Family Section?!?! - Thats a Laugh!

Let me introduce myself - I have lived in Aberdeen for almost six years now, but have remained a staunch Celtic supporter, I may not go to see them as often as I did when I lived in the west of Scotland, but my passion to see them succeed hasn’t faltered in the years I’ve lived here.

First and foremost can I congratulate the Aberdeen team for their resilient display on Sunday – plus their ability to convert their chances when presented with them.

However my congratulations ends with the team and the management, not the Dons fans……..

On Sunday my wife and I decided to have a family day at the football, this was to be my kids first ever senior game (daughter 7, son 4) – I managed to get 4 tickets for the ‘Family’ section i.e. Merkland Road end, as despite me being a Tim I thought it would make more sense to take my family to the family section, thinking I didn’t want my kids exposed to Celtic supporters who had been bevying for 4 hours on the journey north.  That turned out to be the worst decision I’ve made in my football-attending career.

The racist, foul and offensive language used in the ‘Family’ section appalled me.  ‘Fuck off back to Ireland ya tattie munching cunts!’, ‘Cheating Fennian Bastards!’ were amongst the many pleasantries that I couldn’t believe I was hearing!!!!!  I’m not naive enough to think this doesn’t happen at football matches, but surely not in the ‘family’ section.

No matter how drunk the Celtic fans were, there would be no way my kids would have been subjected to such obscenities if we had been in the Celtic section – this is why Celtic fans are welcome anywhere in Europe and have won awards for their behaviour and sportsmanship, this is the calibre of supporter I’m used to – even in the dark days of the ’90s when we finished behind team like Aberdeen in the league we still sang ‘Always look on the Brightside of life!’.  Putting aside their disgusting vocabulary, I couldn’t believe how fickle the Aberdeen fans were – Jimmy Calderwood has guided them to 3rd in the league, yet when he made the Aluko substitution on Sunday with the game poised at 2-2 he was lambasted, it proved to be a tactical success!

To summarise, I’m used to a superior human standing next to me at matches and I was very disappointed with the calibre of human I experienced on Sunday.  As a result in the future I’ll take my boy a 300 mile round trip to Glasgow if he wants to see football rather than go to this alleged family section of my local team – my doing this wont really impact Stewart Milne’s pocket, but how many people out there have had a similar experience? and refuse to expose their family to such behaviours?

I wonder if Rangers fans are as appalling in the presence of families?

Wouldn't you build up a fantasy life to block out the reality if you were abused as a child?

This really is distressing – isn’t this the type of rhetoric that UEFA are investigating Rangers forums about…….and I thought my North East comrades were better than them, so guess I am deluded!

I’m so disappointed with my local brothers this week……..what sort of a community am I to bring my children up in????

You know what you can do if you don't like it.

Maybe UEFA should be going into some of the Celtic bars in the East End of glasgow and investigate the collection jars for the IRA - been there and seen it from myself before you start.

Once again, where are you from?

You know what you can do if you don't like it.

But what would happen to the local economy? – you guys are demonstrating you don’t have the intelligence to support it………..

The local economy would improve without you and your obvious benefit drainage.

Die.

Begorrah, begorrah.

Utter disgrace so it is.

Once again, where are you from?

Carfin - a mining community near Motherwell, populated by Irish immigrants..........if you must know.......look up Carfin Grotto on Google if you are really interested!

but was there, and it was my families first time......

Well, once you've dried their eyes, fucking dry your own, eh?

Why don't you support your local team timmy?

But what would happen to the local economy? – you guys are demonstrating you don’t have the intelligence to support it………..

Are you single handedly supporting the economy of the North East?? Wow! You definitely deserve credit for that...

Carfin, featured recently in Taggart?

Anyway, should you not have supported Motherwell, as your local team?

But he's Irish.

Why would he want to support a Scottish team?

I've actually been to Carfin, dragged there by my mum and gran... I saw a statue of the Lady Madonna move.

She raised four fingers on her left hand.  And then two on the other.  I'm sure she was trying to tell me something...

What did you honestly expect, going into the home end, where every Aberdeen fan fuckin hates the Old Firm? Your a bit of a neep really arent you?

How many teams are closer to Carfin than the East End of Glasgow? I dunno but quite a few!

Dont pretend its something to do with your Irish ancestry - you (celtic fans) and rangers fans are all bigoted glory hunters.

Eternal damnation, fire and brimstone?

They are just huns that can't afford the fair to Ibrox!

Anyway - thanks for today's entertainment, you have all made me smile........!

A centre of cult activity, one brought over by the Irish.

A mining community? Not for a wee while numbnuts. Populated by Irish immigrants? Not any more, I suspect they are actually Scottish these days fooled into the usual cult driven nonsense that they are actually Irish by birthright.

I have no problem with you supporting Celtic, I'd hate a complete fool like you supporting Aberdeen. I really do not care.

But please, don't have any more kids.

Anyway, should you not have supported Motherwell, as your local team?

You've smiled like that since the local father gave you a mars bar and a kwenchy kup for sooking his holy sword of judgement.

They are just huns that can't afford the fair to Ibrox!

Unacceptable. There's a fair that goes to Ibrox?

Two things that bug me about this, minus the heinously obvious stupidity of this imposter, why come looking for sympathy, when you know you were in the wrong? I've been to the Paedo stand, I mean Jock stein at Celtic Park, and I have to say, it was horrendous. Truly the lowest forms of life I have ever witnessed, and yes, I have been to Stybrox before. But I didn't leave thinking, I want an apology, I know that that is the general IQ level of your buckie swigging support. So three words for you Tim boy:

DRY YOUR EYES.

Secondly, Funster, when did you last do the hokey cokey....you're a cripple ;) Stop pretending you're that flexible these days ;)

Padre was driving the chair at the Munich game.  ;D

I'll be honest and say I'm disgusted at what I've read in this post, and in today's society its simply unacceptable.

Its the kids I feel sorry for, being exposed to such a poisonous environment from a young age is quite clearly shocking. I mean letting your kids grow up to be Celtic fans?

You should be ashamed of yourself!!  :o
