Festivals

As festival season is slowly creeping up on us, I thought I'd do my usual and tout my TITP tickets to the bidder mug with the most cash.  Thereafter I'll go online, book flights and take in a festival with better weather, women and beer.

Have done the obvious ones so far:

Benicassim (nr Valencia) - http://fiberfib.com/en/line-up/line-up-2008/

Roskilde (nr Copenhagen) - http://www.roskilde-festival.dk/2008/frontpage/

Summercase (Barcelona/Madrid) - http://www.summercase.com/indexen.html

But prefer to keep on, keeping on and try something new, rather than hitting the same one every year.  Anyone been to any weird and wonderful others they'd recommend?

Is the correct answer

I would!

As would I, but I wanna see Placebo.

I also don't have a ticket!

Apparently they are not playing at the same time.  The set times will be staggered.

Prodigy > Placebo

Ticket > No ticket

Ticket < No Ticket

I'll be picking up a cheap one about a week before!

That's good news Kow, but looking at that whole line-up, I'm thinking a Sunday ticket would do me fine?

How and why?!?!

How and why?!?!

Probably eBay!

And £150ish seems awful expensive for a festival, where there's only a few bands I really wanna see. I'd much rather pay around the £50 mark.

Oh I thought you meant you had a connection or something ;) I agree, its one reason why I don't think i'll bother. Though the I think the line up is great!

If you're only going on the Sunday Dave then check out the Japanese Popstars album, well worth a listen.

Saturday is best for me - SFA, Orbital, Alabama 3!

Great "band"! I was gutted I missed them in Glasgow the other week. I'm sure they played/are playing the arches as well. Fucking dissertation  :hammer:

Yawnfest will be starting pretty soon. Start date? About the time mizer starts another thread.

I'm really looking forward to the "post a number related to this word" thread. ::)

Rockness line-up looks mostly shiiiiite imo.  No wonder it doesn't sell out.

Off to Exit this year. I finally got round to booking my flights to Budapest today, so gives me something to look forward to after this grueling final slog! Line up looks decent as well. Mainly just going to Kraftwerk, Prodigy and Moby. 3 acts I've always wanted to see!
