OrlandoDon Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago Not a bad game to play straight after the cup win. Despite them not being on form, they are only 4 behind us. Falkirk and Hibs have tough games so perhaps a chance to gain some ground. Shinnie was immense tonight, will he be able to start, and will It be him an afeez in the middle assuming Geiger is suspended. Defense did pretty well, Milne and McIntyre will continue in the middle, frame is improving. expect topi from the start with Cameron, hoping to see lobban right mid but expect milanovic again. Despite our struggles, nisbet is playing well, expect another good game from him. 3-1 us, nisbet Cameron and topi. Quote
Panda Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Good chance Armstrong might be back (think Leven said injury wasn't too bad but Wednesday was just a bit too soon for him). Would start him ahead of Milanovic. Other than that, same team as much as possible (dunno the situation with Shinnie/Geiger, hard to keep on top of suspensions these days). With five subs available I don't think you should make too many changes though unless necessary. Edited 21 hours ago by Panda Quote

Won't Shinnie be suspended for the next couple of league games? Quote

I honestly don’t know, I thought Milne had one more game but played tonight, don’t even know how many games Shinnie got, and what is geiger’s punishment? Pretty sure Geiger misses the next competitive game but no clue what else, and I clue for the other two. Quote

If it’s deemed serious foul play or violent conduct then it’s automatic ban for next game irrespective of the competition then next game in the competition the that the card was recieved in. So I would think Geiger will miss the Dundee league game and then the Dunfermline Cup game and Shinnie will be suspended for Dundee league game As an aside trying to find the list of suspended players is a right pain in the arse these days. SFA used to publish a list weekly but guessing it must be something they put on the player registration system these days. Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Looking forward to this. Feels like an age since I was last at Pittodrie. In South Stand Hame Out for a meal and a few drinks afterwards. 3-0 the Dons. Nisbet, Cameron and Milanovic Quote
Ajja Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago We can’t take this one for granted. Dundee are much improved despite form. Yogane will cause problems for our right side and Congreve is a decent player down the other side. Frame was good last night so hopefully he can keep the latter under wraps. Dundee have attacking threat but are pretty flaky at the back so we need to be on the front foot and get at them early. Shame we won’t have the bite and energy of Geiger or Shinnie in the middle as that’s starting to look tighter already and contained a good Motherwell side twice in a week. Quote
Blow.Up.Sheep Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Have no idea why but I think we will win this comfortably. 3-0 the good guys (Nisbet x3) Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 11 hours ago Author Report Posted 11 hours ago So who can confirm shinnie for Saturday? Missing him and Geiger, and possibly Armstrong if he’s not fit, certainly hurts us. And is Milne done with his suspension? Quote

Pressley has actually done a pretty solid job there and I personally think this will be a tough game. I would snap your hand off for a scabby, dull 1-0 win 2bh. 1 Quote
Ajja Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago I’m the same. They’ll give us a game but we do seem to have some kind of voodoo spell over them these days. 1 Quote
Bukta Bertie Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago It'll be an easy enough win but to be absolutely honest I'm not all that fussed. The league has gone. Just a series of friendlies between now and the end of the season. It's all about the Cup now. Quote

Regardless the best chance of actually retaining the Scottish Cup is for the team to steadily improve over the duratuion of the season and league games are key to that so I'm very fussed about seeing us put some wins on the board. Ajja Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Agreed top 6 is probably a stretch now although Falkirk injury situation looks like they might struggle to keep up their results. It would be nice to make top 6 to be able to stick a spanner in the works of various teams but not sure there would be much else in it for us. Certainly would be good not to have to worry about the Dundonians/St Mirren/Killie coming up behind us. Tlg makes a good point about momentum. That’ll be essential to give us a chance at retaining our cup. Quote

I'll be frank. Think I already mentioned it but I don't want a top six finish. I can't think of much worse than either rangers or hearts clinching the league title in Aberdeen. I was there when rangers did it last time and it was absolutely hellish. Bottom six, lots of confidence building wins albeit against the lesser clubs and then LC group stages in July to give us a proper pre-season for the 2026/2027 league campaign. For me that is the golden ticket. Quote

Then we go pump Sevco 3-0 in the cup final. 3 Quote

I think it’s all on the SFA’s database/website/fuckknows_min/I’mnaeafucking_geek but I’ve let my account lapse. It seems to have been accepted and welcomed by club secretaries etc as it saves fucking around with teamsheets etc on busy matchdays https://www.scottishfacomet.co.uk Quote

It's a risk I'm not prepared to take. Bottom six please. Quote
manc_don Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I was sure Geiger was only going to miss the next two cup games, league wasn't impacted? Missing both him and Shinnie would be big, Palaversa who's started making a reappearance doesn't have the drive or legs to do it. Quote

Better to be involved at the highest level possible and have a shot at Europe. Quote
