Didn’t quote a timeline just said it was a permanent deal- certainly not 4 months wouldn’t be surprised if either Chris Harvey got it wrong or if we were signing him for 2 years- both parties are liable to a faux pas from time to time Quote

tlg1903 Posted Tuesday at 22:53 Report Posted Tuesday at 22:53 Bear in mind as well folks Nilsen has been linked with moves and palaversa hasn't had a sniff in ages. Fair chance both of these guys are away in the next few days. I like the sound of the Nigerian lad fwiw. A bit of muscle in the centre of the park can reap dividends in this league and it sounds like he's going to be bringing that. Derek Rae reckons he can play a wee bit as well and whilst I can understand why people are making Rama comparisons from what I can gather he seems more of a Bisconti type. And wouldn't that be nice, Bisco was a hell of a player. 3 Quote
blinlemon Posted Tuesday at 23:21 Report Posted Tuesday at 23:21 (edited) Bisconti was a star. Gave not a fuck for opponents’ reputations, and treated them all as if they’d spilt his pint, or been found rattling his granny. The sort of coorse, nasty shitehoose I love to see in our midfield. Nielsen looked like a CNS when he arrived, but shitehooses tend to end up shackled and restrained by the modern “there was contact”/“he was entitled to go down” fannydancer brigade. Davie Robb, Tattie, and Simmie were exemplars of CNS ideology, approach, and semi-brutal behaviour. Bisconti was up there with them. Plop & Jism article on Roberto the Radge: https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/6452834/roberto-bisconti-aberdeen-and-skovdahl-saved-my-football-career/ Edited Tuesday at 23:22 by blinlemon Souness remains a cunt Quote
OrlandoDon Posted Tuesday at 23:51 Report Posted Tuesday at 23:51 Derek Rae’s article was interesting, plus this lad has been compared in a way to Simmie. You can tell by the reactions on line how much we need this type of player. as has been said though, Ambrose looked good on YouTube. Time will tell, but surely with the amount of poorer signings, we can get it right at some point! the thistle lad has been mentioned, but he’s younger and I have hopes for Kjarten. This lad is good age, good experience. Hasn’t played a lot of late but in modern football that can happen. Hope this is his opportunity to shine. Quote
Jute Posted yesterday at 07:34 Report Posted yesterday at 07:34 Is there any explanation given why Aremu has hardly kicked a ball for 3 seasons? Quote

Ajja Posted yesterday at 08:14 Report Posted yesterday at 08:14 I’m clinging on to the idea that a CDM might not need as much time to ‘get up to speed’ when his primary function is to be an angry bastard and crunch folk in midfield Quote
RicoS321 Posted yesterday at 08:31 Report Posted yesterday at 08:31 Will be interesting, if this does go through, how we setup in midfield. We're saying defensive midfielder, but he's not really, not in the same way as Nilsen or Kjartansson (looks to be). He's a runner like Shinnie or Ramadani. Exactly what we needed before we signed Cameron! Against most of the teams in the SPFL, two industrious midfielders will be useful, which leaves one space for Cameron, Clarkson and Armstrong. Armstrong showed at the weekend that he can offer something different with only one runner against low quality teams where we need to score, so I can see his game time still being okay. But he can also play that number ten role that Cameron is in when required too. It's going to mean very little game time for Clarkson and we'd comfortably get by without him. Continuing to destroy his value (while potentially raising that of a Hun) until summer seems a little silly, and we should be aiming to offload in this window if possible. 1 Quote
BigAl Posted 16 hours ago Author Report Posted 16 hours ago Now being reported that Aremu deal all agreed, awaiting granting of a work permit and hopefully registered by the weekend Quote

Blow.Up.Sheep Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago That's the club announcing Yengi officially off to Japan on loan for the rest of the season. Hope there is also a mandatory obligation to buy him clause associated with the deal. Nothing against the loon as such but fk me whoever identified him as a target for the club to go after as our next number 9 should also be on the same flight out of Aberdeen to Japan with him on a one way ticket ffs Ah the best Yengi min, as I say not your fault at all Quote

A guy whose confidence had been obliterated before he ever set foot on the pitch. I'd like to have seen a loan in this country to see if he could get some sort of confidence built. If we just ignore his messages and calls, then he might stay in Japan. 1 Quote

I was also told we were chipping in £10k a week for Karlsson. That’s a fair wedge freed up to spend elsewhere if those numbers were correct (I’ve no reason to doubt it)… Quote

I dinna really ken how the wage thing works with loans, do we still have to pay his wage or a % of it or is that something done on a case by case basis and agreed up font between both clubs. How does that normally work, but yes Moog thats a fair chunk of change right there between them two Quote

Depends how desperate the club who owns the player wants money for wages. And how desperate the loan club wants him. Quote
