ChatGPT is a massive fucking Dandy.

I just asked ChatGPT “what is the best internet forum for fans of Aberdeen Football Club?” and this is the genuine response:

“If you’re looking for an active, independent forum dedicated to Aberdeen FC, DonsTalk is probably the best choice today.

* DonsTalk – The busiest independent Aberdeen FC forum, with hundreds of thousands of posts, active match threads, transfer discussions, off-topic sections, and regular daily activity. It was recently upgraded and remains well maintained.

Other places worth considering:

* Reddit – r/AberdeenFC: Smaller than DonsTalk but friendly and useful for news, discussion, and overseas supporters. Community discussions suggest it’s welcoming, although not as busy as the dedicated forums.

* AFC Chat: Historically one of the largest Aberdeen fan forums. It still has a loyal following and is frequently mentioned by Scottish football fans, though opinions on its atmosphere are mixed.

* Official Aberdeen FC supporter channels: The club runs supporter engagement through its official supporter forum meetings, supporter clubs, and social media, but these aren’t open discussion forums in the traditional sense.

For most fans, I’d recommend:

1. DonsTalk for detailed discussion and match threads.

2. r/AberdeenFC for a more relaxed community.

3. Follow the club’s official channels for announcements and news.

If you’re after the sort of forum where people dissect every signing, selection, and rumour in minute detail, DonsTalk is the strongest option.”

👌

No mention of the guid (sunken) traaler Aberdeen-Mad?

Feels like chat levels have picked up here a little or am I just imagining it? AFC-chat is a bit of a mess. I still have a look when it’s slow here but it’s full of squabbling and wanna be comedians. Topics go so off sometimes for pages while egos play out their own childish bullshit.

I noticed it's a bit busier now. Maybe it's because the new season begins today.

Must be time for someone in the stands to start tweaking the words to Mrs Robinson.

Could be the new theme in the Red Shed.

............here's to you Stevie Robinson, Pittodrie loves you more than you will know, woah, woah, woah

Would it require us to actually start to love him first or are we comfortable living in the duplicity of it?

Maybe go with…Here’s to you Stephen Robinson, we all love a trier but you know… a long way to go.

I’d be ok with this. The fact that it doesn’t quite flow is a good representation of where we are as a club.

It flows if you get the emphasis and timing right. I put a lot of work into that 👀🤪

If you could record it and put it on YouTube, that would help.

OK well that’s not going to happen 😜. I’ve already got a record deal for my limerick.

A couple of beers in on the train this Saturday and it’s happening.

How come on the BBC Sport Gossip page, there's always about twenty paragraphs about "Rangers are looking to sign..." or "Celtic could be about to sign..." but all we get is "Ronan fancies playing for his country again" or "Ex-Don David Winnie reckons Aberdeen could do alright this season"?

I think we all know the answer to that question.

Two clubs is all most of the Scottish media are interesting in unfortunately

Because that's what is in the papers, unless there are loads of Aberdeen stories in today's papers that have been missed?

The bottom of the barrel stories is the BBC desperately trying to get Aberdeen mentioned cos they're a big ticket.

Because the only folk who give a toss about anything the Dons are doing signing-wise is already on this website and doesn't learn anything from a click on the BBC.

Niall McGinn has left his part time roles with us and Peterhead, for a full time role, back home, with Derry City.

Hope he comes back to coach one day. Was a nice story having him teaching the yoof. Guess tinder had dried up ? 😂

McGinnn is as popular a figure at Derry as he was with us. Suspect he’ll be there for a while as their current interim manager, Mark Connelly has zero experience in coaching.

Being married to a Derry girl, I watch a fair number of their games. Sometimes even listen on Radio Foyle 🤣

The Tennents Sixes is returning.

It's not going to be current players which is a shame. Honestly, we could play guys needing the minutes; I'd pay to watch Suman, Knoester, Milne, Lobban, Frame and Bilalovic bring the trophy home.

We're playing one Aberdeen fixture per session, at £25 a ticket for each session (£35 for the final). Would have been better just playing each group in each session and you could have paid £25 to watch all three Aberdeen games (not the £75 plus another £35 for the final - family friendly eh?)

And, continuing the moan, why are they grouped by geography if all the games are in Glasgow? Let us have a crack at the Old firm or the Edinburgh two. Arsed about how we do against St Johnstone's legends.

Still, after winning the masters for the previous two seasons, we've got to fancy our chances.

Can you imagine how excited Hearts fans got when they heard the news though....

I heard about it through a Hearts fan excitedly telling me 😆

When he found out it was club legends playing he had to ask what they were.

They're two times winners you know.

Probably about the only thing they have won in my lifetime without financially cheating 😉
