one upfront job pre kick off,I'll be off gardening or walking instead, rather than listening. Need a show of entertainment intent soon. COYBleedinReds
  16. Get in there Kenny....
  17. Worth a try then. Do you get to a stage where you walk straight into a cold shower,as opposed to gradually screwing down the temperature(like the boy above does)? And as I also asked him, have you noticed a difference in your tolerance to hot weather...
  18. Yes.He swears by taking cold showers regularly.Says he doesnt feel the cold as much.Asked him "but does it not therefore make you more sweaty in warmer weather?"........not according to him ? While Im here, carried on a bit more with the East Aberdeenshire coast walk, mentioned above by walking to stonehaven via Crawton where the last of the Puffins were at before disappearing til next Spring.Awesome place for the cliffs alone, and also for the amount and variety of birdlife.Bonus sunset at Stonehaven later
  19. All along the watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
  20. When Milne was still at the helm,I wanted shot of McInnes at least a season before now.I'm as bored as anyone of the current style of football. But,he has shown that he can bring together teams that can be entertaining to varying degrees, and compete reasonably well in competitions. Not due to managerial or tactical nous IMO,but the ability to attract a good standard of players that either click as a group or they dinna. He doesnt seem to know whats needed to suit a groups of players that isnt working. Why am I prepared to give him another chance? Because I think since '16/'17 he's taken the easier option of grinding out results, without testing enough whether a current squad would benefit from trying something more attack minded. So a bit of pressure might, push him out his comfort zone, and freshen the thinking.Depends how forceful DC is with it,and how McInnes responds, but worth a try IMO before an expensive change. I dont think the players enjoy the current style either.
  21. Always better to evolve by your own means, and he should have done so more than he has by now,but aye,am prepared to allow McInnes adjustment to the alleged new football philosophy, and how DC goes about imposing it if signs of improvement arent there.
  22. Aye,...but if we cant afford to sack him,Covid doesnt make any difference RST Also agree with most of what Kenny says.If McInnes didnt think lumping the ball to Brucie was a good idea,he could have nipped it in the bud early on,if not worked on it in training. He was asked post match why he started off so slowly, but avoided answering by talking about the Huns instead.
  23. What little positives there were - Hernandez might not be as unpromising as he showed last season.Edmondson looks more than a physical specimen, could be useful.Like to see him with Anderson or (preferably)mcGinn alongside. Other than that,we'll need to do more than repeat the same old, same old if we want to entice myself and others to want to get to Pittodrie regularly
  24. Usually takes us going behind for McInnes to do something, hopefully revert to DCs demand of attacking football .....? Edmondson warming up...
  25. Paul Simon - You can call me Al ?
