  • As opposed to your posting on here... 😉

  • Forty nine years ago I saw my first League Cup final win with a 2-1 (AET) victory over The Victims with goals from Drew Jarvie and The Brush (RIP). Ally McLeod's (also RIP) finest hour as Aberdee

  • Wow, and he was still driving? I guess they don't have the same safety ethic in Hungary.

Nope, and that's probably a good thing. I was under a lot of that beer and I was also the drunkest I have ever been at a football match later.

;D

Think I'm out of picture on the left somewhere, absolutely steamin'.  Slept through most of the first half in the Allianz Arena.  :(

Anyone able to spot themselves in that clip  ???

Yeah. I see me sporting my early Kings of Leon look...

Must have been something to see the old stadium with a crowd like this in it:

On This Day: 13 March

1954: The all time Pittodrie attendance record is set when 45,061 fans pile in to see a 3-0 cup victory against Hearts, with the goals scored by O'Neill, Leggat and Hamilton.

Must have been something to see the old stadium with a crowd like this in it:

But we'd be fucked without Rangers.  ::)

Well, the bottom line is that the big house MUST stay open.

Oh yes indeed:

On This Day: 16 March

1983: The greatest night in most Dons' fans supporting careers as the Dandies twice come from behind to beat Bayern Munich 3-2 with goals from Simpson, McLeish and Hewitt. There has never been a Pittodrie atmosphere quite like this one, before or since.

One of my all time favourite Pittodrie memories

Huge, huge crowd and plenty of noise, may those days return soon!

One of my all time favourite Pittodrie memories

Agreed, don't think I've ever left Pittodrie on such a high

Semi Final (Dens Park) Saturday 5th April

HIBS (0) 0 ABERDEEN (2) 3

Stark (20), Black (35),

J Miller (81)

HIBS: Rough, Sneddon, Munro, May, Fulton, Rae, Tortolano (McBride), Chisholm, Cowan, Durie (Harris), Collins.

ABERDEEN: Gunn, McKimmie, Angus, Stark (McMaster), McLeish, W. Miller, Black, Cooper (J Miller), McDougall, Bett, Hewitt.

This is Aberdeen's seventh Scottish Cup semi-final in eight seasons under Fergie. Hibs showed the early sparkle. Gunn pushes Collins' deflected shot against the bar. But two crosses produced two headed goals by Stark & Black - the same pair who have destroyed Hibs in the League Cup Final. Hewitt also centred for Joe Miller's headed goal.
