Chateau des Gravieres 2014 tonight. Which I bought. A sixth of the price of the bottle I drank last week, which was donated by a grateful client, Flor de Pingus 2000, the most expensive wine I've ever had.

Diet coke.....without the Jack Daniels.

Most folk try and do a dry January but not me as impossible not to indulge on New Years Day or Burns Day. Instead I am going to go for the month of February.

Only positive I have come up with so far is that it contains three days less than the first month of the year.

Had a few nips of Bruichladdich last night, not usually a fan of islays but I quite like it. Pretty smooth.

I've always liked whisky but didn't really touch it for 20/25 years until 10 years ago. A bottle would last 12/18 months in our hoose. When I discovered a new vintner, he offered me a taste of Bruichladdich XVII and I bought a bottle. I bought 5 bottles of it in 5 months but probably overdid it, not that you can get it anymore but it was that that switched my whisky light back on. A mate bought me a couple of special edition Bruichladdichs 2 or 3 years ago but I felt bad returning them to him because they were wasted on me, very dark and peaty and not my taste at all. Never touch Islays myself these days.

Cobra for me three crazz! Underrated beer imo

Badly needed though, the belly has to go.

 

W/e at home, trying to knock the house into shape for selling.A new beer, Deuchars IPA being endured to finish off the day 

Ending the night on kahlua, something I've always had many a time in cocktails but never on its own. Quite tasty.
