  1. I wasnt born in the Apollo era, but i do understand why people say it is faked, however I honestly believe they happened without a doubt. There is a lot of talk about radiation belts, no stars in background, technology at the time, shadows, flag movement etc, but as with all such huge accomplishments in life, humans will find a way to say that it's fake. If someone wants to believe something, they will no doubt find a way... look at god. Not visible, but believed in by billions. Have a look at the picture archives http://www.apolloarchive.com/apollo_gallery.html If the space race was a genuine thing, the Russians would clearly have dismissed it as fake, yet they commended it. Im not saying everything we are told is true, but its too elaborate even by todays standards for it to be a fake. If it was indeed done in a Hollywood basement, technology of now would be able to prove it as fake. NVIDIA tried to prove the images fake and couldn't, even using today's photographic technologies. I added a video onto my original post... one of my favorites.
  2. As an amateur astronomer, I have often look up and asked myself questions about the universe and what part we play in it all. Is earth unique? Is it the only one with intelligent and advanced forms of life? Will we ever know or will we ever be allowed to know? With the mere mention of alien life, everyone gets themselves into a tiz. It often brings about the debate of religion vs science and little green men with big bulbous eyes, but of course alien life may exist elsewhere in microbe form and may have not advanced any further. Would such a discovery have any impact on your own beliefs or on religion? Would humans be able to handle that sort of information. As for my own beliefs, I 100% believe we are not alone in the universe. It seems far too vast to have no intelligent life existing anywhere else and I’m almost certain that organisms of some kind likely exist, even within our own Solar System. There are many out there who debate the existence of alien life, the impact on religious beliefs, whether the moon landings happened, are there rovers on Mars etc. What’s your thoughts? Worth a watch !!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJXQZALNFrc
  3. So true!! I wonder what our future generations will think of us when they realise how much we took this planet for granted and openly destroyed it to make £billions. As Gandhi famously stated “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed.”
  4. I didnt watch the ivory documentary, however i have seen something similar in the past. Fucking heartbreaking. How a human can accept within himself that killing a defenseless animal for "medicine" or trophies is necessary, i will never know. Elephants in particular are very intelligent and emotional animals and to just hack one down for its tusks makes me sick to the stomach. Some of the images i saw in that documentary from a while ago, will haunt me forever... slaughtered elephants, gorillas, tigers, lions etc... awful.
  5. BBC : Global wildlife populations have fallen by 58% since 1970.. The Living Planet assessment, by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and WWF, suggests that if the trend continues that decline could reach two-thirds among vertebrates by 2020. The figures suggest that animals living in lakes, rivers and wetlands are suffering the biggest losses. Human activity, including habitat loss, wildlife trade, pollution and climate change contributed to the declines. Losses are on track to reach 67% by 2020. Its a pretty shocking statistic, but certainly not surprising. We are absolutely obsessed with consuming all we can and destructing the natural world, that one day there will be very little left except us. Humans missed the boat to be decent beings a long time ago and once we consume and destroy everything, we will then destroy ourselves. As a so called "intelligent" species, we really do our best to fuck it all up. The Earth truly has entered the Anthropocene.
  6. I cant believe my song from below was 20 years ago... even typing 1996 feels like it was only 10 years ago, not 20. Cant imagine what 40 years must feel like. Its good to reminisce
  7. I take anything a Celtic fan says with a pinch of salt, but if it were to be true then fantastic. However, as you say they would be allowed to use the national stadium no doubt. I would imagine there must be stadiums in worse conditions than Ipox that havent been condemned yet... but who knows, maybe truth in it!!
  8. Huns finished 1-1, Caley, Partick and Killie all winning... tims 4-0 now
  9. Probably, although St J look the better side and more likely to score.
  10. ... takes you back to one of the happiest times in your life! Takes me back me to 1996, 14 years old and entering some of the best years of my life. Cracking group of mates, causing havoc and laughing till we dropped. Love listening to it and takes me back to much simpler times
  11. a draw probably suits us and with Hearts losing, it could end being a decent night. Need County to do something though too.
  12. Dexter was excellent, tough the last two seasons weren't as good. I have seen all the Homelands and think they are great too. If you can get past Carrie greetin' all the time, then you are onto a winner
  13. Tims up 1-0 Huns and Hearts both down 1-0
  14. Never owned a Vauxhall myself but have enjoyed the ones i have driven...
  15. A Vauxhall man! My wife owns an Insignia, though just the 2.0CDTi version. Nice car actually and I enjoy driving it around. Someone crashed into my car last week, so currently driving around in a 66' Astra (hire car) until the repairs are done. Lovely motor and brilliant to drive... just the 1.4 petrol engine lets it down. 40MPG and slow as shit... just doesnt do it for me. Though i see they do a 160BHP diesel which would be pretty nippy i reckon. There is a VXR, but its based on the GTC, so really a MK6 Astra rather than a MK7. Some decent cars in this thread. And RicoS321... Im guessing its a Nissan Leaf.
  16. One for the car enthusiasts. Im interested to see fit folk have driven in the past and are driving these days. I have only been driving since 1999 but have had a few rafts in that time. Here's my very mixed list 87 Ford Escort 1.3 Popular 87 Ford Escort RS Turbo 94 VW Golf 1.4 98 Ford KA 1.3 00 Renault Clio 1.4 56 Ford Focus 1.6 56 Seat Leon 2.0D 57 Seat Leon 2.0D 07 Honda Civic 2.2D Currently driving a 12' Plate Ford Focus 1.6D... I have had two crashes in this thing in the last 18 months (both not my own fault). Looking for a wee change at some point in the future, as it's certainly not my favourite car and is a tad on the slow side. Best one by far had to be the Civic... loved that car, but she had to go as things started to go to shit with her. Worst one was the Ford KA... a desperate buy at the time and a god awful car to own.
  17. In/out: In Prematcher: To early for a pint, so drive in only. Match: Lower RDS Post matcher: Hame Prediction: 1-3 ... not to be depressing, but I can see us going on a wee losing streak in the run up to the final.
  18. Yup, if that is classed as a penalty the game is tatties. Terrible decision!!!
  19. I dont expect us to win every game, but we should be beating Hamilton. Christ they had only won one game before tonight. Very disappointing and Saturdays game will be must win if Celtic win tomorrow.
  20. Aye its a shite place to go. The run was going to come to an eventually but disappointing it was to this lot and especially before Saturday's game.
  21. Sounds like its all gone quiet. Need some miracles to get anything out of this now. We really needed 3 points tonight going into this weekends games.
  22. ] Radio saying we should have had 2 pens this half already.
  23. I use the Android TV Box M8 Quad Core. Installed Wookie on it and havent had any problems as yet. Like yourself, Im using Exodus or SALTS addon for movies/TV, but im not having any issues with them. I have various other addons for the sports etc. Sometimes its a pain finding a stream, but I usually find what im looking for. The trouble with Kodi is that its a fast moving world and its difficult to keep up to date with all the new addons etc. Some addons can all of sudden just stop working if they have been shut down, but they are usually replaced with someone as goof or better. I persevere only because i refuse to pay for SKY. Them robbing bastards have had about 10K off of me in the last ten years... but no more.
