  12. I think theres still a similar pool of folk in the N/E that will go to games,as there was back in the Fergie days.Aside from the season after the ECWC win in 83/84 where our average home attendance was around 17500,our home crowds now,in a less successful era, arent that much different from back then. Our away support over the last 20 years is as big as its ever been IMO. In the seventies and eighties,Outside of Dundee,or big cup games, some of our away supports were tiny. So,I would say theres still a good core of folks that will turn up for games if theres competition EDIT - in response to DeeDon
  13. Couldnt believe we managed to get Seve. His first season or two he was outstanding. Some screamers of goals too Great memories of both those games.Always remember the poles, students etc outside their tenement doors applauding us up Merkland road after the Copenhagen game.Happy days
  14. From a large family,so one of us is doing a starter for Xmas dinner(me),one doing the main(brother) and one doing dessert(sister).Thankfully only 8 of us on Xmas day. Usually a gathering of around 20 on Boxing day, though manage to avoid kitchen duties on that occasion...
  15. Ooft no way .Durrant for Buc...trying to hae my breakfast
  16. Anyway - Rush - Spirit of the radio
  17. Ok,but you can use part of the song title in the name of a band*as your answer,as long as the next answer uses the song title of that band*?? ??? Edit - looks like its songs titles from song titles then
  18. Weve got ourselves partly to blame for how things turned out though. What we did to get Rangers demoted was the right thing(not that we should have had to),but, for too many of us the thrill of getting Rangers sent down was all that mattered, rather than following through with the less exciting stuff, like changing the voting structure etc.I remember the mood at the time, not enough of us had the stomach to keep it going. If were thinking of chucking it(and I could quite happily switch to other pursuits,golf/hills etc too),then should we not at least make the effort to change things before we do,esp those of us who have seen it all.The other teams should resign* from the league for a start if this really is about colt teams for only the OF.Id want to hear a statement from AFC soon if true. *In fact why not do it anyway
  19. If i was Jason Cumming,I would look at us as a bit of a sideways move, despite being in different leagues.Hibs on the up,SC winners,us a wee bit.. meh?? Priority is the right midfielder, and if we can stretch to a decent defender too it might be enough for the missing confidence,or belief, half the problem IMO
  20. The Blues band - Come on in
  21. Nae ees Malaga.Should have had the hoor put down for that(and the dog ) A friend of mine stays out near Sauchen and 'had' a wee dog,nae sure what breed, but similar in size to a small staffy. It broke out the garden and chased one of the neighbouring farmers sheep. The farmer was up quick as you like, took the dog away and shot it,and got the woman to stump up £500 for scaring the sheep which was in lamb.Am assuming he was within his rights to do so before he did that. So,worth checking out what the law is over there for that sort of thing.Canna have attacks like that?
  22. Well its outdoors Havnt seen much of Kent, but Sussex has a really nice rolling landscape.Only things is the amount of folk everywhere The Keiloch car park between Ballater and Braemar is a great place to take off from for a wide variety of walks, and cycling for that matter, from easy riverside routes to day long munro trips. Will write up a few routes from here when more time
  23. Like it DL.Good post
  24. Yip me too. "Weve got hundreds of signatures" ie the ultras, mums, dads, family pets. The 13th man? Own importance way above their station
  25. Mcinnes certainly needs to wake to alternative ideas to progress, but its a bit defeatist to say normality has been resumed.Sevco are where they dont deserve to be,and we are playing under our capabilities, and the other teams are over respecting them like we did. Mowbrays Hibs didnt play with any fear or respect. That was a team to be envious of.It was a different attitude and approach that gave better OF teams regular spankings. We do have a squad there,if it was augmented with one or two imaginative signings, and a change in attitude we might get somewhere.Whether Mcinnes has it in him to pull something out the bag who knows.
