Ok I thought I would start a new thread for miscellaneous arty type stuff as i didn't know where to put this.

Its national poetry day, not a huge poem fan but I do have a favourite that was penned by a pal of mine back in the late 90's that any Aberdeen fan should appreciate

Ode to Baldur, man

I bet

That Jim Bett

Never met with the idea of failure

In those crazy 80's,

what must he think?

Baldur the last link

In a time when it worth getting out of bed on a Saturday

Still Eoin is worth his weight

And Derek isn't as bad as my mate Gary

Who lacks legs

But that's life

Posted

Wtf the fuck?

However, this may be the ideal place to showcase Kelt's post war classic portrait 'Cruciate at Dawn'.

Any cunt not into musicals and wanna get rid of some tickets to see Matilda?

Poems?

There was a young woman from Australia

Who thought all men were a failure

So she laid on her back

And opened her crack

And in backed a lorry and trailer

Posted

Mary had a little lamb

It's fleece was white and whispy.

Then it caught Foot and Mouth Disease

And now its black and crispy.

Ahhh Thank you.

Posted

Mary had a little lamb

she washed it in a basin

it slipped upon a bar of soap

and smashed it's fucking face in.

Posted

Humpty Dumpty sat on the bed. Little Bo Peep was giving him head. As soon as he came she started to weep. She could tell by the taste he'd been fucking her sheep.

Posted

There was a young dentist called Stone

Who saw all his patients alone

In a fit if depravity

He filled the wrong cavity

Good Lord! How his practice has grown!

I follow this blog on fezbook and twitter, highlights a lot of the decent stuff which gets done in/around my area as well as abroad. Most of you probably think its pish, but I think it adds a bit of colour and variation to the banal urban streetscape.

I hope this is more intune with what you wanted tlg

Just booked tickets for next month for Ai Weiwei's exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.

His first major exhibition in the UK. A man whom I admire for many reasons.

You must have been one of the first then. Only been going since 19th September!

Booked tables at Bob Bon Ricard and La Famiglia for two of the nights. You know either?

Not been to either but I've wanted to go to La Famiglia for a while.  Looks like an ace little restaurant.

We managed to get tickets for the second weekend. My favourite bit is the cubes, you'll know why when you see it.

Saw it in a documentary a couple of nights ago. One metre cubes, one of them made with compressed tea.

Looking forward to it, and the room with bike wheel chandeliers.

Manc,

La Famiglia is exceptional, one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. I tipped almost 50%!

Bob Bob Ricard was overpriced and very disappointing.

Ai Wei Wei was awesome.

If you've not been to the Saatchi Gallery, I strongly suggest you do.

Caffe Concerto on the Kings Road very close to it was excellent for lunch.

Excellent, glad you enjoyed your time down here!  Will definitely give La Famiglia a go.

Cafe Royal was excellent for lunch too, but it's so old and famous you probably knew this already. Try the mulled wine with rum-soaked cherries.

We love London. Best city on planet earth.
